This stuff smells insanely good, it looks insanely good too (as long as you use it sparingly).
There are people who hate on Body Lava, saying it stained their clothes or made their skin feel sticky. Well, ladies and gentleman, you only need one pump. If you are using too much product, this is when you are going to feel like you’ve slathered honey all over your body. Little goes a long way, make sure you use a dense kabuki brush to blend this lotion into your skin and you’re going to love it!
Now, it never stained my clothes, but if you want to be extra careful – wait for yours to dry down a bit before dressing up. Normally it takes around 5-10 min for the product to get absorbed. There is always going to be a bit of a residue left on your skin’s surface, it’s a given, so be mindful of that. As long as you know how to use it right, it is going to be your number one summer staple!

This was a hard NOPE! It was like smearing syrup on my skin that never settled into anything wearable. It was a sticky mess with just a hint of fine shimmer. Shocking waste of money. I returned it to Sephora as soon as it arrived in the mail, and the staff said they had been receiving lots of returns of this not-cheap product.

I was initially going to buy this product, because it had so many great reviews and I really wanted a Body Luminizer to give my skin a beautiful glow.
Thank god I was able to try this in store (I was wearing a summer dress and applied this product to my chest, shoulders and arms and walked around with this product on me the whole day to test). This product smells sooo good, like cake frosting. Unfortunately, that’s the only good thing about it.
This Body Luminizer very sticky and won’t dry, so you will walk around feeling tacky the whole day. It almost feels like applying liquid Vaseline on your skin, which means that it will transfer onto your clothes and your hair will stick to it.
Sadly it’s not long-lasting either, because the shimmer rubs off quite easily leaving behind the chunkier glitter particles and just a sticky greasy feeling from the product.
In my opinion this is not worth the money or the hype.

A nice body luminizer that applies evenly and provides a nice bronze glow to the skin. It has a nice sweet scent. You don’t need much- 3 pumps for the whole neck, shoulder and chest area is plenty. The only dislike is the packaging. It’s beautiful packaging but it’s so huge for only 3 oz. It may not fit in your carry on baggage. It’s great for daily use, for the beach, and nights out. It’s lasts all day even in 90 degree weather when I’m actively sweating and moving around. I don’t get any transfer of product on anything.
