A few months ago I purchased a bareMinerals Gen Nude Under Over lip liner pencil and I loved it so much I went back and bought almost all of the other shades!!!! I have always preferred a pencil type lip liner rather than a twist up style and I never thought I’d find another brand that did these better than MAC but I seriously think bareMinerals has done it. Not only are the colors rich and saturated they are slightly more pigmented and easier to apply than MAC’s lip pencils which tend to be a bit harder.
Now, I don’t have ALL of MAC’s lip pencils and bareMinerals doesn’t even come close to having the same shade range, but I did manage to find a few dupes despite that. bareMinerals’ Borderline is almost exactly the same as MAC’s Subculture, bareMinerals’ Freestyle is almost exactly the same as MAC’s Oak, bareMinerals’ On Point is very similar to MAC’s Spice and bareMinerals’ Vibe is almost exactly the same as MAC’s Whirl.
Overall these have quickly become my favorite lip pencils, I use them on a daily basis, especially Borderline which is the perfect pinky nude color. If bareMinerals comes out with any new shades I’ll be all over them. LOVE!!!!
