I used to like Lip Smackers when Bonne Bell owned the company before Markwins took over and bought it. Back then, Lip Smacker and Bonne Bell catered to us collectors (we buy thousands of lip balms a year. I used to buy like twenty thousand lip balms). They would create new flavors just for us collectors, and they didn’t need Disney products to carry the brand like nowadays.
In 2015, Markwins bought Lip Smackers and Bonne Bell. I was so worried about if the quality would be good like with Bonne Bell, and I was right that the quality would turn bad. Markwins keeps putting out the same flavors in different packaging for all the seasonal years. They started to make LS and BB products in China when they’ve been made in the USA since the beginning. Us collectors complain all the time to Markwins, but I don’t understand why they don’t cater to us. I don’t understand why they can’t create new flavors for us collectors to buy. Lazy, lazy, lazy!
I wish Markwins were more grateful for the dedicated fans they acquired when they bought LS from the Bells. Seriously, the world doesn’t revolve around Disney branding.
I mean, come on, we spend our entire salary every year buying over thousands of LS products unlike the other lowly customers who only purchase LS products like, maybe once a year.Markwins sticks to about 8-10 flavors and renames them 20x’s. *Eye rolls* With all the money they’re making from the Tsum Tsums WHY aren’t they spending it on R&D for new and AUTHENTIC flavors!?! I like, wrote in on Facebook about my thoughts and someone had the nerve to say to my post that Markwins won’t cater to us because we’re not the general public. We’re a niche brand and a small niche. The person had the nerve to say that since Markwins is a big company, they have no time to target small niches like us. The person also said we’re in the 1% and no company is interested in us because we’re that low.
I’m like, excuse me????!!! Us collectors are so not niches at all. We helped build up the company to how great and powerful it is for today. If it weren’t for us collectors, this company wouldn’t have lasted as long as it did. Now, Markwins is ruining everything that Bonne Bell stood for. Also, that person said since another company took out, the management would manage BB and LS differently than Bonne Bell did because of the switch of companies.
Even if we’re the 1%, we spend 10X as much as the regular consumer, who doesn’t buy every new Party Pack coming out, or collection-most of us do! So our opinion does matter. How hard is it to do a few brand new flavors a year and some really good originals collections? I literally avoid any Disney branded Smacker now. I will buy any but that just to spite it.
Emily Huang is now head of all Bonne Bell/Lip Smackers brands at Markwins. Clearly, she’s sleeping at the wheel because they haven’t done anything with the BB brand and clearly nothing new with Lip Smacker. Bill George is her boss. Both need to leave cosmetics immediately
That is so, so wrong! They should manage LS and BB the same because we’re the companies bread and butter.
I just don’t understand, like, how come they, like, don’t worship us! Us collectors are so, so, sooooooo special! We demand special treatment because we spend soooooo much money on the brand. Who do those stupid people think that they are running Markwins? Seriously, I think I’m going to sue Markwins for endangering us collectors from getting what we want and deserve!
UGH! I’m so over Markwins. Anyone with me?

I absolutely LOOOOVE the Vanilla Frosting one!!!!! It has been my favorite forever. My mom worked at Bonne Bell for years when I was younger. The employees get a huge bag of product at holiday time. I still have these and use Vanilla Frosting almost every single day. I actually need to buy a new one soon. I have an almost empty tube in my bag as we speak. I love the smell most of all. And this gloss is just shimmery enough, without being glittery. I wear it alone alot, and also over other colors. I really love it layered over DrPepper smackers.
There used to be a peach one that had just a hint of the perfect color for me. I believe it was discontinued long ago, but if anyone happens to find it… Let me know!!!!! lol

I have Vanilla Frosting, Mocha Jolt and Cotton Candy Clouds. The vanilla is white and shimmery, the cotton candy is dark pinkish/reddish and sparkly and the mocha one is light brown and shimmery too. Their not obviously sparkly like someone already said. They smell REALLY good and just how they claim. One tube can get you far !

I love this stuff. I revieved it as a gift, not thinking that I’d like it, but they’re great! They shimmer very very slightly, enough to make your lips look larger but not to scream shimmer. The small amount of shimmer is also just enough to exfoliate the lips a little. Smells very sweet and nice (I have vanilla), and I have yet to notice the taste; it must not be to great or too bad. Either way, I’d buy it again.

I have these in Vanilla Frosting and Cotton Candy Clouds and I LOVE the scents..Vanilla Frosting is my favorite..smells just like a vanilla cake w/ white frosting..I do not get them to lick so I really don’t care how they taste…smell awesome though and they’re really cheap if you’re not looking for color, just shine…I will buy these as long as I can find them.

Vanilla frostingis one of the yummiest smells ever. When i was a kid i wore this stuff all the time. My mom still loves it! It’s a little on the thin side for me and wares off almost immediately. The sparkle isn’t overwhelming at all. It’s really a perfect gloss to put over lipstick for those who hate anything that comes even a little close to being thick or sticky.

I got the jumbo lip sparkler in vanilla frosting. all it does is give me a clear shine, which i’m fine with. (thats the reason i BOUGHT it–i have NARS for colored lip gloss). dirt cheap and will last a lifetime. (they’re not kidding when they say JUMBO)

Again, I don’t understand how people can say these taste good. They taste like oil and butter. I have Vanilla Frosting and Cotton Candy Clouds and they smell heavenly. The vanilla is white and shimmery and the cotton candy is dark pink and sparkly. Their not obviously sparkly like someone already said. I love these but I got mine at a very expensive store so mine was $5.00 each 🙁

I recently bought three of these, after having gone without them since junior high. I completely forgot about the excitement these things give me! I purchased Mocha jolt, cotton candy and vanilla frosting. The smells really took me back to those years.
The gloss is a little thin, but not runny. Its dosent weight the lips down. The shimmer may look kinda scary in the tube, but its actually quite subtle on the lips. Its dosent scream “I’M WEARING FROSTY LIPGLOSS!!!”.
They’re inexpensive(yet higher in quality), the packaging is adorable (but if you close the lid too tightly it may crack then leak),theyre mosturizing, the smells are wonderful, and they look great on anyone.
Oh and your hair wont stick to it that easily on a windy day. Thats always a plus.
