The packaging is okay over all, shaped like a pen so its very easy to carry around in a purse. The one problem I faced initially was the twist mechanism that can give you too much of the product at once. The concealer (I used it in shade 3-peach) itself is light and flowy, and when applied to my under eye and cheekbone area gives me a nice healthy look. It’s coverage is light to medium depending on what exactly you’re trying to conceal, definitely not full though, and it won’t cover very dark circles or under eye bags. To cover blemishes and dark spots I have to put on about three layers of the stuff, one layer doesn’t quite do the job, and then if its a few layers too thick it gets kinda cakey and unblendable, which is a problem I faced initially, can’t say much about anyone else. Nonetheless, I used it for my daily no makeup look, just applying some directly through the brush applicator where I want it and blending it with my fingertips, because when applied right it does look good (kinda healthy, smooth and glowy). It lasts as long as I wear it (max 7 hours), but in my experience, the claim that it is water resistant hasn’t held up.
One concern for me was the presence of parabens. Other than that, I’m a 20 year old with very acne-prone skin (literally anything can give me clogged pores and hence breakouts), and I have to be very careful with what I put on my face. But the one really good thing about this product was that it did not cause me to breakout, so I assume (since it’s not stated) that it is non comedogenic. I used it for about 8-9 months, and my skin didn’t break out once because of it. Also, the stuff lasted quite a while for me, about 5 months, so it was quite cheap, considering.

I’ve used this for ~years~ interchangeably with the Perfect Teint Concealer that comes in a similar, but silver brush pen (and as it turns out, I reviewed that in 2007 and gave it 5 lippies!). I cannot really tell which one of the two is preferable, but I believe the last three I’ve bought and used up within this year were indeed black, Illuminator pens. I use it to touch up shadows under my eyes, any nose area redness and my slightly uneven lip contour, + a little dab at the usual highlighter spots, blend it with fingers and then apply rice powder and sheer compact powder (Bourjois Silk Edition). I also sometimes use primer underneath when I want extra lasting power or illumination.
It is a great product – decent coverage that looks almost invisible and natural when blended, no buildup in lines or pores. I appreciate that it does not feel heavy or isn’t messy to apply as liquid concealer sometimes can be. I have sensitive skin and get random allergic reactions, but haven’t had any reactions or issues with it. It does run out quite quickly with daily use, but then again, I assume changing it often is preferable for hygiene reasons. Also, since I’m cheap and hate wasting stuff: when it runs out so twisting doesn’t work any more, I carefully pull the top part with the brush off, and get access to about 3 more uses’ worth of product.
I’m pale and pink, so I use the lightest, yellowish shade 8 for balance.

Illuminating Yellow #8 looks very skin-like and natural on my bluish undereye circles, cancelling out the darkness there without making the area overly bright. I like that it’s lightweight and non-drying, as well. I either use it on its own, or when I need more coverage, on top of another concealer.

I got this in no. 8 Illuminating Yellow. This is pretty much like the YSL Touch Eclat, only for fraction of the cost and a better shade selection.
It blends like a dream, very lightweight, non-drying formula with a real skin-color yellow shade (not like the too bright YSL). It is mainly a highlighter, but if you have slightly dark circles it’ll cover them up along with your foundation.
It’s a great highlighter but unfortunately it breaks me out (not badly, though) applied anywhere apart from my brow bone and under-eye area…which is so sad cuz its such a great product. That’s the only reason I’m not repurchasing.
