I have this in 20 berry brown. First off the color looks like a nude pink. The color on is pretty much a light sheer. I would use it over a color or for when I just want a little shine. It lives up to its hydro boost claim as it’s very moisturizing. But that’s where my positives end. The packaging is a love hate issue for me. It has a small opening so it scraps off product but it’s hard to put the wand back in without a steady hand. Definitely can’t put on quickly in the car without feeling like you’ll break it. It also only lasts a minute and then…poof its gone.

This gloss is my HG lip product after only a few days. I have rose, coral, raspberry and mulberry. My lips are EXTREMELY dry and can’t handle anything but pure buttery moisture or they will shrivel beyond recognition. This product DOES something! Not only are the colors gorgeous, the formula thick, glossy/dewey, and fairly long lasting, but MY LIPS FEEL AMAZING. I even notice how great my lips feel when I haven’t been wearing it. They just feel plumper and moistured. TWO shades are MLBB. VIVA these lipglosses!

More like a hydrating lip treatment. I never repurchase lip gloss/lipstick. I’m always searching for the perfect nude. I have purchased this in True Nude and Ballet Pink. True Nude has a hint of color but makes your lips look full and moisturized. Ballet Pink is pretty but more clear on me. I use these instead of balms, primer or chapstick. No dryness, peeling or flaking. I hope they never stop making it.

LOVE. I’m not usually a lip gloss girl but this is great. Not too sticky and no scent or flavour! That’s hard to find. I’m not sure why people are complaining about the wand. Mine’s perfect, no issues getting it into the tube. Maybe there’s been a re-design? Also, I prefer a bigger applicator / doefoot on glosses – I don’t like feeling like I’m using a skinny little Q-tip… Only con is this is very expensive because I have to order it from Ulta (Neutrogena cosmetics aren’t available in Canada – why???), and the shipping fees are crazy.

I have this in Radiant Raspberry. It’s technically sheer, and I have pigmented lips, but this shows up for sure. From what I gather, the deeper shades seem to have better color payoff, so keep that in mind when you’re in an icy Rite Aid at 10pm on a random Friday looking for a cheap thrill because that seems more fun than being around people *shudder.*
The texture is…I want to say it’s sticky, but it’s not really. It’s a little heavy rather. It has a certain heft on your lips, yet sinks in and really does plump and moisturize. It wears for a while too, and as it does it can feel sort of tacky, which doesn’t bother me but does make me feel compelled to reapply. It’s like, instinctually I think once this feeling occurs it means my lip product needs maintenance, but this wears realllllyy well. This particular shade goes on bright but “fades” quickly, meaning it just sinks in. There is still color, and this 5-min-post-applying color will last at least 2-3 hours for me. When it fades completely, it does so fairly gracefully, but can leave a minimal lip-ring (probably not an issue with the lighter shades).
It’s more dewy than shiny, which I LOVE. My lips are in undeniably better shape after I wear it & the plumping action isn’t excessive (or tingly) but it’s definitely a benefit. It’s not really a gloss where you can smush your lips around to readjust it. I got it for about $9. I would definitely recommend this, and I generally seriously dislike drugstore glosses. I would rebuy this in a different shade.
Tube looks like old Clinique gloss tubes. You will read these reviews and wonder “wtf do they mean when they talk about the applicator being wack?” but I am here to tell you: the applicator is wack. It’s just really hard to get in and out of the tube, which is dangerous when you’re dealing with cosmetics.
ADDENDUM: I picked this up in “Ballet Pink” as well because I have a makeup addiction, but that’s neither here nor there. I wanted to add that since my original review was for a bright/deep shade, and lighter shades of lipgloss have historically been a-holes in my personal makeup experience, I can now fully recommend this line. Ballet Pink is very sheer but lightens up my pigmented lips and adds a lovely milkiness that I’ve been looking for forEVER and have only just found with this gloss. Not only that, it does it with lovely, even application and refuses to highlight lines and flakes. The rest of my review holds, too. Moisturizing, plumping, decent wear time. The tube/applicator scenario is still idiotic.

No lie, this is one of the best lip products I’ve ever used. I think of it as an extension of my skincare/lip treatment arsenal, NOT as a lip color. I bought the shade Soft Blush (10). It gives me that MLBB look, and it always looks “just right” even if I’m not wearing any other makeup…it’s dewy, not necessarily “shiny”. I use it as a lip treatment when I’m at work, because extra long shifts + ultra-dry environment = severely chapped lips. (Plus, the MLBB look is a nice bonus that makes me look more put together.) This gloss is full of hyaluronic acid, which binds water to itself and thereby keeps your skin/lips from drying out. It works fine if applied straight to dry lips, but I find that it works even better if I get my lips just *slightly* damp first. Either way, it stays put for hours, and when it finally comes off, my lips are smooth and flake-free underneath! If I wipe my lips with a towel, the flakes just slide right off. My lips actually look a bit plumper with this gloss, and that “full” look lasts for awhile after it’s gone…however, there is nothing in this product that specifically works to plump up your lips. The action of hyaluronic acid binding to water just makes things look more plump. Overall, the ingredients are pretty mild, and I haven’t had any issues with my eczema from using this, so that’s a bonus. Also, it doesn’t have a taste or smell, so I can eat/drink normally while wearing this lip gloss and it isn’t totally gross. For the $8 or so that I paid for this, I couldn’t be happier with it!

I just love the way this feels on my lips. I’m not a huge fan of sticky lip glosses. I can’t stand when my hair blows and sticks to my lips. Ugh! Neutrogena hydro boost lip shine is not sticky in the least. I first purchased this in soft blush. Which is pretty much a clear color on the lips. It would be great over a lip color. I have since purchased True Nude and Pink Sorbet. They are also very sheer. The only thing bad I can say about this product is the wand is a tad too big so it can be a little difficult to pull out. But this still won’t stop me from repurchasing.

I recently picked up one of these Lip Shines and I have been very impressed with the formula. I will probably pick up more! To me, this product is the perfect hybrid of a lip gloss and balm. It’s shiny, slightly sticky, but also feels moisturizing and nourishing on the lips. The wear time is quite nice for a gloss. I can apply this before my 4 hour shifts at my part-time job and I will still have some product left on my lips by the time I leave. The color is usually faded quite a bit by then but it fades evenly. My lips still feel moisturized and I’m left with a bit of shine.
I picked up the shade Flushed Coral (#30). It’s a gorgeous bright pink coral shade. While I wouldn’t call this gloss pigmented, it isn’t sheer either. The color is definitely brighter than I anticipated. The base of the gloss is kind of “milky” or opaque so if you have pigmented lips, you might want to avoid some of the lighter colors. I haven’t tried the lighter colors, but if they are anything like Flushed Coral, they might too light for your lips. I can barely get away Flushed Coral on my pigmented lips. If I pick up more, I will stick to the mid-tone shades or the darker colors.
The packaging is nice but I have a love/hate relationship with the applicator. It’s kind of like a large tear drop shaped sponge. It seems to have a small dip in the center to hold product. It’s nice because I can apply gloss to lips in one go without having to dip the applicator back into the tube. The only problem is that the applicator is almost too big for the opening of the tube and fitting it back in can be a challenge. Other than that, the packaging is sturdy and and secure and I have no other issues with it.
Overall, I would recommend this product to others. If you like comfortable, low-maintenance, glossy lip products, you should definitely give these a go. I will definitely be buying more!

I really thought this was going fo be a 1-lippie review, based on the first tube/shade I purchased…I’m glad I gave this product a second chance. I initially purchased the shade ‘Radiant Rose’ and it was terrible! Gloopy-thick, overly opaque, sticky, and just not a flattering shade on my skin tone. However, after seeing Dr. Dray review the ‘Soft Blush’ color on youtube, I decided to give it another go. Soft Blush is like a total 180 from the first one I tried…it’s thick but not gloopy; never sticky; and it really seems to hydrate my lips. Plus, it makes my lips look noticeably plumper, and it’s not super shiny (just more dewy than anything else). It stays put for a couple of hours while eating, drinking, and talking. As an added bonus, it’s scent-free and flavor-free, so it doesn’t interfere with the taste of things. I’ve basically started using this “gloss” (if you can really call it that) in place of Aquaphor on my lips when I want to look a bit nicer. The texture is like a mixture of gloss + an ointment of some kind, so I think of it more like a “treatment” that looks nice rather than a “lip gloss”. As a side note, the applicator wand is annoyingly wide, and it does take a few dips into the tube to get enough product onto my lips. Minor issues aside, I’ve been carrying this product around everywhere I go!

I received a sample of this in the Walmart Beauty box and I think this is the first product I received from them that I actually went to purchase in-store. I believe the sample was Radiant Rose, but I bought the color Flushed Coral #30. I find this gloss very moisturizing and it lasts much longer than others I’ve tried. It is a bit tacky, but I don’t mind that so much. The color is nice and sheer, which is what I prefer. Others have complained of the applicator and, yes, it is too big for the opening so it takes a bit of force to remove/replace it. However, because it is shaped like an oval with a divot in the center, this allows more gloss to be picked up in the middle and you don’t have to re-dip to get more. Great product, especially for the price! I’ll definitely be checking out the other colors.
