I then take the Basekissed Illuminator in the colour Casablanca and mix with my foundation and apply. Ilove using illuminators, especially in the summer as I want to have a dewy glow in the sun. The barekissed illuminator is filled with light-reflecting pigments which is suitable for all skin types and tones. However, I feel for this look I should have gone for a more golden tone that Sleek also as in their range. You can also use this illuminator after makeup on the cheekbones and body.

A good illumintor for glowing dewy cheeks. Its great value for money I find it a little difficult to apply Its very light but with a bit of patience it works well. I prefer wearing it over my blusher for a subtle highlighting effect.

I always wanted to get one of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors, but those were too expensive for me, so I decided to try Sleek’s version of a liquid highlighter. I got the lightest one – Monaco, because I am Casper-whitte. It is a silver with lilac undertones, a really beautiful shade.
PROS:
– glides on the skin so easily and blends like a dream
– it literally fuses into the skin and does look like a glow from within
– you need the tiniest amount to highlight all the usual spots – cheek bones, brow bone, bridge of nose, etc; I have had this product for a year and I still have not even used half of it!
– it is certainly a multi-use product; I use it alone as a highlighter, I mix it with my foundation, my moisturiser, even with my sunscreen and it does not alter their formula; I also use it all over the eye as a wash of colour and on my body as well
– it can be layered depending on the intensity you are going for and it won’t get chunky
– the packaging is excellent, it comes in a glass bottle with a pump and does not feel cheap at all
But this highlighter has some cons, unfortunately:
– the shimmers in it are not so finely milled, there are no chunks of glitter, but there are intense sparkles and quite noticable shimmer particles. I expected an intense, metallic sheen. I can still get an intense effect, but the shimmer particles are very visible even when light is not hitting my face. Despite that, I still like this product and I still use it, but if the shimmer particles bother you, may be you should reconsider your choice
– it does not last long the skin; I have dry to normal skin and this fades away in about three to four hours, so if you are oily maybe it will last even for less. BUT when it fades, there is still a really beautiful and subtle sheen left on the skin, so it fades in a nice way, you are not left with nothing.
Despite these two minuses, for the price, this is an extremely nice product because it is so versatile and easy to apply!
