I have this gloss in Cosmos, which looks fire engine red in the tube but goes on like a winey-red. I also bought LQ lip liner in Wine to go with this gloss and it’s a good match. This is more of a liquid lipstick than a gloss IMO. It has excellent coverage and nice shine and does make my skinny lips look a little fuller, especially with the liner. I’d like to try this gloss in other colors and will do so the next time I’m in Bloomies. One more thing… there is a LOT of product in the tube and it’s a good value.

I got this in Energy(red) along with Red Sinner and an LQ lipstick case as a Valentine’s present last year, much to my surprised pleasure, after my super attentive husband noticed me being fascinated by the LQ reds and constantly visiting the LQ website to look longingly at the Red Sinner,. (Yes, I do know I have an excellent husband.) I was so smitten with Red Sinner that at first I did not pay the kind of attention to Big Bang it deserves.
Shame on me, because Big Bang is a pretty, pretty lip gloss. It should be disclosed that I have very plump lips so have no need for plumping action in a lip gloss, so its lack of dramatic plumping action is not an issue for me. So, while I would personally score this product a five for my purposes, I wanted acknowledge that it’s not going to dramatically plump up lips for those who need such a thing. Though, I do think the shimmer does ever so subtly make one’s lips perhaps look a tad fuller. Really pretty color and a nice amount of shimmer–would look great at night, but at the same time, the shimmer isn’t so over-the-top you’d feel inappropriate wearing it during the day. You can also pair Big Bang Energy with Red Sinner for a WHAM!, I’ve-got-really-red-lips for a dramatic, glamorous night time event.
Nice texture, not too heavy or sticky feeling, yet it lasts a decent amount of time, and when it does fade, it leaves a very nice color. Also, like the packaging with the wand applicator–no grit getting into it, which I detest. By the way, if you’re a woman who’s fascinated by LQ’s red lipsticks, but are kind of scared of red lipstick wearing you, I’d recommend this option–you won’t feel self-conscious wearing this. I’ve always favored lipstick over lip gloss, but I like this lip gloss so much that I’m itching to get more Big Bang in different colors.
PS: While I still really dig this and am keeping the score the same, I am now way more impressed with LQ’s Butterfly Ball in Moment. Both my husband and I noticed BB in Moment made my lips look really plump, is very moisturizing, and is a really flattering shade. So, if you’re looking for the illusion of plumpness, I’d actually suggest Butterfly Ball in Moment over this.

This is currently my favorite brand of lip gloss. It has an amazingly smooth, nonsticky texture which allows it to melt into your face rather than sitting on top like a sheet of vinyl. I own Infinite, Creation, and Cosmos. This gloss does not have a physical plumping action, but makes lips look full by creating the right balance of shimmer and shine. After trying this gloss, wearing anything else feels like a burden.
Infinite: Light pink/gold, sheer enough to wear with my pigmented lips, perfect w/smoky eyes
Creation: The perfect berry/pink, looks like my lips after eating fruit, really sexy but natural enough to wear to work.
Cosmos: Darkish sheer red, not so bright that a fair girl like me feels like a cartoon wearing it
The picture above on the right with all the shades is very true-to-life.
