I brought this a couple of weeks ago and cannot stress how much I hate this product. I’ve used it about 4 times in-between shampoo and conditioner (as my hairdresser said shampoo opens up your hair strands allowing treatments to work better and then conditioner closes it)
I straighten my hair about twice a week and have been for just over half a year, I used to use a moisture recovery by joico until they no longer sold it. So I brought this for 5 pounds In boots.
Ever since i began using this treatment, I’ve noticed a lot of strands of my hair have been falling out and my hairs been breaking off quite easily. At first I was convinced it was because of the straightening but as it became worse I started looking through all my products. Because it started happening when I used this, I looked through the ingredients and OMG.
It contained Isopropyl Alcohol. I was stupid not to check the ingredients before because Isopropyl Alcohol is known to make hair break or fall out.
Waste of my money..

As someone who heat styles their hair at least 5 times a week, I’m always on the lookout for products that can protect and prevent dryness, split ends, breakage etc. And as Aussie has a reputation for producing good quality products at reasonable prices, it made sense to me to give this one a go.
I have to confess when I first used this I didn’t think much to it. The consistency is quite thin – a lot thinner than the regular Aussie conditioners anyway – the scent is practically non-existent (I LOVE the scent of the regular Aussie products) and the end results weren’t that great. In fact my hair didn’t really feel in any better condition than if I’d used my regular conditioner after shampooing. Then I stumbled on a neat trick – only use it once a week! Once I’d realised this my whole opinion changed. I usually use it on a Wednesday (it being the middle of the working week and all that) and apply it after regular shampooing. But here’s the important bit – you have to leave it in for at least 3 minutes! As tempting as it might be to wash it out sooner, I’ve found that the longer you leave it, the better the results are. And after using this I don’t use any other protection product on my hair, except for the smallest amount of my L’Oreal heat protection spray. Then I just style as normal and hey presto – lovely, soft, silky, shiny hair! Yay!!
I doubt my way of using it would suit everyone, but for me it works wonders and has definitely helped in my war against spilt ends and all their associated pals. Now I’ve got to grips with this I would definitely buy again, with my only gripe being I WISH Aussie would change the scent so it’s the same as the regular Aussie conditioners. Then I’d give it 5/5 for definite!
