I love this highlight! I have quite fair skin (leaning cool). This highlighter is *almost* too dark. If I was even a teensy bit paler, this highlighter would not work. I cannot use it on my nose tip or Cupid’s bow because it just shows up a little too much in this spots. However, as a cheekbone highlight, it’s beautiful. It’s a pinky gold, definitely warm toned. I can also use it on the inner corner of my eye for some reflect there. It is a pretty, metallic sheen and I do not find it glittery at all.

I find Jouer’s highlight formula to be pretty nice, so I am not sure if the reviewer before me got an old formula or a bad batch or something. It is very silky-smooth, and applies to a gorgeous, reflective, almost-metallic sheen. I don’t find Rose Gold to be quite as metallic as Rose Quartz from the same brand, but it is still a much more blinding highlight than what a lot of other brands offer. The packaging is very nice, and you get a good amount of product for the price. I am quite pale, but I can pull this one off pretty easily as long as I am careful when I apply it; if you go in with too heavy of a hand it is very metallic/blinding, so it takes a little finesse to use for everyday. I would definitely repurchase this if I needed to, because it is somewhat unique and very pretty.

This review is for the Jouer rose gold powder highlighter. The color of this highlighter is a gorgeous peachy pink, with a golden sheen. After seeing swatches online and reading raving reviews about Citrine, its sister, I decided to pick it up. The package is nice, sturdy and contains a mirror. However, the product inside does not live up to its claims. It’s supposed to be a “creamy, powder formula” that is “long-wearing, highly pigmented” and gives a “lit-from-within glow.” But when you touch it, it immediately feels very dry and gritty. I also spotted little flecks/chunks of glitter … Luckily it’s not full of glitter, but visible specks of glitter on my face is just not my cup of tea, even if there are ten instead of 100. I want the subtle ‘glow from within’! When applying the highlighter, I definitely have to work it into the skin with a brush, in an attempt to minimize/erase the glitter. The result is so-so: a nice peachy color with a golden sheen, but the glitter just puts me off.. Disappointing, because nowadays in the drugstore there are tons of very creamy, velvety highlighters that are so easy to work with. So not worth the price.
