Misbehave is a sheer, red lip gloss from NARS. It contains gold shimmer and this shimmer is prominent on the lips. However, it is microglitter and doesn’t make the gloss feel rough or look chunky on the lips. The colour is a true red, but remains sheer, making it easy to wear and dress down. However, it can look very nice and polished for professional looks or evening looks where one wishes to play up the eyes. I believe that it would be a flattering colour on all skin tones, and good for those who are not confident about wearing red lip gloss. It is a good starter red but certainly not a show-stopper. It does not have a strong smell or taste. It is not an overly sticky or tacky gloss either, applying smoothly and easily. I like the colour and will finish the tube, but I prefer red lipstick to lipgloss and would not repurchase.

more orangey than Chanel Spark – which i like much much better.

I absolutely love Nars lipgloss in Dolce Vita and Wonder and so I bought this shade thinking it would be good too.
Misbehave’s colour is great – a true cherry red with gold flecks and a bit of shimmer – It would suit most skin tones for any season.
BUT beware
– this gloss has very little pigment (unlike some other Nars glosses)
– it wears off your lips in about 20 minutes no matter how you apply – becomes rapidly lighter until it just seems to evaporate off your lips.
– apart from the trademark weird smell of all Nars glosses, the formulation of this particular shade is terrible – it just dries and chaps your lips completely, whether you wear it over lip balm or by itself. And it feels yuck on your lips.
Don’t buy it, it’s not at all worth it – find another cherry red with more pigment.
You could try Nars lip lacquer pots. I own the lacquer in Hot Wired which is also quite hydrating, very pigmented and long lasting. They make a colour called Diablo in the lacquer which is available in some markets (not Australia) and seems to be a Apple/ Cherry red – so could be a nice substitute for the Misbehave.

I love Misbehave because it’s one of the few red glosses that does not go fuchsia, pink or terra cotta on me; it actually stays a true, clear red. It contains a bit of gold sparkle, but not so much as to make it inappropriate for work. It’s a great gloss to try if you’re easing into red, too! Definitely one of my favorites from NARS!
For reference: NW5-10; NARS Siberia.

When I originally bought this, I loved it. But I didn’t notice the smell in store. This stuff stinks!! Like stale wallpaper or something. I’ll probably toss. Icky!

The most wonderful shade ever. I own about 7 Nars lip glosses and this is the color that I continue to go to after a year. Its a truly a beautiful color on all skin tones and is fitting for any season.

I always find it interesting how certain colors make people feel certain ways…. Alot of people seem to feel its a sort of “special occasion” or “nightime” gloss but as I woman of color, I find that alot of what is sometimes listed as a “great everyday color” or “fabulous neutral” doesnt work for me as such.
I actually wear this gloss with a very natural eye and black mascara and NARS blush in Cactus Flower for an everyday look that is polished and still gives me a vibrant edge that compliments my very warm complexion; NC44/45.
It is a beutiful color on it’s own; glossy, a little shimmery with that gold fleck that I find appropriate for day with my coloring because they are pigmented. Sometimes I pair NARS Mindgame lipstick under it for day and for evening I vamp it up by lining and filling in my entire lip with a red Sephora lip pencil. Don’t shy away from it because of the color in the tube!
It IS a bit $$ and thats my only real gripe. I d find them very mosturizing though, and unlike most lipglosses they do not chap my lips.

I would buy this gloss in a heartbeat, I tried this on at Sephora and it was love at first sight.

I got this as a gift after saying to my best friend that I’d love a cherry gloss (and bought myself Chanel Myriade glossimer). I can’t say how fabulous this is. I am going to put my glossimer up for swap because this is so much better, glossy, shimmery and sophisticated. NARS does their microglitter in a chic way, I found that after receiving this, when I used my glossimer I felt like a teen wearing glitter gloss or something. The shimmer in NARS is micro red glitter and micro gold and is just wonderful – makes my lips look lush. I’m so glad I got this…that will teach me for straying from NARS in the first place!

Misbehave is my first Nars gloss, so I don’t know how it compares to others in this line. It’s a very pretty sheer cherry red with gold sparkle. It looked like a neutral red swatched on my hand (damn that Sephora lighting!) but when I got it home, it had more pink tones than I expected. It’s still pretty, but a little brighter than I wanted on my PPP complexion. It doesn’t last as long as a stickier gloss (like Lipglass, for example) but it doesn’t fade quickly either. All in all, I don’t regret buying it, but I won’t repurchase.
