ETA PLEASE DISREGARD WRONG PRODUCT MINE IS GOLDEN SANDS!! Moving review I AM SORRY MEA CULPA!
Hey I got this in my Ipsy glam plus and I’d never have purchased (tho I have purchased loved and reviewed a couple Huda products)… I already own a Becca and Nars face palette I purchased and although I own a billion blushes highlighters and bronzers I do not “contour”. This though. Ohhhh this. This is a JOY. It literally tells you what to do exactly and the end result is DELECTABLE! I even use on eyelids for the contour shade as crease etc. The quality of the powders are like buttah. Knowing what I do know I would pay full price for this in a heartbeat and hey I know how to contour now, thanks to the contour brush provided with it in same Ipsy shipment lol. I use fluffy powder brush for “step one”, my highlighter brush for step 2, said contour brush for 3 and my blush brush for 4. I did my eyes with this today so I’m putting up a pic of the look. I have a faux tan and my base was hourglass stick in honey set with Mac powder+ in nc43. I have flouro yellow hair in case there are other pics. It stays on all day with or without setting spray (I powder and apply this over – and if I do not spray nothing goes over it).

This palette is amazing quality, the powders are so smooth, buttery, and wet looking….I have more highlighters than I could use in 100 lifetimes, but this was a purchase I’m super happy I made. Its cheap Huda cardboard packaging, but its very sturdy, and easy to grab and use quickly….these are not subtle highlighters, but they blend out beautifully…definitely recommend.

I picked the Golden Sands as it seems to be Huda`s favorite in her vids. And I fell in love with it. I love Seychelles and hardly use the strobe cream Fiji. I even doubled Zanzibar as a blusher and it looked pink with gold flecks on me(Im NC 35-37) I loved it. I would def try the Bronze range for contouring. Its going to be my next purchase ,for sure. Golden Sands is kinda expensive but Huda makes good quality products. She`s done her lab research and I respect her work for that and willing to pay premium. Will def support a beauty blogger that has come a long way. I also love the packaging which is great for travels and the holographic 3D design. So cool! Highly recommend

I have been following huda for the longest time i can say from when she started her blog.. i remember tweeting her and she would reply back…and i dont want to be a party pooper but after being so excited and buying this highlighter palette and using it from excitement it has broken me out.. and that never happens to me because i am extra careful with my skincare.. on my high points on my face where i apply the highlighter i have broken out!! I am very disappointed as this didnt work for me.. and the price tag wasnt cheap either

Hi guys, so I’m a NC40-42 yellow based olive/medium skin tone and thought this was my holy grail highlighter. I love Huda and her lipsticks so was over the moon for this! SO….I was quite disappointed when I got it to try. The pigment is lacking in these shades for deeper skin tones, which this palette is aimed for! If you’re NC20-25, maybe even 30 this could be worth a try for you….but for us medium ladies I found that the “bronzer” Tahiti was a skintoned highlighter on me…..not really any bronze. And the blush shade “Zanzibar” hardly any pigment showed up! So although the texture and packaging and quality is reasonably high, the pigment for deeper skin tones is lacking punch. They are designed to use together and I found that I just looked all over shimmery…..so as much as I love Huda, this one wasn’t the best for me!

Hi Guys,
I recently purchased the highly anticipated first ever 3D highlighter palette by Huda Beauty. I bought the Golden Sands edition. I wear mac NC30 but I personally prefer champagne hues over silver for my highlight.
I was so excited to use this highlighter palette. I received it and the next morning when I was getting glam I decided I would take the plunge and use it. The palette consists of four different shades and four different instructions:
#1. FIJI (PREP):
Description: This is the melted strobe which is very pigmented and a true gold, this is very creamy but thick at the same time. When you try to apply it you want to use a harder hand to blend it out, however when using a harder hand it separates.
Instruction: Apply Fiji as a base to smooth skin and amplify light reflecting pearls.
#2. SEYCHELLES (SET):
Description: This is a champagne powder that is not as pigmented, I would not wear this shade as a highlighter alone as it is so faint.
Instruction: Dab Seychelles from cheek to temple to set & bring out pop.
#3. TAHITI (SCULPT):
Description: This is a shimmery brown shade, it reminds me of Nars Laguna mixed with shimmer. I believe this is meant to be like a contour for the highlight. The pigment yet again is not so amazing with this shade too.
Instruction: Apply Tahiti under cheekbones to add dimension & shape.
#4. ZANZIBAR (FLUSH):
Description: This is actually a very pretty muted coral. (I’m not even a blush fan, so thats saying something!) This is meant to be a blush and it is also lacking pigment.
Instruction: Sweep Zanzibar on apples of your cheeks for a healthy glow.
I ordered it for £40.00 – the price isn’t too bad considering its very similar to the Anastasia Beverley Hills highlighter palette price range. Due to the quality I would say it’s too expensive for the actual product itself. The packaging is beautiful, but the content is not as special as I was lead to believe.
I am still going to try using it with several different brushes to see if anything improves, I also would like to say you are meant to layer so that could be the reason to why the 3 other shades aren’t as pigmented but I do think using them individually should still be an option.
Thanks for reading everyone, I hope this was useful. If I do have a change of heart or find a way to improve it I will update.
Asia xoxo
