The Lunch Money SHADE on my fair/light skin (nc20) is a beautiful white gold shade. So, the shade is perfect!
The FORMULA is creamy and feels wet on the skin at first and it sets slightly after a few minutes. For me this formula doesn’t work over powder products at all. It makes my base looking patchy when I apply it as my last step on my cheekbones. There is though a way to make this product work. If you apply it right after your foundation while your base is still dewy and move on with your blush/bronzer. This way though it is way more subtle.
I am not the biggest fan of GLITTER and this has glitter particles in it. Is it chunky glitter? No! But it is definitely there and it is obvious. For me the highlighter in the Lift&Sculpt palette by FlowerBeauty, the Candlelight highlighter by TooFaced, even the Shimmer Strips by Physician’s Formula are examples of glowy but not glittery highlighters.
I wouldn’t personally recommend it unless you like to use exclusively cream products . In that case if you are using cream bronzer/blush/highlighter you won’t experience patchiness with it. For this specific shade if you like soft golden shades and you don’t have issues with glitter…you won’t be disappointed! I personally won’t repurchase it!

Champagne with lots of micro sparkles that end up everywhere. Swatches amazing for Instagram but not great on the skin. Its a wet powdery cream that looks dry and powdery on the skin, and highlights all the dry crepey fine lines you didn’t know you had (I don’t even have dry skin!). Fades quickly. Cheap packaging. The plastic window popped out and had to be glued back on. The nice ColourPop holo logo on the lid wore off within a few weeks. I have very fair NC10 skin and this is too dark for me. Had better luck with Flexitarian

I was already a repeat customer of Colourpop’s when I saw this highlighter reviewed in an article.
I was so excited! And the color was right on trend when it was being reviewed as well, the gold highlight.
So I ordered it and when it arrived, I was sorely disappointed. The product itself was creamy and gritty, both at the same time and did not come out of the pan easily or spread well on my skin.
To be fair, I probably would not have bought this if I knew up front that it was a cream-based rather than powder-based product.

This is a soft champagne color, if you’re worried about looking too yellow this would be a good shade to try. It can be used with a beautyblender to get that soft focused natural look, or if applied with fingers it can get really blinding. I don’t notice much of a glitter, it all blends together to form a really pretty sheen/glow. As it’s sort of a soft mousse it’s applies surprisingly nicely and doesn’t lift your foundation and powder.
Unfortunately this has zero lasting power. I’ll apply then finish the rest of my makeup which only takes 10-15 minutes and then it’s already gone. I have to layer with a liquid highlighter and set with a powder highlighter to give it a fighting chance. I really like this highlighter when I first apply it but unfortunately I won’t repurchase.

This week I tried Colourpop products for the first time, now that they are readily available at my local Ultas in store… I bought 4 single super shock shadows in different finishes, 2 liquid lippies, and this highlighter. I definitely like the brand, and am very happy with the overall quality and price. Lunch Money is really pretty and wearable, and not too intense for my 48 yo self, reminds me a lot of Mary Loumanizer by TheBalm….I’m N25 very neutral, and its very flattering on my skin tone…I will definitely be purchasing more from this brand!

I am fair and warm-toned, and this highlighter works beautifully, whether I use it on bare, moisturized skin for a low-maintenance makeup look or on top of powder when I get more done up. This product is creamy, easy to apply and blend with my fingers, and gives the most gorgeous subtle sheen – I don’t find it sparkly or harsh at all. I even used it on my eyelids! For $8, this product is well worth it.

I really liked the formula and the texture of this product. Easily applies with finger tips and has a really nice consistency. But, it’s really sparkly and I was looking for a shimmer highlight. So if you are looking for something that visibly sparkles in the light, then I think this would be good. Definitely not for me, though.

This is the weirdest textured highlighter I’ve ever used!
I can’t stop touching it, its a soft mousse and when you press it it leaves a dent in the mousse which can then be remoulded by pushing it or smoothing it!
I apply it with my fingers and it goes lovely even on top of powder, but seems more if a cream highlight which would normally look awful on top of powder. This doesn’t, its very blendable and can give a lovely natural finish up to very bold. Its very buildable. Beautiful light champagne color and so easy to work with, in a handy little pot.
I’ve never come across anything like it, but I love it!

For the price, I’m fairly happy with this highlighter’s performance. I typically use Benefit High Beam which is a liquid highlighter. I haven’t been fond of cream- or mousse-to-powder products, but this one is okay. I did notice if I put too much finishing powder on or foundation, this would look kind of powdery, but that can be remedied by some heavy blending with a small brush. You can go really flashy or subtle with this highlighter which makes it a versatile pick for different occasions. I was afraid it would appear too yellow or gold on my NW15, cool-pink skin, but it’s just the right amount of silver and champagne. It came across as a glow and not glittery. I actually reach for this more now than High Beam which I used every day. The lasting power isn’t worse or better than I expected. It lasts about eight hours on me.

I am cool toned and this seemed yellow to me which does not work well for me. I still gave it 5 stars cuz it’s a great product and I love the formula and pigment of their products. I just chose a color that is not as good for me. I liked spoon and hippo for cool tones and will grab those before this one.
