My sister gave this to me because she did not care for the tingling sensation this gives. I absolutely love this gloss and I’m not much a lip gloss person. I would describe this color as a bare nude- not too pink or too beige. My husband says it looks clear as it is the exact color of my lips, with just a little color. I think this is a pretty universally flattering nude color, but definitely is more warm . If you don’t like peppermint or sticky glosses I wouldn’t recommend this for you. If you are looking for a true nude gloss , this is perfect.

Buxom Sandy review
This gloss is my #1 gloss, HG status, love of my life. I’ve bought this shade three times now. I always use it up so fast. I’ll reach for it while sitting on the couch, or applying it while doing my makeup. It has this distinct cooling sensation. I’d compare it to the feeling of Burt’s Bees Chapstick. Unfortunately I’ve read that mentholated products are an irritant to the skin and contributes to aging of the tissue. That still doesn’t stop me from being completely addicted to the feeling of this gloss on my lips. It’s a thicker gloss that has great lasting power even after eating or drinking. It’s somewhat sticky, but not the type of sticky that makes it form strings when pressing lips together and opening the mouth. It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips, it’s very comfortable to wear. It has a very smooth, decadent feel on the lips. The doe foot applicator picks up the perfect amount of product and is easy to apply without needing a mirror. I just adore the pale, pinky nude, semi sheer color it imparts. There is a slight, micro shimmer that makes the lips appear fuller. Another wonderful benefit of the gloss is that it is super moisturizing. I suffer from chronic dry, chapped lips year round and this stuff keeps them smooth with regular use. Even if I have flaky rough patches on the lips, this applies smoothly over the top and doesn’t settle into the lines or accentuate the flakes. Just smooths everything out and looks beautiful. It looks great alone. I also wear it over MAC creme d’nude lipstick for a beautiful nude lip. I have fair, cool skin, and very light blonde hair and it looks great with my coloring. I feel that this shade would look good on most skin tones/colorings. I will continue to buy this for as long as they make it. I love you, Sandy. 🙂

I absolutely worship this lip gloss, it is a constant staple in my purse and makeup bag! I bought it at Sephora for $19 on a recommendation from an employee who said I might like the tingly feeling it leaves. I was initially attracted to the color, which is a nude pink shade that is natural but also doesn’t make me look like a corpse. In addition to having a gorgeous color and gloss, it smells amazing (sort of like cinnamon and vanilla) and the tingle is divine. As someone who likes lip plumping glosses that don’t burn, this fit the bill exactly. It can be a bit sticky so I don’t wear it on overly windy days but all in all I would definitely recommend it. I can’t wait to try other shades, but I doubt they will compare to this one!

I just repurchased a new Buxom Sandy gloss so i knew it was time to review it. Sandy has been a go to gloss for me for a while along with bunny and kanani. I repurchased kanani a while ago but just finished my sandy recently. It is a great nude color for my nw45 complexion, truly! Doesn’t make me look like a corpse so I am quite pleased. It lasts forever! I already have big lips so I don’t much try to enhance things with plumping properties. This makes my lips feel free and cool. I will continue to repurchase this gloss.

I received a full size of this in a giant Sephora set and am pretty pleased by it. It is a lovely nude colour that doesn’t make me look dead, has a beautiful shine to it but fades nicely through its approximately 5 hour wear time, and the mentholated feel to it is very pleasant when one lives in a hot, dry climate like mine. It is quite sticky and I was careful not to get hair stuck in it, despite many attempts by my cat. If you are a compulsive lip-presser like I am, make sure to spread it well enough or apply it thinly to make sure it doesn’t leave slightly milky lines on your lips.
I could not tell if it actually plumped my lips because gloss always makes them look fuller, but I thoroughly enjoyed the York peppermint patty sensation that lasts about an hour.

I have never really liked nude colors for my lips but surprisingly I liked this gloss. It goes on very shiny making my lips appear fuller and the color looks good with my coloring. It is quite sticky and tingles on application, so if you are bothered by these things do not buy, if not, it is a nice lipgloss to wear for any occasion.

Holy cow! This is the prettiest most amazing gloss I have ever used. I have about 30 glosses and this one is at the top. I found this while hearing a youtube beauty guru suggest it. I’ve never really had luck with pinky beige lipglosses as my lips are pretty pigmented so that type of colour tends to make me look like a corpse.
This is the one exception! It is so moisturizing and I am not left with dry pieces of skin on my lips. It is a thick goopy gloss and not a thin runny gloss. Because of the thickness of this gloss it makes it a lot more long lasting than my other glosses. A bit of it still stayed on after I ate.
The color looks great on its own or even paired over a nude type lipstick (Rimmel’s Airy Fairy, Nude Delight). It tingles just enough but after about 30 minutes the tingle fades away. I wouldn’t say it gave me super plump lips but what it did do is bring out my natural lip colour, soften and even out my lips which made them look more attractive. Even after the gloss wore off I noticed my lips still were soft that evening. The only downside was that the price was a bit more than I am use d to spending ($23CAD).
I will definetly repurchase this colour and will look at other colours in this brand, too!

Beautiful nude colour. Love wearing this on its own.

This color is definitely one of my HGs. It’s a great neutral. Very close to my natural lip color, but better. I got it as part of a holiday gift set, and I will definitely repurchase this color when it runs out. Love it.

I used to not like this lip gloss, actually I used to hate it. I got it awhile ago put it in a drawer and never used it. The formula was sticky and the color didn’t apply evenly. I tried it again and its not so bad. Its not as sticky as i remember it. It is a plumping lip gloss so it tingles on your lips. It has a little bit of a bitter taste that lingers if it gets on your tongue. I think it smells kinda funky too. But the gloss definitely growing on me.
