I think I got this as a travel size at Sephora. I have very dry coarse curly hair. At first I loved this product because it did make good on its claims of making my hair softer and more manageable. It’s also pretty much the only thing that has any effect on my hair when it’s not wet or damp. It’s strong oily stuff. But it’s smell is so overpowering and the bottle leaks easily. Although it’s not a bad product, I prefer to use pure coconut oil which is cheaper and as effective without the smell and can be used in multiple ways.

I am giving this 4 Lippies because it is a solid product. After having the larger bottle for six years I finally know how to use it in my routine. This will be used to smooth my flyways and give my hair some weight when it is straight. Without this my at home flat ironings on my 4b african hair would not look as sleek and shiny. All this time I have used it to seal in moisture for my kinky styles and that just isn’t what I will be using it for going forward. The good news is I will not have to repurchase soon as I only need a few drops. Even better news is it stills smells as heavenly now as when I bought it six years ago. Corn oil or not, I like it. I would purchase this again.

This product works pretty well and smells awesome, but for a 15 dollar bottle of Corn Oil, I would instead buy 5 tubes of coconut oil and wear some perfume. Also the package leaks quite easily (but hair oil usually does that). Overall It oils your hair just fine but there are better hair oils to try out there.

So I got this because I was out of my Moroccan Oil. Its cheaper than MO ($14 for a less than one ounce bottle vs. $10 for a two ounce bottle of Carol’s Daughter oil) so I give it 4 lippies for price, but I’m kind of disappointed by this stuff. Everyone talks about how great it smells and its just really not doing it for me. Kind of like how everyone is crazy about that VS Lovespell stuff and it just smells really cheap and like an unclean teenage girl to me. The Tui oil smells like cheap bubblegum fragrance, maybe its just because I love the way the Moroccan Oil stuff smells (all dreamy and jasminey). Anyway so I got this thinking it would help to tame some flyaways and sleek down my hair a bit, but it really doesn’t do that well for me. Its heavy on the hair and takes awhile to absorb not as bad but similar to the affect of John Frieda Secret Weapon. But today I tried putting it in before blow drying and that seemed to definitely have some effect. So at least its good for something, just sucks it didn’t do what I was expecting and smells pretty bad to me.

I HATE THIS PRODUCT!
It’s a greasy, oily mess. Packaging sucks. It spilled all over my makeup and made it smell like flowery corn oil (which is all this stuff is). OVERPRICED FLOWERY CORN OIL! I will never repurchase or try this product again if it meant my life. This is a utter and total disaster of a product.
Please don’t buy.
PS: I have coarse, thick, wavy hair…it didn’t work for me.
If you want shine, try Unite’s Liquishine…HG for me.

People– it’s a HAIR OIL. If you don’t have very, very dry hair, it will make your hair greasy. You could try this as a leave-in conditioner — she makes that too, and it might work better for your hair. Now for the review.
I have very fine, long, curly/wavy hair that will dry out of you even look at it wrong. I picked this up really quickly the last time I was at Sephora for 8.50. It smells really lovely on my hair, an tames down frizz while making my hair very soft. I only use 1-3 drops (usually one while wet, one while dry) on my hair. Also, I don’t put a lot on the top of my head (the tiny bit that’s left on my hands after vigorously smoothing it into the rest of my hair) and none on my bangs, otherwise my hair looks limp and greasy. Concentrating on my length, however, gives me gorgeous hair. Will probably buy again.
Not sure if it’s just the one bottle I picked up, but I’m going to have to transfer it to another bottle because the one it’s in LEAKS LIKE CRAZY!

I didn’t care for this. It would probably work better for thicker, heavier, dry hair types. I have long, slightly dry hair, but it can tend to lack volume. When I applied it, my hair looked like it had greasy strands. I understand it is all in the application, but with the way it is packaged – it is very hard to dispense the right amount. It might work better if it was a spray on or something like that. I never tried it as a hot oil tx, so maybe it would be good that way? But for the price and the amount you get – I would just get a different oil. The main ingredient is corn oil, so I couldn’t justify the price point when I felt I could make it myself. I will say it smelled fabulous though!!! That was the best thing about it! It may work for some people, but it just did not for my hair.

I bought a small bottle of the tui hair oil to try it out and I love it. I apply mostly to my ends or any frizzy bits. It helps give my hair shine and softness. Plus I love the scent! The scent lasts for a long time on my head and you only need to use a little bit. It is mainly corn oil, so I understand the gripes of other reviewers, but don’t forget many of these products were made in a kitchen initially and then later marketed towards the public. Great if your hair is dry or coarse.

I use this on my daughter’s verrrry thick long hair and it works just fine its not heavvvy because a little goes a long way…it smells really good…it was a gift and was aghast to find how expensive it is was even more so that’s its *CRISCO* WOW…..IF I DO DECIDE TO PURCHASE THIS I MIGHT USE IT AS A BODY OIL AND HAIR OIL…..MULTI TASK THAT $$$.

This is a great hair oil…that said for all of you who said it was greasy and heavy…it’s OIL! I wouldn’t be using this product if I just needed a little moisture on my ends as there are other products for that. My hair is medium-long, very thick, very voluminous, and very, very dry! Since I like my hair straight and sleek, this oil really does the trick. Not only does it smell amazing, it’s perfect to sleep in over night or if your hair is thick and fried from processing like relaxers, hair dying, or even really bad hair cuts and full of splits, it’s fantastic! Definitely worth the money if you’re looking for a great hair oil instead of those synthetic oils that you find in CVS. It lasts for a long time and works some moisturizing magic, especially if you have dry roots and ends, like me….did I mention that it smells good? ^_*
