Full disclosure–I’m 40. Per the makeup “rules,” I should have purged my glitter about 10 years ago. Because I’m only a rules-follower with everything but makeup and wearing white clothing only before Labor Day, I bought Cover FX Glitter Drops in Lunar. I liked the idea of mixing and blending glitter into foundation and moisturizer. Lunar is a very pale cool blue color with multicolored glitter–the blue shimmer stands out on me. I’m NW15 and prefer cooler-tones to warmer ones.
This is a very fine glitter–it’s actually pretty subtle if you mix it in with something else. It’s enough to give a lovely glow and when the light hits it, it is very shimmery and pretty. Using it on its own is probably a bit much for me, but I like that I can add some sheen to my body lotion or moisturizer. This is a “weekends only” product for me, because I work in a conservative office and this might be OTT for that environment.
The con: this is pretty expensive at $44 (USD). Some might not like the eyedropper applicator, but I’m ok with it, personally. The glass feels solid and the eyedropper isn’t flimsy.
I like this a lot. It lives up to its name and does make me feel like a unicorn without feeling like I’m 5 years old. I might even check out the other colors.

The Glitter Drops are new for Cover FX and fans of their Customer Enhancing Drops might want to give this unique product a try. It is extremely versitile and the glitter doesn’t look “chunky” or overly “sparkly.” This is probably the most classy way to wear glitter I’ve seen yet. Another great thing is that the glitter drops don’t feel rough at all. The glitter is microfine. You can basically wear this anywhere. I’ve been using it on my lips with great success.
