I’ve three feet of slightly wavy and a bit dry hair.
This product is fantastic; after shampooing just a couple of drops works for all my hair from tips to roots.
Nice and healthy too!
One bottle has lasted one year (washing once per week) and I’m no longer beholden to silicone heavy slick conditioners with too much perfume 🙂
Will definitely repurchase.

I found this too watery and not conditioning enough. It didn’t help detangle when I applied it to wet hair and left my hair looking wet when I applied it to dry hair. Would not recommend.

PROS:
1. The oil is very moisturizing and leaves dry, coarse hair feeling soft and much healthier. This has moisturized my hair better than most serums on the market.
2. It can be used as leave in oil (using just a couple drops) or as a mask (saturating the hair).
3. The bottle packaging is good quality – it comes in a thick green glass bottle.
4. This product is NOT tested on animals.
5. It has mostly natural ingredients.
CONS:
1. From the ingredients list, it doesn’t appear to have Rosemary oil in it. This is misleading and disappointing because I bought the product knowing that Rosemary oil promotes hair growth.
2. The scent of the oil is a strong Rosemary ‘fragrance’ that lingers quite awhile in the hair.
3. The spout on the bottle is not a dropper; it pours the oil out. I guess this is for those who use it as a mask, but if you only want to use a few drops as a grooming aid, be careful because you can easily pour way too much.

I have been looking for a hair oil just like this for a long time. I have really coarse, colored hair with dry ends. I’ve tried a lot of oils, both silicone and non-silicone. They either left my hair looking too greasy, bad-smelling or with silicones that was hard to wash out (and eventually left my ends even drier) . This oil is silicone-free which is great. My hair looks a bit greasy at first but then sinks into my hair and leaves it smooth. It use it before I go to bed, and then in the morning the greasiness is gone. You can also use the oil all over your hair as a hair mask, however I haven’t tried this yet so I don’t know how hard it is to wash out. I will update this review after I try that.
I understand that the scent can be too much for some people, therefore I recommend sniffing it in a shop before purchasing. It has a strong, mellow scent, like rosemary and pinewood. Personally, I love it. After it sinks into the hair the smell goes away almost completely unless you sniff the hair really close. When I go swimming and my hair gets wet the scent comes back a little.
The packaging is not that good, too much oil comes out at a time. I find the design of all Weleda products kind of ugly and outdated but of course that does not affect the product itself. I like that it’s a glass bottle, it’s not as easy not take with you as a plastic one but the feel is more luxurious.
I do find it a bit pricey, In my country (Sweden) the product is about 8 $ for 1,7 fl oz.
I use this together with the Weleda Revitalising Hair Tonic, they have a similar scent and work very well together.

I have medium/fine wavy hair, I’ve been trying to get back to my natural color after a wildchild phase of every cut and color under the sun. Most products work sub-par for me at best, but the Rosemary Oil is pretty fantastic. Leave this oily conditioner on over night, washed out with Redken shampoo/conditioner and seriously amazing results- super shiny and healthy feeling, this is the only product that has gone above my expectations, and the smell ( obviously if you like rosemary) is earthy and lovely. I’m pretty obsessed, this is the best my hair has been since it was 100% natural.

I had my hair bleached and it was totally damaged and fried. I left this serum on for 2 days and washed it out this evening and my hair which had previously lost its curl, had life again. Quality ingredients, not silicone junk. Would re buy.

I have used this for about 2 years… I will use it every few months as a treat for my hair for deep conditioning – especialy on the ends.
I will put it in clean hair over night with a hair cap.
Next morning it is super greasy and I will wash it out.
And let is air dry.
Leaves my hair beautifully soft!
My girlfriend does the same thing. Same results.
Wonnnderful scent of rosemary.
Super love.

I use this as a treatment for itchy winter scalp/mild psoriasis. I section my hair, apply the oil to my scalp and give it a real good massage. I leave it on from as little as an hour, to overnight depending on how busy I am. I wash and condition like normal. The first day my roots get really oily by the end of the day, but after the next wash they are back to normal.
This leaves my scalp itch free and feeling less tight and dry. It’s pretty much the only thing that works. I’ve tried using straight peanut oil with a drop of rosemary EO but it didn’t work as well. It conditions my hair nicely, but I wouldn’t purchase it solely for that.

I bought this because I read somewhere that it helps hair loss. I have used it for some months and it definitely doesn’t work. When I tried mixing this with a hair oil I know does help hair loss, the other oil lost its effect! The only thing this does is leave me with a smell I don’t like and a residue I can’t manage to wash out because the oil is so thick. This was an absolute waste of time and money for me.
UPDATE:
Of course, I didn’t want to just throw the bottle, so I used this as a hair mask. When I took off my turbie twist and plastic foil, my hair felt nasty – oily and stiff at the same time (I believe olive oil would have given the same feeling though)Because this is VERY oily, I added baking soda to my shampoo, then used vinegar as a first conditioner. I’m not that natural when it comes to many other things, but baking powder followed with vinegar is great when I need to wash something reeeeally sticky out of my hair. Still, my hair felt very stiff and glued together – at this point I was a little afraid I wouldn’t manage to wash this out of my hair. I figured out I should just calm down and put my regular conditioner all over my hair. Then something almost magical: my hair suddenly relaxed. After this I added a little bit of It’s a 10 Leave-in conditioner, and my hair felt very silky. Trying the oil like this was definitely a good idea for the event I was going to, BUT, it took about 1/2 of the bottle of this for my normal thickness, waist-long hair… and this oil isn’t very cheap. As I said, I haven’t tried olive oil for my hair, neither have I tried coconut oil for it, but if they do as well as this, the Weleda hair oil is a huge waste of money as a hair mask. Therefore I gave it only one more star.

I REALLY wanted to like this hair oil. I’ve been looking for a more natural product to have in my hair after a shower, or before I went to bed for more hydration. I was expecting it be more oily, but sadly it was just scented water!! The consistency is seriously like water. I have tried this product for quite awhile now and it just does nothing. I guess it makes my hair smell nice (if you like the smell). I will use up the rest of my bottle, and look for another alternative.
