I tried the Rosy Nude in this lip paint and its a great product. Very hydrating and nourishing. It glides on easily and on me, it looks like a wonderfully natural nude shade with a touch of colour. There’s no smell and no irritation on my sensitive lips. Easy to reapply. It will show any lines you have in your lips so if that is of concern, us a iip primer first. I love it.

The lip paint feels amazing. It’s silky, smooth and glides on so well. It’s a perfect “my lips but better” color. I just wish it lasted longer because the color really is gorgeous.

I tried these in a few colors and they are just okay. Upon initial application they make lips like very shiny and plump, but the shine fades pretty quickly. I like that they leave a subtle stain behind afterwards, but if you’re buying a “glossy” lip paint it should stay glossy for a while. Another thing I didn’t like was the smell. The smell is like crayons or clay, one that expired lip products sometimes take on.

I have this gloss in 2 shades and I wear them often. At my age adding some color to my lips is a must but I have to be picky about the formula and the wear. Anything too matte or to opaque is aging and unflattering. Same with too metallic or too bold. I think natural sheer colors with a nice satin sheen look most flattering on mature ladies and this gloss meets that criteria. I like that it’s pigmented enough that I don’t have to layer it over a lipstick. Gives the perfect amount of shine and plumpness without being overdone and it feels nice and moisturizing. Doesn’t smell or taste offensive. Only downside is that it does completely wear off throughout the day and it totally disappears whenever I eat so it does have to reapplied several times during the day but hey it’s in a cute tube that is easy to carry and I like the doe foot applicator that allows me to apply it precisely.

These glossy lip paints have enough pigmentation to the worn on their own. For a lip gloss, they are opaque, not sticky, and last well on the lips. Their ingredients are fairly hydrating (including some oils, glycerin and hyaluronic acid) and there are no offensive ingredients such as perfume or mint. So they are suitable for sensitive and dry lips. I cannot wear much during the winter months, as my lips always become chapped – i live in a nordic country – but I can still use these.
I have tried several shades and I am particularly happy with the light nudes, which really show opaquely and look gorgeous. The colour is never patchy and does not emphasise lines or texture. Lips look younger and plumper. The nudes can be applied without mirror.
I am still more of a hydrating lipstick person, still not into lip glosses, but these made it into my winter coat pockets and to my desk at work.
If I had to recommend a shade, I would say obvi, which looks good on my when I am fair (nc20) and when I self tan all the way to nc30.

I am surprised just how difficult it is to find a decent lip gloss these days, everyone is obsessed with liquid lipsticks, so brands don’t make as many nice glosses anymore which is sad.
So when I spotted this Glossy Lip Paint line at Sephora, I was pleasantly surprised to see so many flattering colours. These glosses are pigmented and they are not sheer. The formula is fab: they are not sticky, gloppy or anything like that. If you want to see swatches and read more about formula of these you can find more info on my blog ( ) but to keep it short – if you were looking for a sexy, comfortable gloss to wear – these are wonderful. I have not experienced any “white residue” or dryness when wearing these and they do make your lips that extra bit pouty and pretty. Win for me!

I have two of the Tarte Tarteist Glossy Lip Paints. The formula is soft and creamy, isn’t sticky, and lasts several hours if not eating or drinking. They have a flat doe foot applicator that is angled slightly, for effortless & even application. They are opaque and have a high gloss shine.
The colors Goals and Double Tap are perfection.
The reason for my review, however, is the scent. These products have a scent (or lack thereof) that isn’t pleasant, in my opinion. The only thing I can think of is an oily clay, with the tiniest amount of sweetness. It’s not as noticeable after it has been applied, but if you’re sensitive to scents you may want to test these in store.

Let me just preface this by saying I’m not a huge fan of lip gloss. This lip gloss, however is good. It’s not super sticky and goes on pretty opaque. I have the shade WCW, which is a dark berry shade. I’m not sure if the lighter shades are as opaque. I would recommend if you’re looking for a nice high shine gloss.

I first got one of these mini ones in the Sephora nude lip kit, and it did not wow me. However, long story short, I bought another one of these because of a youtuber raving about them. I looked at the testers and the shade named “Obvi” appealed to me. Obvi is a medium-nude that leans warm. To me, it is not the death warmed over nude, but a nice nude (hence ‘warm’ 😉 ). This shade made my lips look lush, youthful (which my 45 year old lips appreciate!!) and dare I say, but actually sexy! But not in a glittery garish trashy way, just gives a sensual pout about the lips. I do not know if they all do this, I know the mini one in the Sephora kit did not, at least not for me. This also did not settle into lines for me. A very slight VERY SLIGHT sweet scent, not strong, but definitely is there.
Can be a little tricky to apply; I do not really like the wand it came with (kind of a doe foot but kind of a long skinny doe foot..?!?!); I prefer a lip brush or even a q-tip for better, more precise application. I find the wand is a little hard to control. But slightly difficult application aside, I think this is worth the slight difficulty in applying these. Definitely not something you can slap on in a hurry without a mirror. But again, for me, I think the results are worth it. These are very comfortable to wear, soft-feeling and just make the lips look great. Youthful and soft and lush but not trashy or trying too hard, if that makes sense. Not sticky or tacky, but possibly can get a little goopy if you apply heavily. These have about the consistency of the Lorac Alter Ego lipglosses, so if you are familiar with the Lorac Altar Ego glosses, that gives you an idea of how these look and feel.
Does not turn funny colors as the day goes on. Good pigmentation.
Pleased with purchase. I may try some other shades. But I definitely like this shade ‘Obvi’ enough to possibly consider other shades, and I definitely love how it makes my lips look and feel, and for that alone I would very likely consider buying other shades, or at the very least, I would definitely repurchase this shade again.
