I saw the unique colors of the Black Moon Cosmetics Moonlighters range and I was immediately tempted. Finding that they were on sale I jumped at the opportunity to snag a bunch! The four I purchased were Glow Worm (lime green), Catshark (lilac purple), Jellyfish (highly pigmented blue), and Squid (diamond white). The packaging on these highlighters are super sleek and shiny black with a good mirror on the inside. All of the swatches for the highlighters are very pigmented, although some apply more subtly or strongly than others on the skin. Squid, Catfish, and Glow Worm I found to be easy to build up depending on your preference, while Jellyfish was extremely easy to overdo on application and needed a little practice to use more subtly. Squid is the go-to for a natural look. Catshark I found appeared better in bright outdoor or even low light than natural indoor light. Glow Worm, which has a strongly yellow tint to it, was very subtle even with a lot of layering. Jellyfish, without care to make sure it was subtle, was highly reflective in any light. I am happy to say that even with the differences between them, all of the Moonlighters perform well and last for a long time. With all the color options, good longevity, and beautiful packaging, I think these are my favorite highlighters! My only complaint is that a single one costs $22. I recommend grabbing them when Black Moon holds a sale and grabbing them cheaper, but if the cost is no barrier I think there is a shade for everyone in this line!
