This color is very bright, don’t go buying it if you don’t want a very loud color. I have olive skin and this product looked TERRIBLE on me. It’s way too bright and it’s lighter than the picture. It makes me look like a clown. The matte finish is the only good feature of this product. I highly recommend people with olive skin to very dark skin not to buy this, it will not turn out how you want it to look.

Another very flattering shade, doesn’t move, slightly drying but no worse than most other liquid lipsticks. I have the original packaging on this shade but it’s dried up by now, I kept it for nostalgia because it’s so cute!

The velvetines are my new favorite thing! I have this, Cashmere, Riley, & Pink Velvet. I’ve got 4 more on order. They are amazing just don’t budge. This is a fun neon coralline pink sort of unique shade but I think I’ve seen it before. Very bold. Awesome summer shade kind of like MAC’s Viva Glam Nicki Minaj 1. I’m obsessed w LC products not so much w doe Deere LC scandal ohh does anyone still remember it or LC?? Fantastische!! #winning #newfavoritething

i really like this matte lip stain. its VERY pigmented btw, not for the shy 😉 the applicator makes it very difficult to get a precise line around the lips so i highly recommend a lip liner. even then, i had to use a lip brush to get rightttt to the edges. suedeberry is a coral lip color (well on my pigmented lips at least). i’m not sure i would buy this color again (only because i have many similar colors already) but i AM going to buy the red velvet next time.
this color would be wonderful for summer nights. its so bright i am not sure how people can pull this off during the day time unless its used with a very light hand and sheered out. dries to a wonderfully matte finish and it does NOT feel drying at all! very comfortable to wear and stayed put through the night until i ate dinner. then the middle portion wore off and i was left with a “ring” around my outer lips. not sexy but easily fixable with another application.
also, the KEY to these velvetines is PREP! i did a lip scrub about 30 minutes before, then applied aquaphor to soften the lips. then just before i applied the stain i wiped the aquaphor off. lips were like a baby’s butt. the velvetine went on smooth as butter and no flaky chunks trying to come off when it dried. PREP your lips people! 🙂
2 stars off because the tube is sooo small and its quite pricey: $17.00 a tube.

I wish I could give this product a positive review, because I liked it a lot, but I have no tolerance for companies that lie. The product itself is nice, a bit staining, but is a pretty bright red-orange liquid lipstick that dries down to a matte finish. It’s long lasting and nice, but a bit pricey. Outside of that, I soon found out this company has zero ethics and zero concern for its customers’ beliefs or values when it comes to animals. These products aren’t cruelty free or vegan, but are being called such!
Lime Crime presents itself as a vegan and animal-friendly company that makes trendy colors – unlike some of the other more crunchy granola, vegan animal-friendly companies out there. I love, love, love bright colored makeup and thought I found a company that made products that met my needs perfectly. What I found out is that this company just sees veganism as a trendy buzzword to throw on their labels. I am pretty serious about my veganism and I don’t expect most makeup brands to accommodate my choices, but if you call yourself a vegan/cruelty-free company you should actually be one. I think that’s only fair.
Now, I must acknowledge that I didn’t read the ingredients list for this when I bought this through Urban Outfitters – I didn’t think it was necessary. I saw this product being listed as completely cruelty-free and vegan in UO’s listing and on a lot of beauty blogs I read. I however ended up on Lime Crime’s website to check out a new color they are coming out with and saw that these contain petrolatum. For non-vegans, this is what is known as petroleum jelly and is pretty commonplace in some makeup. However, it’s made from filtering crude oil through animal bone char and is in no way shape or form a vegan ingredient or cruelty-free. I was stunned! I ended up emailing them about this and they lied to me and they said their petrolatum is vegan. I don’t stand behind liars when it comes to my personal beliefs.
I ended up doing some more research and found out the owners of this company aren’t vegans, have said their products were vegan when they weren’t, and don’t live a cruelty-free lifestyle. This would be no big deal if they weren’t labeling their things as vegan and making it seem like they’re really into animal welfare, but they are. A lot of their popularity is due to people thinking their products are vegan and they’ll lie outright about it. I should have been more careful with my research and crosschecked all the ingredients, but no one should be lied to about things like this.
