I have Sugarcoated Kiss (light milky pink) and Sweet Stash (bright orange-red). I want to be thorough (hence the hella long review) since I think these are misunderstood! Also the 2 shades are very different and wear much differently.
These are a godsend for me but you do have to work with them. If you applied correctly you’ll get smooth, dewy, plump tinted lips. They DO apply with some patchiness and they DO have a tingle. I start with the inner part of my lips and work the color in with my finger until every nook and cranny is saturated with color. Eventually it all smooths out sinks into any lines to create that smooth dewy glowy look. They are def sheer but can be built up for sure. The texture is slick but not oily, there’s no scent I can detect, and the “tingle” is more of a weird cooling feeling and I don’t think it technically stains your lips but it does redden them.
Speaking of that, Sugarcoated Kiss is very light and I have pigmented lips, so the reddening factor kind of negates the pretty milky color. It turns my lips a smooth rosy pink on its own (almost like I’m wearing a lip primer) BUT if I layer w/ other products I can achieve lots of pretty looks. The texture really does a lot to smooth hard to work with mattes without dissolving them entirely like a lot of traditional glosses. Layering extends wear time for this one, it does fade much more quickly than the brighter shade.
Sweet Stash is a fun bright orange-red that’s sheer & melds with lips so it’s also super wearable. It has much better staying power and the color stays truer. I love it because it’s a 100% low maintenance way to wear a bright lip. Tbh it looks like your lips are actually that color, that’s how good the texture is once it sinks in. If I layer Sugarcoated Kiss over it, I get a gorg coral shade.
I love these because I have “wrinkly” lips that can’t tolerate most liquid lipsticks or mattes and the Candy Slicks smooth them out in such a flattering way, and are super easy to wear after I do the initial work of applying. I wouldn’t try these if you have sensitive lips (the tingle), need something crazy long lasting though. Or even if you want a traditional gloss, because I wouldn’t even call these shiny, just dewy.

I love this! I got it in Birthday Sprinkles…. I love the application and the color stays on all day… almost like a stain. But it’s not matte (which I love being an older woman) it’s shiny at first but even after the shine dulls the color is still there…. will definitely buy again. Very inexpensive

Impulse buy, the cute tube appealed to me, so did the color I got (Cream Bee).
Unfortunately, it is awful in more ways than one!
* The shade looks great in the tube, a dusty rose very close to what I was looking for and can’t find. On my lips it is way lighter and the color is sheer, barely there. Not much color payoff.
* Application is uneven and requires some work to make it look smooth.
* It is not a gloss, it is not a liquid lipstick. I’m not sure what it is really, I guess it does give lips a glow but it’s very subtle.
* The candy scent is pretty chemical
* It transferred on my teeth!!! I can’t recall the last product that did this, lip stuff has gotten better lately, Well, not this! The product itself seemed to have faded off my lips, and yet when I looked in a mirror, there it was, all over my teeth! How embarrassing…
It does feel nice and silky going on, and the doe foot applicator is nice, the packaging is cute, but the product itself yikes. In the trash it went, after first use. No more NYX makeup for me, nothing has ever worked!
