I have fine and really frizzy dry damaged hair. I dye my gray hair every 3-4wks. My friend suggested I use tresemme product. I went to the store and there’s lots of choices I do not know which one so I grabbed the 7day cause I like the soft tubes they come with. It had been almost a week and after 3 uses really saw an improvement. My hair feels smooth and look fuller and shinier. As I read on I realized there is a cream I should apply before using a flat iron. I was only using the shampoo and conditioner combo so far coz I do not have time to flat iron before heading to work. So today I bought the 3rd set which is the keratin cream, I’ll try them all together on weekend and see how my hair look flat ironed. But so far my hair is nicer just using shampoo and conditioner combo.

I love the shampoo and conditioner but its the treatment that I don’t like. I applied it yesterday and as I had to go out in the rain yesterday only for a few minutes my hair was frizzy again. This morning I woke and my hair is as curly as ever. Sometimes this happens when I have a product on my hair. This has definitely not smoothed my hair for 7 days. Although I will say my hair is shiny when using this.

I loved this stuff. I don’t like to mess with a flat iron every day, so when I do, it’s a big deal. I got so many compliments the day I used this kit, and I bought more of the serum after I used it up. It does leave behind product, but that’s kind of the point. If you’re the type of person who wants a clean, silicone free experience, this is not for you. If you want to flat iron your hair and see it perfectly straight with no frizz or fly ways, this is the set of magical potions you need.
People asked me if I spent hundreds at a salon for a treatment. Apparently there’s a lady at work who has similar hair who did just that. Everyone thought I did what she did, but hey guess what? She’s a director, and I’m a small fry with a MUCH smaller income. I guess my hair was so shiny and smooth that everyone thought I spent a lot on it.
I love this stuff for special occasions when I really need to look polished. For daily use, I just use the regular Keratin Smooth shampoo and conditioner, and do a quick blowdry. However, if I have a presentation, I’ll bust out with the 7 day serum and the flat iron and really get all those little hairs to lay flat.

I think that your hair type and condition of your hair will determine how effective this product is. I have fine, dry, straight hair that likes to frizz given any opportunity. All the products contain keratin and silicones. Has a light, pleasant scent that does not linger all day. The shampoo cleanses well and does not dry out my hair. Both the conditioner and the leave-in heat activated treatment do leave my hair feeling smooth and do help prevent frizz. It does keep my hair smooth, but it also makes it feel greasy, limp and unable to hold curl in my hair. So for me, this is not a good product.

I tried it this week and didn’t work for me and dried my wavy hair looking like I went through hell . Diff not worth time or effort . Good was only $7*

This review is for the whole TRESemmé 7days Keratin smooth system, so the conditioner, the shampoo and the heat activated treatment.
First of all, I have long hair, almost to my butt, color-treated for the ear down, wavy but mostly straight. The roots get greasy on the third day but the ends are dry and prone to breaking and they knot a lot.
I got a lot of samples for this product. I got about 2-3 foils packets and also the whole system full size. The system is great but be prepared to feel like your hair is coated and touch weird. It looks pretty when you are not touching it, I got some compliments on my beautiful hair, but in the same time they touched weird and plastic. The smell of the product is great and the feeling is great too. Overall, it’s not a bad product, it’s just not an everyday product. I would use for an event where I wanted really sleek and soft and shiny hair, but not everyday, because they feel so coated.

Whether this product will work for you is a roll of the dice — it all depends on your hair type and the climate you live in. It did not work for me at all, but a friend of mine had great results with this product. I’ll explain how it worked for each of us.
Me: I have thick, coarse hair (and a lot of it) that is naturally wavy. Length is to the middle of my back. I never dye my hair and don’t heat style it too often (so it is not damaged). Even though I live in a dry climate that has nearly no humidity, my hair still frizzes, is on the dry side and I get a lot of flyaways as a result.
Her: Shoulder length, stick-straight hair that is thinner than mine. She dyes her hair often, so it is porous and damaged.
This product coats my hair and makes it feel extremely heavy — it left a slick layer of film on my hair. The directed amount to use (number of pumps) is clearly too heavy for coarse hair, so I could only imagine what it would do to someone with fine, thin hair.
I would not use this product in a humid climate — I suspect the product would bead off were it to come into contact with any moisture.
In the end, this product did nothing for me. I saw no change in frizziness, flyaways were still there. My hair just felt heavy and unclean.
My friend however, had no flyaways and really enjoyed this product. But her hair is straight.
The verdict: This will make straight hair smoother, but will do NOTHING if you have any bend, shape or wave in your hair.
This product is affordable enough that if you don’t care for it you’re not wasting too much money.

I have very porus fine hair and it just frizzes and curls in humidity above 50 %. I live in South Florida which in summer makes a good hair day impossible. Last summer I had a professional Keratin treatment done for the 1st time. It was ok but still a little disappointed that it didnt keep my bangs straight for very long. Maybe lasted 1 week. I started using the TRESsemme 7 day Keratin shampoo and really like how my hair responed. After getting coupons and a sale at my local grocery chain I purchaed the conditioner and Heat acitvated treament. It has been life changing. ABSOLUTLY LOVE THESE PRODUCTS !!!! My hair is responding better than with the professional treatment. The humidity has kicked up and my hair is soft ,silky, frizz free and staight !I was using John Fredia 3 day straight spray but there is no comparision. A definite recomend !!!

I’m annoyed I can’t leave zero lippies for this product. It does nothing that it claims. This is a basic shampoo, basic conditioner, and ineffective ‘treatment’.
