These are expensive, but I would repurchase the 2 I have without question. These are the definition of natural glowy goodness. I use these lots of ways; patted on cheekbones as a true highlight, mixed in with foundation for an all over glow, or a drop mixed with a blob of moisturizer, then spot conceal… They are versatile, and will last forever.. Their site always has sales that make the price a lot lower than Sephora or Ulta. Definitely recommend.

There are certain makeup items that i live do much that I practically hoard them and highlighters are definitely onr of them! Since these came out, I would drool over swatches and pictures but was afraid to put that much $ into a highlighter that may not fit my skin tone. I am VERY fair and I’ve cone to know what shades compliment me but when I need to step out of my comfort zone I try to experiment with more affordable products first. Luckily, the very 1st month I signed up with Sephora Play, I received a sample size of this in Moonstone and I was blown away. I’m all about the high shine effect, especially when it had that wet, metallic look and this is super blindingwith just the smallest amount. Every day I’ll usually use a powder highlighter on all the typical places and place a very intense liquid, cream, gel etc.on the highest points of my cheekbones that matches with the powder one and this takes my highlight to a while new level but I’ve never seen anything like this….it’s absolutely breathtaking. When i wear this…I wear ONLY this and only on my cheekbones because it is so blinding and intense and I’ll use a more toned down powder for my nose, Cupid bow and the rest. I literally only need 2 very small dots on each cheek and it blends out to s dining 9 highlight that gets me constant compliments. I have all intentions of buying full size but i need so little of it that my smoke bottle barely had a dent in it and I’ve had it for at least 6 months do it’s worth the extra cash. I would recommend this to anyone who isn’t scared off by a stronger highlight!

I received a mini bottle of this from Ulta. When I first tried this, I though: “That is dark….”, but the color is not as dark as i looks int he bottles. then: “Too glittery”. I still agree with myself on that the shimmer in this isn’t very fine, BUT: if you want to be very glowy (not glittery)… this somehow just works…! Right now I’m an NC25, and the Moonlight drops are a great choice for my skin tone. I have sensitive skin, but haven’t reacted to these illuminating drops; I really like that they have no fragrance.
I use this by mixing it into my foundation. My favorite foundation to mix this into has been the Algenist Reveal Foundation. It takes the finish form a satin-matte to a glowy finish. Strangely enough, while I can see the shimmer particles very well when I swatch the Custom Drops on my hand, when they are blended into a foundation, I can’t see that it’s shimmery, and even in natural light, with a mirror close to me, my face doesn’t look shimmery. This is very different from when I use a shimmery powder or highlighter, where the shimmer sits on top of my skin. The glow I get from mixing these drops into my foundation looks like just very well moisturized skin, without having the oily or wet feeling that usually comes with this. If you are a person who tends to get oily throughout the day, the glow might become a little too much after some times though, but I imagine this being a really fun product for those who have dry skin and are never able to look like they have just come back from a tropical island 🙂
When I first received the little bottle of the custom enhancer drops I was thinking that I would never use them – maybe only as highlight on my eyes or something, but damn it – I want a full bottle now…! I wish these weren’t so expensive: $42 for 0.5 fl.oz 🙁 If someone finds something super similar to these for a better price, feel free to message me 😉
