I love this stuff! I never had anything better. I’ve bought it in 2011, now it’s 2015. I still have it and I pretty sure it’s going to last couple more years. I use it almost every day. It’s a great mix of blush and highlighter, very easy to use. It looks gorgeous on the skin. I apply it as a blush with MAC 118 brush. If I think I need more highlighter on my check bones I take eye blender brush and add more product from lighter section. Too bad MAC don’t do anything like this anymore. Blush and highlighter, two in one is such a dream product.

I used to be that MAC gal who was always exctited to discover the upcoming collections, always got to the counter firstly to get the new products, and spent crazy amount of money for the limited stuffs.
Skinfinish – that was my weak point. It took me years to realize that 1. they don’t look good on me (big, shimmering particles sitting in my pores) 2. they don’t look good in photos 3. they don’t last on my skin 4. they provide only sheen-shimmer not that dewy glow I wanted to achieve so badly.
Pearl MSF was the last one I bought. There are much better highlighters out there IMO.

I got this for around $40AUD, and I must say that its worth it. It is limited edition so definately a collectors item. The packaging is sturdy and the melange of bronze and copper in the middle is so unique! I heard some reviewers describing it as a wart, but I don’t think so! Its very exotic and bohemian-looking. The outer part is white and shimmery so it can be used as a highlighter. When swirled together it gives off a peach/copper with some shimmer. Very flattering for golden-toned and tanned girls. I wouldn’t recommend to wear this everyday though, too much shimmer and pearl. I like to wear this during sunny days or on special occasions. But really, it’s all up to you. 5/5 for it being one-of-a-kind and versatility and its fantastic look.

I love this! The champagne colour is great for highlighting! If swirled together it gives off a great golden/champagne colour which would be gorgeous with a tan! But also works great for a day look. It is very shimmery so less is definitely more. Highly recommend this

Upon purchasing this, I didn’t realize that they had given us significantly less product in this LE collection than what is in the permanent MSFs. Despite that, I’m so pleased with this product, and I’m glad I chose this as my very first MSF. The outer rim is a light champagne beige (pretty basic, universal color highlight), and the center portion is a veining of a reddish plum-burgundy swirled with golden bronze, with a few spots of off-white here and there just to lighten it up a bit. I’ve only used the inner part a couple times, and when I first swirled my brush in there and dusted it on my cheeks, I was like ‘WOWZA!’ It’s surprisingly super duper pigmented for an MSF, so light-skinned ladies, only use a light touch of the brush, and that would be enough for one cheek. On my fair skin, it actually turns out to be a reddish-coppery bronze, which doesn’t sound too flattering, but it actually blends out to look very nice, and not patchy looking whatsoever. I think this could also make for a very nice eyeshadow as well.
Mineralize Skinfinishes have a reputation. For being complete glitter bombs, that is. I cannot tolerate glitter anywhere other than on my eyes, so I was completely tickled to find out that this MSF is not glittery! I love the finish of the champagne, and once on my skin, it doesn’t look like I’m wearing an obvious highlight. I actually feel comfortable dusting this on my nose and cupid’s bow! There are no craters on the surface of this product like there are on others, which are usually infested with that chunky glitter. I give this a 4 instead of 5, because I feel like I use the highlight enough, but not the center veining. It can be a little hard to work with, due to the color and my fair cool toned skin, and I feel like a product has to be at least close to HG status to deserve that 5 star rating.

The Semi Precious Pearl seems to be the best value/shade out of all the 4 limited edition semi precious MSF shades in my opinion. The highlighting aspects of this powder is very pretty and flattering on my NC15-20 complexion. I find the MAC MSF as with the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks can be too easy to overapply the shimmer so you MUST use a light hand and a forgiving brush when sweeping this on your cheek bones, forehead, temples etc. As with the BB shimmer bricks it seems to appear less ‘glitter-ball’ if you have set your foundation with a translucent powder first before highlighting or going over your blush. The melange of colours when swept together with the brush creates a beautiful bronzey rosey finish which is perfect as a blusher on paler skintones (NC30 or less). By using a small contour brush you can swirl just the outer ring to get that highlighting effect. I like the dual use aspect of this product although the price is exhorbitant in Australia (and they sneakily made the product smaller in size when compared to previous MSF’s!) at AUD$47 each. I really think MAC could better improve the packaging of this product too.

I have found the highlighter of my dreams!!! I’ve been doing so much research for about 2 months – reading review and doing instore tests. But I couldn’t find a highlighter that isn’t too pink or gold; that provides a highlighted GLOW rather than glittery shimmer; and that has staying power. This pearly colour looks the most natural in my opinion because pink or gold highlights are too obvious. I only use the outer colour as a highlight; I don’t mix the outer and inner colours together for the purpose of highlighting. But mixing them or just using the darker bronzy/gold inner part on its own is great as a blush. It didn’t budge during my 9 to 5 day. I’m very impressed. Of course MAC is amazing so I don’t need to talk about quality and pigment here – its perfection as always. I’m a bit nervous about this product being a “limited edition”. I hope they don’t discontinue it for good because I would cry! 🙁 You must try it!

This was my first msf by MAC and i have to say it was well worth the $30. At first i thought it looked way too shimmery for my already oily skin (especially in the summer time) However, if you just apply a light hand of the outer champagne highlight color to your cheek bones it looks very flattering. The highlight part is not overbearing with shimmer, its more subtle than I thought it would be. It adds a nice “glow” to the face. The inner part is what got me really excited because of the fact i’ve never seen anything like it. Its a mix of plum, bronze, and an iridescent white color. If you mix them altogether you get this very rosy/pink bronze color. It looks absolutely amazing on tanner/darker skin, but anyone who is paler too could probably wear this as well. Overall its a great product and I would recommend to get it fast, since it is limited edition. And out of the four msf’s i think Pearl is the most flattering and unique. 🙂

I am not generally a fan of MSFs, as I find them all to be too shimmery and I breakout if I use them too often. However, I made an exception for this one, as the colors are so so beautiful. The outer portion will make a great highlighter on the eyes and the center part is a wonderful blush. I just couldn’t pass it up. This is the only MSF I purchased from Semi-Precious.

This product was nice enough, I am returning it, its just not worth it.The outer portion reminds me of perfect topping, and the inner part reminds me of cheeky bronze but its a bit more red on the cheeks. I don’t like products that show up too reddish on me, its not in your face,it just has too much pink for me. I prefer rosy bronze colors or peaches. Anyway it is nice but its about 4 grams less than other msfs and it is just too powdery. It seems my older msfs are not so powdery…so lost a lot of points b/c of that. BTW I am nc 42
