i love the formula! it smells so heavenly, like caramel candy. only thing that i’m iffy about is the applicator, the brush tip frays a bit too much for me 🙁 but i really dig it, i got the shade in Phew! and i love it so much.

I’m torn with this one. I love the formula but hate the new brush tip wands. I liked it when they had the doe foot applicators. The new wands make it hard to evenly distribute product. If you don’t mind a brush tip applicator then this is an awesome gloss. There’s a huge shade range. Curvii (peachy nude) and Fairy Floss (pinky nude) are two of my favorites.
Pros:
Nice consistency.
Offers colors that are sheer or fully pigmented depending on what you like.
Great price.
Wide range of colors and finishes.
Cons:
Crappy wand.
Cheap packaging.
I won’t buy anymore of these, unfortunately. I hate the new wands that much. Love the formula tho.

I own several of these from Ulta, and I think they’re great. The glossiness, the shimmer, the color, are all on point. They lean more sheer than opaque (at least the ones from Ulta). Not super tacky. Decent wear time. Now let’s talk about the price. It seems really nice, until I looked at the amount of product in the tube. 0.11oz for $6, and I go through the tube quickly. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because makeup expires. There are definitely brands who give you twice as much product for a dollar or two more, though. Worth looking at it if you’re truly on a budget.

I have 4 shades of this lip gloss: Moonchild, Aquarius & Bestie, Dumpling (all varying shades of nude lol). For the price, I think these can’t be beat (I got all 4 + 2 lipsticks for about $30). I do think the formula varies between shades, but I think that’s par for the course with Colourpop. They’re not perfect, but they’re pretty good and I def recommend trying them. For sure they are much better than a LOT of high end glosses.
Pros: smooth & non-sticky, decent opacity, decent wear, good feel and pleasant to use. The shade range is amazing, you’ll find anything and everything from basic to avant garde. The price is right, obviously.
Cons: I don’t like the brush applicator (tbh I have been spoiled by the Fenty gloss bomb applicator), application can be patchy, and some shades do settle into lip texture and imperfections, so I can’t just slap them on and go. They are a strange mix of super high and super low quality?

I have 5 shades of this: Secret Weapon (sheer orange, but looks more pink on), Fantasia (sheer nude with tiny gold sparkle), Dumpling (Karrueche Brown Sugar Collection, mid-opacity pumpkin-nude), My Jam (metallic bronze) and On Board (sheer prismatic). I quite like most of the lip glosses. They are a little bit like the NYX ones though, but definitely like the packaging of these ones better. NYX has a more consistent formula though. I enjoy the less opaque glosses more.
I don’t enjoy the applicator, which is a little brush – I would like a doe-foot much better, especially because the little brush doesn’t distribute the color very well. Some of the colors go on slightly streaky with the brush. For those who want to know about smells: this has a pretty lovely caramel smell and no taste – I think it smells like Buxom glosses, minus the mint (which means you can actually use this in colder weather). The smell dissipates quite quickly.
The formula is moisturizing and only very slightly sticky again: comparable to NYX). I really enjoy how many different colors there are in this – those are maybe the main difference between Colourpop and NYX glosses: their colors don’t overlap much. Overall, I like these and have ordered a few more shades.

I have Moon Child from the Kathleen Lights collection and I have to say overall this is my favorite formulation of lipgloss ever. It has really nice color opacity and the texture is very smooth, non sticky, it’s almost a littlr moisturizing if I do say so myself. It glides well on the lips and has decent staying power. It isn’t super high shine but at the end of the wear test my lips did look very hydrated and plumped. Great quality for the price.

I bought this on sale from the Colour Pop website in the Sookie shade, and I like it. It is a deep eggplant shade that looks very intense when I first apply, but when when I apply it to my lower lip only and then press my lips together it diffuses out nicely to a pretty, sheer, deep plum/berry shade. I do not usually like liquid lip colors and glosses because they feel sticky and and goopy, but this one feels nice and it seems to have a wear time of about 2-3 hours.

I like the formulas on these lipglosses a lot better than higher ends. The ones ive tried are some of my favorite ones out in the market. Ive tried mac plushglass and lustreglass, glossier, fenty, nars xxx , chanrl glossimers and buxom lip cream. I would prefer the colourpop ones because its unscented. Plus all the other brand feel so goopey, thick and uncomfortable. colourpop glosses feel so light and are non sticky.
The shade aquarius is really nice nude that reminds me of velvet teddy. The shade neat freak is beige clear with pink and gold shimmer that can slightly nude out your lips, It reminds me of mac plushglass in nice buzz but less sticky and so much more flattering because of the pink shimmer. Its the only gloss i own right now to pop on the center of my lips for a bigger lip effect. I really want to try fairy floss, i heard its a dupe in color for white russian by buxom
edit- i gotten fairy floss and i dont really care for it. its creamy milky peachy pink that can look a bit light on .me. it is a bit peachier than white russian. Its more flattering but still is harder to work with. though, White russian tend to look more ashy on me. fairy floss is going to cling onto dry patches so exfoliate well. It is a cream so it will look patchy so it does take more time to blend but once you do it looks very sexy with a smokey eye or in the center of the lips with a darker lip liner like mac whirl or nars vence for an ombre look. I like a more clear gloss because opaque ones can look a bit thick on the lips. I wouldnt layer this with lipstick because of that reason.
*****Dupe alert nyx butter gloss fortune cookie is a dupe for fairy floss but a tiny bit more pink and available at ulta or cvs so dont have to pay for colourpop insane 6 dollar shipping. wont be repurchasing,.

I absolutely love ColourPop’s lip glosses! They are the best & inexpensive imo. They are smooth, pigmented, shiny, & lasts, but definitely not sticky at all. I have a few colors and they are gorgeous especially the color Aquarius, which youtuber Kathleen Lights came up with. I think it is my exact lip shade only better. It’s the perfect light rose.

Colourpop’s Ultra Glossy Lip is lip gloss for people who don’t like lip gloss. They are so good; not sticky at all, which pretty much makes them a slam dunk in my book. You won’t have to worry about your hair sticking to your lips on a windy day, which is normally the hallmark of lip gloss. They are super hydrating and fragrance free, so they are really comfortable to wear. I know some people like an added scent to lip gloss, but me and my sensitive nose are not one of them. So far, I have these in Aquarius, Finder’s Keepers and Bestie, all of which have a crème finish:
– Aquarius is a very pigmented pinky nude that seems to look great on so many skintones. I am super pale with cool yellow undertones l and I love the way it looks on me. On top of my pigmented lips, Aquarius looks like a neutral peachy pink nude, but when I tone down my pigmented lips with foundation or with my MAC Lip Erase balm, it is a beautiful slightly cool-toned pink nude, which is more true to color. I definitely see why so many people love this shade. It is fast becoming my go-to lip gloss for my everyday look.
– Finder’s Keepers – Another favorite of mine! It’s a gorgeous, pigmented cool-toned purple-y mauve. It is so soft and pretty! It looks great on people with cool and neutral skin tones. I absolutely love this one!
– Bestie is a pigmented mid-tone pinky peach that has neutral to warmer undertones. It looks like a slightly lighter version of the Ultra Satin Lipstick, ‘ALLYSA.’ Unfortunately, it doesn’t look that good on my cool yellow undertoned skin, so I rarely wear it. It is just too peachy for me, but does look great on my warmer toned friends and family.
I highly recommend these lip glosses! They are fantastic! Oh, did I mention they were only $6? Colourpop frequently has 20% off and BOGO sales, so if you sign up for their newsletter, they will notify you when they occur. They totally know how to suck you in, so beware of a potential Colourpop addiction. I am constantly amazed with the quality of their products. They are comparable to so many high-end products, but at a small fraction of the price.
