I’ve been wanting a peach highlighter but didn’t want to splurge and spend $26 for the Laura Gellar one and also heard bad things about jeffree star skin frosts and i’m not really sure I want to support his business anyways. Saw this at Ulta a few times, but the first time I already picked up 2 highlighters to try and then I didn’t really want to buy a bunch of stuff. This past Saturday I said why not and just grabbed it in “peach kiss”. It was $9 ($8 after coupon/points) but the pan is very large so the price is definitely justifiable. The pan is a gold plastic and can be kind of hard to open. I used this the past 4 days and determined I am not a fan. The color looks very pretty in the pan, but I feel like once it’s on my skin it looks gold. If I wanted a gold highlight I would buy a gold highlight. Swatched it on my finger/hand and it was kind of a peachy rose gold color. It looked ok Sunday, Monday I buffed it out some with a kabuki so it wasn’t so glittery/shiny for work and it pretty much disappeared. Yesterday and today i applied it more lightly and just to the cheekbones, not going upwards and also on my nose. The formula itself is very chunky. It’s like an eyeshadow. Highlighter should be more soft/thin in order to not add texture to the skin. I unfortunately already have texture on my skin so this does not work. On the tip of my nose it didn’t look like a natural/blended highlight, it looked fuzzy. Maybe if you have perfect skin this would work, but it didn’t for me.I asked my friend today what color she thought my highlight was and she said “yellow-y gold”. Nope. I took it back today. Might try the vivd baked highlighter in peach lights or just get the Laura Gellar one.
