   I have a pretty oily scalp, so dry shampoo is a staple for me. I stick with mostly non-aerosol types because it lasts longer and therefore ultimately cheaper in the long run, and there’s less waste!

   Even though my wallet disagrees, my hair seems to love Bumble and Bumble products, it works like magic on my hair. This was almost HG for me, but not quite. Visually, it’s works perfectly! It absorbs the oil really well and continues to keep it at bay, there’s no white residue, gives some lift and volume and makes my second/sometimes third hair day look great.

   Unfortunately, it feels really really heavy and tacky on my scalp. It doesn’t feel very comfortable to have on, and even though it doesn’t look oilier, my hair feels crazy oily. I have to constantly check my reflection in the mirror to make sure it only feels that way, and not looks that way.

   The packaging is also pretty good, the hole for dispensing the product is small so it’s easy to distribute evenly. However, it sometimes gets a little clogged up, I just take a pin and poke it to unclog it.

   I wouldn’t mind repurchasing again, despite the uncomfortable tackiness, it still works better than most dry shampoos I’ve tried! However, in the mean time, I will still be on the lookout for my HG dry shampoo.

   My experience with dry shampoos is very limited because I always just go ahead and wash my hair if it seems flat or dirty, I don’t do much styling because I am lazy and the same goes with using products. But I am determined to find a way to give my fine hair some body and am finally listening to others when they say that I gotta use hair product to give my hair some texture. And hats are not my friend.
   So this product was one of three travel sized items I quickly grabbed before leaving on a trip where I would be doing a lot of outdoor activities in the cold and need to overcome some greasy hat head issues. One day, instead of washing my hair, I sprinkled a little of this powder here & there and massaged it in well with my fingertips, then brushed with a nylon/boar combo brush to get any residue out. I thought it did a great job of making my hair look clean! Once I got to somewhere indoors I took my hat off and did a quick massage and what do you know, it fluffed my hair up! I am happy with this. It did exactly as promised and it smells nice too, when I run my fingers through and smell the scent is very subtle like it would be when freshly washed. I say at this time I would repurchase, but will try to do so when I can catch it on sale because it’s $$$

   I think anyone that has rated this positively has not tried other dry shampoos. I have tried about ten, and this is one of the worst. Even just cornstarch is better than this. My fave is Klorane.

   I have been using this product for years and always have one in my hair/makeup stash. My hair is fine and oily, and second-day hair is usually not a good look – unless I use this. The container seems small but a little goes a long way. The instructions are important – dab some at the roots and then massage lightly as if you’re shampooing your hair. Without doing that the product may just sit on your scalp and absorb a little oil and add volume. But actually massaging it gives next-level volume that mimics freshly washed hair. It adds a little extra residue to wash out later, but not as bad as some other dry shampoos I’ve used. The scent is also nice – slightly powdery and green, not overwhelmingly chemical-y like some others.

   I recognize that because the product is largely talc you can get a similar effect using baby powder, at a much lower cost. The benefit of this powder is that it doesn’t leave a dull or white-ish residue that baby powder can, and that it adds extra volume. So overall I think this product is worth it, if you have the money to spend. But with baby powder you can certainly get some of the same effect, for like one tenth of the price.

   i am very oily.It is my solution to greasiness.For years i have been suffering due to oily hair.i had to wash them every day.Then i started to dye my hair.The roots were better but not the fringe.Then my sister bought it last January and i was so happy.I don’t look so bad and i don’t have to wash my hair every day.Unfortunately,it is a bit expensive.So i won’t buy it again cause i found Batiste which is a lot cheaper

   I was not very pleased with this product. I have just-past-shoulder length wavy dark brown hair that is medium thickness but losses volume quickly. I also have psoriasis on my scalp so I cannot wash my hair more than 2 times a week as it irritates my scalp but my hair begins to look greasy on the second day after a wash. At first, I was very excited to try this as aerosol dry shampoos always left my hair feeling gross and the amount of product for the money was litlle. I had read reviews (good & bad) and decided to try my luck with this powder. I was happy-ish with this product for the first week or two after purchasing because it blended nicely, didn’t smell and I still had a lot of product left but sadly, the longer I used it, the worse I felt about it. I started noticing that I needed more and more product throughout the day, like it wasn’t lasting, and that it did nothing as far as ‘texturizing’ or add any volume. It also left a great deal of buildup, even if I had only used it one day and only sparingly on my roots.

   After a month, I have decided to try other products. As the bottle is small enough, I will likely still keep it in my makeup bag for emergencies but I will not be using this as my regular go-to any longer 🙁

   Dry shampoos were just becoming a major thing when I purchased Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder. Since then, just about every hair care line has expanded its range to include a dry shampoo, but I always come back this one. First and foremost it is my favorite because of the incredible volume it gives my fine, limp hair, especially at the crown. I also love that it absorbs the excess oil from my oily scalp, letting me put off shampooing and ultimately preserving my hair color longer.

   Pret a Powder is pricey, but I purchased my bottle a while ago (1 year? 2?) and it’s still half full after almost daily use. Just a sprinkle at my roots does the trick. It’s white and the color does show, so I sprinkle it on under the top layer of hair then gently massage in with fingers. Yes, the strong rose-violet scent is cloying and I wish Bumble and Bumble would turn the down volume on it, but it’s not a deal-breaker.

   I love this dry shampoo. It dries my oily hair and adds volume. Great for in between days. It was a gift but I will replace it for sure.

   I swear I don’t complain just to complain, but this product does NOT work. The label on this product says it extends the life of your blowout, adds volume, and absorbs oil. It did none of that. The only thing I liked about this product is that it fades away on my dark brown roots and doesn’t look like dandruff or dusty even though the powder is white. I love dry shampoo and wanted to use one that is not in “spray” form but I will stick to my Batiste dry shampoo which costs 1/3 of this product.

   On the Sephora website, this had glowing reviews but when I checked here, it was average. I should’ve known better to check MakeupAlley first since the reviews here are more unbiased than from Sephora.

    This is perfumed corn starch. A nice smelling corn starch, but way overpriced. I do like how it fluffs up my hair a little. I use it right after I blow dry to give it more body and extend my blow out. It’s very expensive fo what it is but I kind of like it enough to maybe try the travel size again. I would never buy the regualr size for the price, though.
