I’m liking this! But I’m not sure what it’s supposed to do. Goldwell describes the purpose of this potion is to “Reactivate the freshly-washed hair scent, mask and protect against unpleasant odors, and provide a silky hair feel, a touch of shine and prevent static.” I found that it’s basically a silkening agent with a very pleasant smell. In fact, I bought it for the smell. I tried the scent Oriental (gold/brown bottle) at my salon and noticed it smelled very much like VS Amber Romance (super sweet, vanilliac, sugar, amber-ish), but didn’t make me sick (big bonus for not making me sick!). Anyway, I like sweet, gourmand scents but usually something in them provokes a migraine. I noticed this didn’t and it smelled delightful, which was an immediate sale for me. This scent does fade fast though. You won’t be wafting it all day. Anyway, it does seem to have some softening, silkening properties as well as not creating a build-up feel. It has mild detangling abilities, but won’t replace a devoted detangler. If you are into hair perfumes but are generally fragrance sensitive, this line is worth checking out. Don’t buy in your salon. They are nearly half the price on Amazon (about $21.00). Little glass bottles are super cute and easy to travel with. I took one lippie off because I think it could do more for the hair, such as detangle or heat protect etc.
