I have just one of these, in Espresso Pop, picked up at Sephora when it was a Weekly Wow deal, for $9, which makes it a hell of a lot better deal than the standard $19 or so it normally costs.
The packaging is cute, with (in this case) a cap with a blue wavy print on it.
The gloss itself looks really dark in the tube, a deep reddish brown, or maybe a warmer berry brown. The contents are slightly deceptive, however. Swatched on my hand and it’s a red-brown color, kind of medium-sheer opacity.
The doe-foot applicator it comes with is nice, and applies with a comfy firm squish (no hard edges, and there’s enough pad for it to feel somewhat luxurious and plush). There’s no scent or flavor here, and on my light skin and pale lips it looks pretty natural. If I build it up more it gets a bit into vampy territory, but not quite, I prefer to not apply it too heavily for fear it might look goopy and like it would run into lip lines. A moderate application and I get a nice amount of color that reminds me of a sheer wash of Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, but a touch warmer (if memory serves right, as I’m in between tubes of it right now), and glossier.
The formula, like I said, is glossy, but it’s not sticky. It’s nice and comfortably slick and feels soothing to me.
Staying power isn’t great, as it’s a true gloss, but it does wear down nicely to the point where it feels like it’s evolved into a nice balm.
This will end up being a nice little friend to tote around in my purse or pocket, as it’s a quick way to dress the lips in a bit of color and keep them feeling soothed, all without worrying about a cap popping off and making a mess of bags or clothing.
I’d give it five lippies all around, but am taking one off for the $19 price tag. It’s a tiny bit steep for a semi-sheer gloss.

Yes! I like this collaboration. I just tested 08 Tenderheart + 16 Watermelon Pop ???? and I really love this splash lip gloss. A brilliant hydration for the lips ????

I picked up the Clinique x Marimekko Pop Splash Lip Glass in Espresso Pop which is a dark mauvish brown color. Of course once it applied the color is less dark and opaque since it’s a gloss. The formula is wonderful because it is non-sticky and doesn’t have much of a taste to it. It does transfer because it is a lip gloss, and it fades quite evenly and afterwards leaves lips feeling moisturized. I like to layer this over some of my matte dark lipsticks on days when my lips are feeling overly dry and can’t quite handle a matte lipstick very well. This works great for that or just adding a pop of shine and color. My more detailed review and swatches can be seen here: I
