I found this ‘contour stick’ in the shade “Highlighter” at the dollar store for $1. I’m in a phase of using cream products all over my face recently, and I figured that since I have very fair skin, I could use this when I’m on the go. The price is great, and I like that L.A. Colors is cruelty free. The ingredients listed on the stick are: isopropyl myristate, mica, paraffin, mineral oil, ethylhexyl palmitate, polyethylene, beeswax, hydrogenated coconut oil. May contain iron oxides. There are 1.9 grams of product in the container. This particular shade is a light, shimmery champagne.
The stick is convenient, and I haven’t had any problems with the lid coming off in the couple of weeks or so since I’ve been carrying this in my purse. I’ve used it less as a solo highlighter than as a concealer in conjunction with the other contour stick I have. I’ve used it a couple of times to help cover up my massive undereye circles at work. First I put a couple of strokes of the contour stick on, blend them in, and then blend another stroke or 2 of the highlighter on top. The cream feels kind of like the concealer sticks of my youth–thick and somewhat oily–but not quite as much as the contour stick. It’s somewhat sheer, so if you were using this as an actual highlighter you might have to layer it on. (I should try that, but it’s hard to find the time to do everything you would like to do with your makeup.) This shade might have more impact on darker skins.
I’m happier with this product than the other contour stick because it’s more versatile and fun. It’s not a must-have, but would be a good addition to any makeup collection, especially for someone who wants to experiment with the highlight trend without spending a lot. Definitely a good buy for $1.

I found this ‘contour stick’ in the shade “Light to Brighten” at the dollar store for $1. I’m in a phase of using cream products all over my face recently, and I figured that since I have very fair skin, I could use this as a concealer when I’m on the go. The price is great, and I like that L.A. Colors is cruelty free. The ingredients listed on the stick are: isopropyl myristate, paraffin, mineral oil, ceresin, mica, ethylhexyl palmitate, polyethylene, beeswax, hydrogenated coconut oil. May contain iron oxides, titanium dioxide. There are 1.9 grams of product in the container.
The stick is convenient, and I haven’t had any problems with the lid coming off in the couple of weeks or so since I’ve been carrying this in my purse. I’ve used it a couple of times to cover up my massive undereye circles at work, and once on a blemish. The shade is slightly ‘off’ for my skin tone, and the cream feels like the concealer sticks of my youth–thick and somewhat oily. It looks better if I use 2-3 strokes of this stick under my eyes, blend a little and then blend a little of the highlighter stick (separate review) over it. It’s obviously not perfect, but for inexpensive emergency makeup it does the job.
I put ‘yes’ that I would buy this again because it works for the price and I’m glad I have it. However, probably next time I’ll get a little more expensive liquid concealer to carry in my makeup bag.

I’m surprised at the bad reviews. I got this in my Ipsy bag a while ago and it’s one of my favorites I’ve ever received. Comes in really handy. Very blendable in that you can make it light or dark depending on how much you rub it in. I’m not sure about how long it lasts tho. I found it much easier to contour with the stick compared to powder via brushes.

This product is cheap and the texture of the product is great. However, it only comes in one colour which clearly would not work on anyone with very light or dark beautiful skin. For me the shade was a bit too dark and the amount of product you get is kind of depressing. As someone who doesnt wear makeup often and only uses small amounts of the product so that the colour is somewhat okay it is running out so quickly.

This is a matte cream contour with a smooth blendable texture that is quick and easy to use. Limited shade range, best for medium warm skin tones. There are 2 shades, but what shade you get depends on what size you order. Yes, strange I know.
FULL SIZE is #01, a medium/dark neutral
MINI SIZE is #02, a medium warm

With only two shades available, light & medium, this isn’t the best in terms of shade range. The product itself if is a medium size, retractable crayon style contour stick, good for small areas (sides of nose) and larger areas (forehead, cheeks, jawline) alike. There is dimethicone in this which doesn’t bother me and probably why it’s so easy to blend. I purchased the shade medium, and while it doesn’t look like much it actually works very well to give a natural contour without looking artificially sculpted. The shade is still very light though and really only works for me when I don’t have a tan. I’m not sure I’d repurchase yet since I’m trying out other options as well. Wet ‘n’ Wild makes a good duo contour/highlight stick although it isn’t as fine tipped as the Quo one.
