Pretty amazing. For 99 cents, even if the color is not something you’ll see yourself reaching for that often, it’s nice to have on hand. The color payoff is excellent and this applied much creamier and more evenly than Brandywine, the other WnW lipliner I’ve reviewed.
If you’re partial to reddish brown lip colors, deep nudes and the like, you will love this. The color is essentially midway between brown and rusty red, so it pulls a bit warm. It is very easy to apply, especially when it’s been freshly sharpened and warmed up on the hand first. During this time of year I like to break out the warmer and darker lipsticks and this is a no-brainer to pair them with.
For a dollar you get a huge pencil that will most likely last you a couple years even if you’re using this every week. This does not fade unless you’re eating something messy. Excellent staying power, similar to the MAC liners. If you come across this liner I would highly recommend stocking up.

Somewhat dry but very pigmented. Works well as an all over matte lip color too. I don’t really like this color on myself as it’s too dark and too brown, but that’s just a personal preference. At 99 cents a pencil, you can’t really go wrong!

Every day, I go to my favorite deli and seeing that a different girl was working behind the counter, I had to know what she was wearing on her lips. She actually showed me what was in her pocket and it turned out to be the WnW 711 Chestnut lip liner. lol I ran out to get it since it also happened to be on sale at Rite Aid. When worn with a lip balm, it turned out to be the most gorgeous Clinique Black Honey/MAC Retro/the discontinued MAC Plum Perfect Lip Conditioner dupe (or at least what it looks like on me) I’ve come across. I usually line my upper lips and fill it in, and then add a tiny bit of Carmex lip balm on my bottom lips and just rub them together. It turns out to be this sheer reddish brown tint that I was always striving for. For reference, I’m an NC30/NW25. Now, I’m just hoping that WnW won’t discontinue this, EVER!!

I love this lip liner! I pair it with ‘Bare It All” lipstick and I love it. I went and purchased a backup just in case I lose one. Love it

Ahhhh I purchased this because I thought it was eyeliner. I’m never making that mistake again. But it was only a dollar so the price was well worth the error. #711 is a rich chocolaty color with a red base. I had a little bit of trouble opening the packaging, there’s no serration to peel off the package so I had to use my teeth to pull off the cap; but once you open its all good. The color payoff is excellent and it runs so smooth for such a cheap price. The color is too dark for me, however, and ages a little so it isn’t something I’ll use regularly. If I’m particularly crazy with my FOTD I’ll use it with a light pink lipstick to give my lips an ombre look, but that’s about it. I will repurchase, but I’m not coming back to this color. You will need to buy a seperate sharpener for this pencil.

Great deep wine-brown liner. Very pigmented, smooth texture, stays put, and cost $1. Works for a variety of skintones and lipcolors. Use color alot for myself too. (DDD NW45ish or HIP820)

Hello,
I know my english isn’t good, but i will try it. I am a girl from Germany, and I like this Lipliner very much. But in Germany we haven’t it any more. I don’t Know how to get it, so i thought, that i can try it on the Internet side from the USA because i have read, that the Product is from USA. I would do everything to get this lipliner again. And I woul Pay every price. If someone say “Oh, this poor small girl, I will help her”, then please answear.

I would never have bought WnW products, have I not seen the MUA reviews and the Rite Aid sales. Wow! I am impressed! So much better than those gwp EL that made me dread lipliners for all those years. Ok, now to the actual review…
#711 is a rich cocoa-brown lipliner with hint of earthy red. I find that for pigmented lips it works extremely well as a base layer, either alone or topped with gloss. The texture is creamy and glides on easily. The color is quite versatile (as long as your lips are not very pale), you can use it with a pink l/g over it for a more subdued look or with a shiny clear one for more dewy look. Love it! Will be buying more when Rite Aid’s BOGO comes around again.

I purchased this liner due to the high reviews on W&W line. I am very pleased with #711 – great rich brown ..I dont see the red in this pencil, it shows up brown on me. I have two other department store brand brown liners and my Wet n Wild from my days as a teenager beats the others down pact in creamy and smooth texture in application, length, and for 1.50 on sale, you can’t beat that. HG~!

Good basic red-brown lipliner for your collection. Best when prepped with a lip balm. I wear it with a l/s because it is too dark to wear w/o even with my pigmented lips. And the color works well with many l/s. The cover stays on tight never comes off compared to my BB, Chanel and NARS l/l. Less than a dollar-what’s not to love?
