I would give this product a solid 3 lippies. It’s okay but I didn’t like it enough to repurchase. Not moisturizing enough to be called a hair mask. Not a miracle worker for $25 a tub. Other masks on the market work better and are at the same or even lower price range. I also didn’t like it comes in tub because I have it hold it carefully so that I don’t drop it in the shower. I prefer a tube for that reason. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend. The last hair mask I tried was “It’s a 10” hair mask and it was really nice, much better than this product.

Giving this a 3.5/5, I’m not sure how I feel about it compared to other deep conditioners. So it works fairly well with continued use, leaves my hair fairly soft and healthy. It’s not a miracle, won’t take my hair from extreme damage to workable, (redken mega mask did do that) but for daily use it does work. It’s rather expensive but I like how much slip it has and that it’s not overly scented. Unsure about a repurchase, put as a yes for now but likely will go back to Matrix conditioning balm for my daily needs.

This “hair pak” has been around for a long time and when I first started using it about 15 years ago I liked it well enough and repurchased a few times over the years. It is a thick white cream with very subtle smell and it comes in a practical standard tub with a screw top. I usually leave the product on my hair for about 15-20 minutes and rinse it out well. On my over shoulder length fine hair it performs reasonably well in making my hair soft to the touch but in reality not much else. Over the years I have clearly found better alternatives at a lower price point in drugstores for instance from L’Oréal as well as high end products such as Rahua, Kérastase and Oribe.
The Kiehl’s product does not add shine nor body to my hair, so at $25 a tub I will not continue to repurchase.

I don’t know what to make of this hair pak/mask. It does help smooth the hair and make it somewhat softer, but it does little in way of moisturizing and reducing brittleness/stiffness. It also does not work particularly well in areas or strands of my hair that are drier or have sustained more damage. In fact, I still have to apply hair serum, oil, or leave in conditioner after using this product. I also have tried using it after using regular shampoo and conditioner, mixed with my regular conditioner, even over my regular conditioner. Did not do much for the really damaged areas. I used it once a week and shampoo my hair every other day or every two days for a couple of months – I figured the affects were cumulative.
Though, I have not been particularly impressed and would not consider buying this again.

i think that this is quite a decent hair mask, conditioned my damaged hair & made it super smooth! i got a sample of this and after trying it of course i went and purchase one. it’s super conditioning and works wonder on my hair, however somehow i’ll not repurchase it as i don’t see much improvement, prefer other hair products.

My hair is long and thick and I’ve tried almost every brand out there, none of the deep conditioners I have tried have worked any better than my normal conditioner. One day, I walked past a Kiehls counter where they were giving out free samples that matched your skin type etc. I did the test and the girl gave me two of the Olive Fruit OIl Repairative Hair Pak samples in addition to the skin care samples. The next time I took a shower I used the samples after shampooing my hare. I let it sit for 4 or 5 minutes and washed it out without any high expectations.
But O-M-G. I let it dry naturally (I dont like using blowdryers because I find it makes my hair look really bad) and it was 100% tanglefree, shinier than ever, not frizzy at all and so soft, all I wanted to do was to touch my hair all the time. I also received alot of compliments on how shiny and healthylooking my hair was, even from strangers! 😀 The price is a little high but if you dont use a handful at a time, it will last you a long time.
I LOVE THIS!

This makes my hair so soft. I am using it once a week for 10 minutes at a time and it is making a difference in the health of my hair. I have fine colour treated hair that gets heat styled a few times a week and this restores it. Worth the money and it really does work.
One of the best hair masks I’ve tried and I have tried many.

Very nourishing mask without leaving residue. Gave my hair extreme shine. Worth the money. Will buy again.

This is a fairly good hair mask, but if you looking for full repair I’d recommend using apricot kernel oil. It absorbs right into hair and damage disappears! Seriously my hair has never looked so healthy and shiny. Better than coconut oil which is just greasy and slides off your hair. I would not call this product AMAZING.

I’m on my second jar of this product. I have very frizzy coars hair and whenever I do this treatment, it makes my hair so soft. If you have very fine hair, it may be to heavy, but I love it. Especially after a clarifying shampoo. I have curly/wavy hair and with this mask I can let it airdry and still look cute. I use it once a week or every other week or so.

A friend gave me this product as a gift. I used it and at first thought it was ok but not really worth the price tag. I was much more impressed with it however on the second use. I had spent the summer in Spain in temperatures of 40 celsius and my hair was literally frazzled from the lethal combination of the sun/heat and a lack of heat protection spray for use with my straighteners. I used it after my normal Pantene shampoo and conditioner and left it for about ten minutes. After leaving my hair as usual to dry naturally, it was in much better condition and my hair felt much softer and completely nourished. It is expensive and for this reason, I wouldn’t purchase it often. If I needed a quick solution for damaged hair however, I would definitely buy again!

In my early twenties I had super-abused my hair with a bad dye and poor chemical “fix” and thought I’d just have to chop my long hair and start over. My future mother-in-law said she’d told the “lady at the dept store counter what I’d done” and bought me this. And so began a love affair with this pak and an introduction to products which can’t be bought at the drugstore. I’ve used it for years now and it’s my sole conditioner. I’ve recently gone “no-poo” (so unfortunately named) and so I only use a baking soda rinse (1tsp bs to 1c h2o) in place of shampoo every other day and apply this from nape down after that for two minutes. My long, now naturally honey-colored hair is luxurious and happy. Best. Conditioner. Ever. And when the no-poo “shampoo” is essentially a penny, this tub is easily a worthwhile splurge.
