I have this highlighter in the shade 01 Star Glow (I think there were 3 shades) and loved it at first. I had finally found a good liquid highlighter that didn’t have any noticable shimmer or glitter in it and I was extatic (the price also helped). I bought this while I was in Turkey and at that time thought that I would repurchase it every time I went there. But the problems started pretty early.
Packaging :
Awful. It’s just a squeezy tube, but the problem is that with this product the second you open it, it starts seeping out (rather quickly) whether you want it to or not. So unless you’re willing to take a few hits of liquid highlighter on your surroundings or don’t mind chucking away half the product in the tube (as I did), you’re gonna have a problem.
Product :
This is a great liquid highlighter for anyone who just likes the most minimal of makeup, but if you want to pat this on top of your foundation, prepare to say bye to whatever coverage you have on your face. Completely wipes it away. I even tried to put this under my brows and it removed the bit of concealer I had sitting there. So, if you like a bare skin with just a highlight, you’re fine! At least you are if you use it regularly. I hadn’t used mine in a month and I already saw in the tube it was kind of seperating (there’s a fine bit of rose pigment in it that you don’t normally see in the tube) and when I shook it up to mix it together again, it didn’t really work. I was left with a very wet consistency & a weird hue to my highlight.
I would ultimately recommend this product only to people who would use it regularly, don’t mind messy packaging and won’t wear any foundation/concealer underneath it. For that small group of people, this would be an absolutely wonderful product, and I could see myself actually using it again for those days. But those are few and far between and if you’re someone that likes liquid highlight and expects a lot from it, don’t bother.
Also if anyone can recommend a cream/liquid highlighter without any noticable shimmer or glitter in it, I beg you, tell me!
