   8/22/19: I edited the original rating of 5 to a 2 just after a few weeks because of the packaging which is like a small toothpaste tube but made out of a clear plastic “bag” material. The plastic bag/tube started to leak from the bottom seam after a day in my purse. It was kept in a pocket in the purse for small items, and the purse was not full or tossed around or anything. The hole is in the ribbed “seam” at the bottom of the tube, so I have been keeping it propped on its lid upside down to keep from losing product and going all over the outside of the tube as well as everywhere else. But it is easy to knock over and the whole situation is really unacceptable. Even though I absolutely adore the product, I’m going to return it because the packaging is really unfortunate. There are drugstore lip glosses for $6 that come in hard plastic or glass tube containers, not these soft plastic bag materials that fall apart, so couldn’t KA use the better packaging? This costs $27. I wonder if KA uses the toothpaste tube packaging because MUAs can squeeze out product (just like from a toothpaste tube, folks, lol) to use for different clients? I don’t know, but it doesn’t work for me if the plastic tube springs a leak/hole.

   I would buy this again if it came in different, sturdier packaging.

   I also would edit the “cons” section of my original review by saying that the way the product picks up pigment from lipstick it is layered over is starting to bother me a lot. If I repurchase, I will probably use a separate brush to pick up product off the doe-foot applicator to apply instead of using the doe-foot applicator to apply directly onto my lips.

   Original review:
   I love the Aucoin Glass Lip Glow in shade Crystal Clear for these reasons:
   1. Makes my lips look glossy, full and smooth
   2. Transforms my mauve-y nude lipsticks into fabulous lacquer pinks
   3. Flavor is not overbearing and is delicious; note: ABH lip glosses made me gag
   4. Feels nourishing and “substantive,” but not sticky
   5. Looks beautiful over bare lips or over lipsticks

   Cons:
   1. I don’t love the packaging and wish it came in glass or hard plastic tube instead
   2. The clear shade is white in the tube and I notice that the applicator sometimes picks up the lipstick shade used under the gloss; this is to be expected though and I don’t care with this product (although I normally probably would be picky about stuff like that, lol)
