I feel like I’m reviewing a different product to everyone else.. I have the Body Shop Matte Liquid Lip in Nairobi 034. I love the colour, its just a slightly more intense colour of my actual lips so it’s really appropriate for every day wear, and it’s properly matte. The other colours also look beautiful. It goes on really soft and moisturizing, which made me doubt whether it would stay on. It takes about 45 minutes to eventually dry like a more typical liquid lip, after which it stays for a few hours. It was a lot less clumpy than Nyx Lip Lingerie, and not as drying as Kylie Lips, but because it only stays for a few hours I’m docking a point.

I have this (Matte Lip liquid) in Paris 022.
It is a good pink color and smells really good.
But it does not stay on at all.
Totally disappears from my lips after 1 hour and have to reapply again.
Even though i like the color so much I will not repurchase again.

I have this in 01. It has a slight peachy-pink tint in the tube, but goes on basically clear. This is a very thin gloss that looks great for about five minutes before it completely disappears. No staying power. That’s too bad because it has a lot of nice things going for it as a basic gloss or a top coat for lipstick: no odor, no taste, nice doe foot applicator, no sparkle, nice glossy shine, not sticky. It just does not last. One other big negative is the wand/tube design. It has a sort of soft “click and you know it’s closed” on the last twist, which is nice in that it prevents spills. But, it is impossible to get open if your hands aren’t squeaky clean. I usually want to apply gloss at the end of my makeup application and my hands have face cream or sunscreen on them and I cannot untwist the cap. Very frustrating. I’ll stick with the Clinique superbalm for now.

I dont like it, but I dont like glosses.. got it as a gift, I do think it’s very high quality.. I have #10..
I wear it when my lips get too dry!, veery mosturizing for me.
But I dont like glosses.. they are sticky, and this, is thick in consistency, compared to some Mary kay I had once… those I ALMOST liked

I pair #10 with a moisturizing lip balm and boy-oh-boy does it look pretty! It doesn’t last all day or anything, but while it’s there, it gets the job done. I’ll look into trying other shades because I’m content with this product.

I am also in the minority, but this lip gloss is one that I will buy again. The reason: My hubby likes it. It is the only gloss that will still get me kissed. He says it isn’t sticky, doesn’t transfer to him, and feels good. So, reason enough to repurchase!

***** Warning: This Lip Gloss is now on sale under the name “Love Gloss For Lips” *****
I have this in two shades: no.11 Rasberry pink (berry red colour in fact, one of the non-shimmery Love Gloss shades) and no.15 Dusky Lavender (a clear rich in shimmer mauve-ish colour). no.11 is perfect for all colours of skins while no.15 is good only for fair skins since the mauve undertones make warmer complections appear…ill.
Pros:
1) Very shiny
2) Great full coverage colours
3) Nice lasting power (it won’t last you through a meal but lasts through workhours, drinks etc)
4) It costs 9.5Euro so i don’t mind reapplying when needed 😀
5) If you had issues with the old packaging(it used to leak under the cap), you don’t have to worry any more, it won’t happen with the new packaging. You don’t know how to tell if you have the new packaging? New one has the name Love Gloss on it and also some silver hearts below the cap.
Cons:
1) Truly disgusting artificial overwhelming scent and taste
2) Cheapo packaging
3) Very sticky
4) They don’t dry lips but they don’t hydrate either. I always use them over my Korres Lip Butter.
Overall:
These are not my HG glosses but they are ok for everyday use. However, i will repurchase because i’m in love with the colours and i also intend to get no.18 Tropical Pink(a lovely shimmery coral shade) aswell !

I have the shade 11, it’s like a raspberry red, I like the color, but the texture is too running and sticky. It appears pretty transparent and I have to reapply it quite often becuz it sticks to everything. Other than that, i get a lot of comments when I wear it. It’s my extra lip gloss i carry around when I run out or cant find my other lip gloss. I wouldn’t repurchase, i didn’t even buy the one i have it was a gift.

I know I’m in the minority, but I really like this lip gloss. I have it in 04 – a seashell pink brown creme. And I’ve repurchased it twice- super rare for me! Its very smooth, not sticky in the least, leaves a nice stain behind when the gloss wears off and the scent goes away pretty fast. But it is true what others have said: there is way too much synthetic tropical/fruity fragrance. Barring that, this would be a 5 star in my book.

I got this in #04 blush pink. It’s actually not THAT bad of a lipgloss. It does have a tropical fruit smell, but I don’t find it revolting. The colour is very pretty, a natural brownish-pink colour, which makes my lips looking more healthy. It’s not sticky at all, and perhaps that makes this gloss doesn’t stay that long. Well, but I don’t mind reapplying it!
