At the point I bought this, I was about NC20. I really wanted to try a highlighter from Colourpop, and this seemed to be the one that was the most finely milled out of all of them. All of the people reviewing this gave it 5* and said it was finely milled. Well… I’m not sure what they’re usually wearing, because I definitely wouldn’t call this finely milled. I guess you might like this if you like The Balm’s Mary Lou-Manizer, but I wouldn’t recommend this highlighter if you’re looking for something that gives a sheen – this definitely is more of a shimmer. It doesn’t look bad swatched on my arm, but on my face, the shimmer is too much for my taste. The color of this is champagne with a silver reflect.
I hope you can see from my picture that it’s not a super finely milled highlight from how it looks after being used for some time. The surface is kinda gritty because this doesn’t really have much of a base color – just a lot of small shimmer. I DO believe some people will like things like this, but I’m not a fan. If there’s shimmer in the highlighter, I also like there to be at least some very fine pearl base – when the size of the shimmer increases gradually, the highlighter looks more natural. Maybe I’ll use this for my body or something. What I probably find the weirdest is that Temptalia reviewed this, and it looked nice on her :/
