I have this in medium, I like the delicate glow it gives. The only thing (maybe only with me) is that after several uses, several powder colors become dusty /oily and I have to gently scratch the colors so that they become powdery again. that’s annoying to me. I want to try original meteorites but this situation stops me from buying.

I have this powder in medium and nothing else looks quite as good as it for all over brightening. I have tried other brands and they just don’t have a comparable effect as they are either too shiny or not glowy enough. I use it both with the Guerlain BB cream and just over another brand of mineral powder foundation as a setting powder and it looks equally good. I have not had any issues with caking or separating even though I have oily skin nor does it cause any breakouts for me. Unfortunately, at $62 USD the big downside as with all Guerlain products is the price. Eventually I will probably buy the Voyage refillable compact as this is a standard item for me and it seems a shame to throw away the case every time.

I have this in the Clair colour. It is really a finishing powder and not a highlighter (so is miscategorized on this site- maybe that’s why there are surprisingly few reviews). As a finishing powder it definitely delivers the blurring effect that contributes to a “flawless face” look- I wear it over BB cream (either Guerlain or Dior) but even kabuki-brushed quickly over bare skin it makes you look much better. However I would agree with the other reviewer about it maybe looking a bit too cold and light/ white under certain lighting conditions, and ever since I bought it I’ve been wondering if I should have purchased it in the medium colour instead. I think on repurchase I will switch to the medium colour which I think it is still light enough even for fair skinned people. One other thing I’ve really liked about this product is that it has been really robust- I travel a lot (like 2+ flights per week) and I bought this at the airport to be my “travel” powder. I am more than half way through the pan (I can see the bottom in various places) but the powder is still in tact and hasn’t cracked up, something I’ve found happening much sooner to every other pressed powder I’ve ever owned and tried to travel with.

edit: Attention to all my light-skinned girls with yellow or olive undertones, I tried the Meteorites compact powder in ‘Medium’ today, and it has none of the silvery cast I got from ‘Light’, even under the most terrible lighting…I don’t mind having both though. I still like how ‘Light’ imparts a more ethereal sort of glow, I just have to be mindful of the lighting I will subjected under with ‘Light’. For reference, I’m nc15 in the dead of winter, up to nc25 when I get a tan…but most of the year (and at this moment), I’m an nc20.

I tried this at the store (the lightest shade), and was amazed at how smooth and photoshopped it made my face look, even over cheap drugstore foundation that’s a little too yellow and dark on me. Indoors, outdoors, day or night, under most types of lighting…this stuff works. I also like that I can buy refills and save $$, I’d just stick it into my Z-palette along with my other ‘re-fill’ products. The only thing is, in very bad lighting (dim fluorescent lighting to be specific), there is a noticeable ‘silver’ cast on my face, it made the rest of my body look light yellow in comparison. I would take off half a lippie for that and rate it 4.5/5. Otherwise it’s perfect, my skin was looking pretty smooth and flawless for atleast 7 hours (washed it off by then, so not sure how long the effect really lasts), so this is the kind of product that I wouldn’t worry about touch-ups with, infact I would be afraid to touch up too soon, after noticing the slight silver cast. I have a thing for finishing powders, so I will definitely be getting this, I plan to try Hourglass ‘Diffused Light’ next. If you are in poor lighting alot of the time (ie. poorly lit offices), you might want to skip it, or maybe get it but use it when you’re going out and about. I think the price for the re-fill is a pretty good deal, you don’t need alot of product (trust me!) and it should last me atleast a year with very regular wear. I just wish their sheer bronzers came in re-fills too.

I bought this in medium on a whim whilst perusing duty free! I’m so so pleased I did. I’m 48 years old and have NEVER seen my finished skin look like perfection. I use it as a finishing powder but before bronzer as it does lighten the complexion – I wish I could explain the finished effect; candlelit with airbrushing would be the best. In the UK we can’t return makeup so this was a big chance spend but I’m so pleased I did. I have tried both Hourglass & Bobby Brown but this surpasses them by miles. A definite repurchase for me ????

Smells wonderful, the package looks beautiful, apart from that it didn’t do anything for my face, waste of money.

As a lover of the Ballz I had to get this when I saw it on Sephora. Also having travel friendly Meteorites was something I always wanted and now that I’m ready to shell out the $$ for the Voyageur I had to purchase this. 😉 To me this is more similar in formula to the older Meteorites or Teint Rose. This has less shimmer if you can even call it that. I swatched the new balls verse the older ones and then the compact and this looks to be more like my older balls in terms of “shimmer” if you can even call it that. So if you like the Teint rose before the reformulation this might be of interest to you. The shades work to impart light on the face and the Clair or Light ones are for brightening, correcting, and imparting light on the skin. A little breakdown the green, violet, and pink brighten and correct. The white and champagne even skintone, brighten, and illuminate the face.
The compact itself is plastic but very sturdy, luxe, and pretty! It comes with a velvet pouch but no puff or applicator of any kind. For 62$ I would of hoped they could of gave something. But better nothing then something that doesn’t work well or one that I’ll never use. It has the same violet scent and is a very firm but fine powder if that makes sense? It feels like a lot is packed in and you get 10 grams of product for the price. The compact in my hand feels very heavy and is a fingerprint magnet! It’s worse than NARS in terms of fingerprints on the compact itself. I am fine with that because really I’m enjoying using this. I apply it on the go with a travel 187 I have but my elf powder brush works great too.
It is a finishing powder so it just pulls everything together for me. My makeup does last a touch longer and I’m less shiny. When I am not wearing Meteorites of some sort I feel that I’m missing something, so to have a compact version Is really great. Very happy I purchased this because I can enjoy them more and now finally have an easier traveling companion. It comes in 3 shades and I am very satisfied with this purchase. Plus I like that they are similar to the Teint Rose.Totally Recommended!
