I’m no stranger when it comes to powder highlighters. My general favourite has been the Becca highlighters, which I have owned in a few shades.
I was after a more natural, daily illuminator as I found Becca to be too dramatic for daily use, and generally wanted something that gave me the coveted dewy, lit from within glow that powders just don’t give. In comes Frank Body Illuminator.
This baby comes in a screw top pot containing 10g of product- plenty to last you a long while, and reason being is a quick swirl of your fingertips onto the product is enough for a lightly dewy look on all high points of the face, or maybe 2 or 3 swirls of you wish to build.
Being a coconut oil based highlight, I was worried this would shift my makeup or cause clogged pores. I’ve used this for a few months now and can say that isn’t the case, unless using somewhere unlikely like the forehead, between the brows or the chin.
I generally use 2 swirls of the product on my fingers, and pat onto cheekbones, temples, inner corner of the eyes, cupids bow, lower lip and occasionally on the highest point under the brow. This can be used on top of makeup (which I don’t find shifts my blush or contour of I dab, but may do if I swipe the product), or on moisturized skin, or a face of makeup sans foundation which is so far my favourite way to wear it. It’s easy to use, so affordable and lasts throughout a work day.
Pros:
* easy to use- just swirl, pat and go
* inexpensive- it cost me $16.96 AUD from Mecca Maxima for 10g , and I’ve had it for a few months and have barely made a dent
* unscented – apart from the natural coconut oil scent
* gorgeous lit from within dewy glow
* sits well on bare skin or over makeup
* lasts through all work day
Cons:
* comes in a screw top post jar- not the most sanitary
* can be a little tacky for the first 30 mins it has been applied
* some people may be sensitive to the coconut oil
* not super accessible- online and at Mecca only afaik
I’ve been pleasantly surprised with this product and often have it in my purse for the occasions I want a dewy pop!

NARCISSISTIC: I was so excited when I first received this BUT I could not get this product on my brush. In order to really get this on my face I had to apply like 4 layers. Pass on this shade. ????

I have this in Ritualistic. It’s a gorgeous white shimmer highlighted but on my skin it has the slightest golden sheen. It’s beautiful and makes my skin glowly! I like to apply this with my ELF small stiple brush. The best part is that this product was very cheap!

I bought this on a whim looking for a cheap liquid highlighter. I bought this in 02Gleam. I have tan skin(Nc40-42). I really like the color, its a pinky bronze color and thats somewhere in the middle with being gold and silver sheened. I have tried many ways to apply this, my favorite way is for the cheeks/cheek bones.
To mix this in with foundationa and apply all over is a no go. Blended out, you can see obvious glitter peices and not a smooth glow. Not a good look. Thus it is good to keep this concentrated in areas and only then it is quite nice. Still on the search for a liquid highlighter for mixing to give me an all over glow.

I have been on a drugstore highlighter binge and this is one of my faves I got the color Ritualistic and it is gorgeoussss I swatched this and too faced candlelight next to each other at ulta and they are seriously the same although too faced did last longer on my hand thru out the day ive found the best way to use this is with a duo fiber brush otherwise it can be very BAM in your face I use the Sonia kashuk duo fan brush which is an awesome brush anyway and it gives the perfect amount of glow on my face I want to go back and get more colors by far one of the best highlighters for a drugstore price

I purchased this from Ulta about a year ago for around $9 i think. I was looking for an all over the face highlight (cheekbones, forehead, chin, cupids bow). It has to much glitter/shimmer in it. I really was hoping for something that would just give me a light glow. When I place it on my cheek bones it is just to shimmery and makes my blush looks misplaced/glossed over. I cannot really use it on all other places I would normally highlight because It really just makes me look shiny and glittery. It is an ok product if you just want a little pop of shine but not as a high light. I would not purchase this again.

A few months ago, i got the Benefit Watt’s Up Birthday Sample from Sephora and I have been LOVING it. Since I love it so much and refuse to pay the price tag, I’ve been on the hunt for a dupe. Narcissistic…Is a powder dupe. Now, I don’t throw that word out lightly. I mean, I think the word “dupe” has been very bastardized since youtube. But this….is really dead on.
Now, since it is a powder, you need to build it a little in order to get the real…”pow” factor that you get from the Watt’s Up…but that the difference in my opinion between a cream and a powder. Don’t get me wrong though, just because its a powder does not mean this is powdery. Its actually quite the opposite. I also have oily skin, so having something not as potent or easy to go over board with is better for me. I definitely love this highlighter. I will be repurchasing.

I have this in both Narcissistic and Magnetic. Neither one work really well as highlighter for me. I thought Narcissistic, because it’s somewhat pink-toned would be similar to a Benfit’s High Beam effect but it just ends up being like a light pink blush which is too over-powering on the top of the cheekbones. It comes off like i misplaced my blush is all it essentially does. Magnetic does the same thing except is’ more peach toned. Pass on these.
