First off, the package is annoying. They have oblong caps that make it pretty difficult to balance and they’re really hard to screw back on when you’re trying not to smear product.
As for application, these do ok for under foundation brightness or a very minimalist makeup routine if you need shine. But they’re actually terrible to try to use as highlighter on top of foundation. It starts removing your foundation like a cleansing lotion.
Thankfully, I don’t think they sell these anymore.

This is pretty poor quality especially when it’s not a cheap item. The product shows up patchy as if you got a shitty fake tan. Also there is no glow that I’ve noticed. Overall not worth buying in my opinion. You could find something that actually works at the same price.

i absolutley love this product i brought the sheer glow in blushing babe and was amazed about how beautiful this looked it did not make me look glittery just a beautiful sheen on my skin i mix it with my foundation it does not break me out which is a good thing also it doesnt make my skin oily. the price was really a bargain because of the amount of product u get. its 2.7 0z for $8 at walmart and you only need to use a little bit of this product goes a long way.

I have this in the shade “in the buff” and bought it to use as a body shimmer. But I’m so bummed, I wish it had more shimmer in it! You can barely see it when applied, just an extremely subtle shine when under the sun. So forget about using this on a night out! I personally wouldn’t use this as a highlighter for my face, because it contains some ingredients my skin does not get along well with.

Ok so what I really want is the balm Mary Loumanizer. But I haven’t had a chance to go get it yet and I’m a little scared of it being a powder. I’m getting old and powders emphasize my fine lines and ever growing pores. So ice tried to find an inexpensive sort of dupe in liquid or stick form. I guess I’m gonna go buy it anyway and just use a light hand. But as far as finding something that will give me about the same effect… Not yet. I may go get Sonia kashuk Illuminati, but it’s $15 at my target and for that I may as well drop another $10 on Mary. But this one is far better than the NYX liquid Illuminator and the highlight side of the NYX wonder stick. It’s got no glitter like the NYX liquid, and isn’t waxy like the wonder stick. Oh and I got an elf powder one but it’s WAY gold. This one is OK. I got the pinkish one, blushing babe. I swatched it in the store to check for glitter and it was glitter free and looked perfect on the back of my hand. Perfect, I thought, problem solved. So when I got home and put it on my face, (cheekbones, forehead, nose, etc,) it disappeared. I was already wearing makeup, but that should not make it disappear because I planned to put it over makeup anyway. So I was bummed. Decided I’d give it another shot, and let me tell you, I finally achieved the glow I wanted, but it took ALOT of the product to do it. So it looked awful. I took out my beauty blender and rubbed some on there and started to blend it where I wanted it. Well that worked. It looks beautiful. But for as much as I had to use to make it glimmer even close to a pearly glow, the swatch was misleading. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try it over a different kind of foundation with a different finish and it’ll work better. I’m nw15 by the way. For a very natural hint of glow it works OK. But for the strobe effect I believe this is TOO SHEER. I’ll add that even as much as I put on, I can’t feel it at all and I didn’t notice any scent. The texture is good, package is OK, and there’s a bunch of it for a decent price. Just not exactly pigmented enough, didn’t do what I thought it would considering my swatch. I’ll stop rambling lol y’all be good.

I really enjoy the “Sheer Glow All The Way” highlighters by Hard Candy, and I have even used a whole tube. I haven’t actually used this as a highlight on its own, I frequently will mix it with foundation, as well as face and body lotion. I haven’t had any issues with mixing this product, and I really enjoy the subtle glow it gives off, especially when used on the body.

**Not for sensitive skin**
If you don’t have sensitive skin, this product is BEAUTIFUL. Gorgeous! It makes your skin look almost wet (in a highlighty not oily way). I had the color “in the buff” and I’ve never found a color I love more. It’s gold/peach/rose gold color without being chunky and glittery. So that’s why I gave it 3/5 even though it broke me out. I also have some other stuff from hard candy and I love it. The tiki bronzer is amazing. Love, love, love.
That being said, I have sensitive skin and I knew there was a chance this might break me out. Usually I will break out in the first half an hour to an hour if a product will bother me but this took me a few days to realize this was what was breaking me out. This didn’t break me out like products that usually bother me do though. I have all these tiny bumps in all the spots that I put it (along my cheek bone and a little up around my brow bone), which I’ve never had happen. Thankfully I didn’t mix this in with my foundation!

I bought this SHEER glow version since their original “glow all the way” was way too shimmery and didn’t have very natural toned colors. Now, having said that, I actually prefer the original over this sheerer version lol. While the “sheer” glow version comes in more natural colors, there’s barely any shimmer. I get that this is supposed to be “sheer” but it’s TOO sheer lol. I can not detect any sort of highlight/shimmer when I use this on my face. I’m pretty light complected so maybe this works better for medium/darker skin tones? It just gives a weird finish that doesn’t seem to dry! I tried using a very light dusting of powder to *set* it but it just ends up looking very blotchy and rough. I bought both colors: Blushing babe and in the buff. Both looked very unnatural and blotchy when applied to the face. I think it has something to do with the gel type texture – but it just doesn’t mix well with my other products and I’ve never had that problem before.
In the end, this also broke me out into small little bumps wherever it was applied on the face. I will try and use this on my body and see if I can get it to work before tossing it out. If I was able to, I would return this. Really do not like this product.

This Hard Candy Sheer Glow in Blushing Babe is an unexpected little gem! I bought this today, but I wish I had gotten it a long time ago! This is a sheer shimmer golden-champagne color. It is very pigmemted and the consistency is perfect. The shimmer can be a bit intense, so use sparingly, but the shimmer is very micro, not glittery AT ALL! A little dab will do ya! Many say that this is a dupe for Benefit High Beam. It is very close. I put an eraser sized dab on the back of my hand, rub it out, and apply it on the top of my cheekbones in the “C” shape and on my brow bones. It is very lovely and eye catching! I have mixed this with my Hard Candy Glow All The Way in Doll Face, and it has made a very gorgeous and unique color as well! I might try adding a bit to my primer. I plan on buying this in In The Buff as well. This is definitely worth giving a try!

I am new to the world of highlighters and illuminators so I was researching nice liquid primers and came upon this line from Hard Candy. I was very scared of the pale pearlesence of Doll Face (I am an NW45, so I didn’t want to walk around looking like an ashy discoball) so I figured I might buy Glamazon Bronze.
I went to Wally’s today and I saw NEW Sheer Glow all the way. My prayers had been answered! So I snagged Blushing Babe which is a sheer shimmering cream tinged with pink and coral. It blends out into a sheer, barely there iridescence. And it doesn’t make me look ashy at all, which I am forever thankful for.
I considered picking up In The Buff but it looked much peachier then Blushing Babe and I’m a huge fan of pink so I just couldn’t resist Blushing Babe. I wasn’t worried about not liking it because of the cheap price tag and thankfully Blushing Babe didn’t disappoint.
The tube is the pale beige pink of a ballet slipper and the size for the price is huge (79.84ml for $8CDN!!). This tube is going to last me a long long time, especially because I’m planning on using it on my face only! (For my body I’d opt for a stronger, more shimmery illuminator; but I’d still stick with the Hard Candy range. The silkiness and blendability would be perfect for legs and shoulders).
Blushing Babe is pigmented enough to illuminate my skin in a really subtle and natural way. The glow is soft but definitely there.
I love the texture on my skin. It feels very moisturizing and blends in incredibly easy. The illuminator feels so silky and soft on my skin. The shimmer is fine enough to reflect the light in a beautiful way but the shimmer isn’t obvious at all, thanks to the sheer aspect of it.
I really like this illuminator and can’t wait to see how its going to look when I mix it up with my liquid foundation. I love my matte foundations but I find they make my complexion look so flat and I’m sure this will help me a lot!
I will repurchase this as long as Hard Candy makes it! I am also looking forward to perhaps dabbling a little in the bronzier Glow All the Way varieties as well.
