This shampoo save my life. I am 23 years old and my skin is greasy also my scalp, with any other shampoo my hair looks greasy just hours after shower and never e feels quite clean even when im washing it. With herbal essences shampoo, I only take half the time washing my hair in the shower cause it feels CLEAN INMEDIATELLY and it last two days with no grease in my scalp. I would never use other shampoo unless I ran out and cant go to Walmart to buy it AND I think that any other shampoo that is transparent will work the same on greasy hair but Im lazy to go and search another. I recommed it to my sisters, and friends and any other girl that I talk with.. thats how much I like it.

I bought this purely for nostalgic purposes, and because I was leaving for vacation and had to keep my budget within its strict limits. I smelled this and was immediately transported back to the 8th grade! However, I clearly was remembering the 8th grade and this shampoo by looking through a rose-colored bottle. Middle school sucked, and so does this shampoo/conditioner. My hair is fine, and it is winter, so I can expect to wash every other day. Using this shampoo makes my hair greasier than it ever has before, which I can only suspect is due to the fact that it has dried the hell out of my scalp. My scalp has been flaky and itchy, yet I am also getting a lot of breakouts (the fun, painful zits you find when brushing your hair!) and finding that my hair looks as though I haven’t washed it in a week within 8 hours of actually bathing. The ends of my hair are lifeless and dull. It has stripped out most of my hair color. I can’t wait to throw this in a time machine back to 2004 where it belongs. Or, in the meantime, a trash can will do.

Ok, I am probably a tad bit older than most Herbal Essences users, but I used this in the 90s and it was my favorite shampoo. They discontinued it, and I moved on to other, more expensive shampoo and conditioner. However, when I saw this back at Target, I scooped up a couple of bottles. Turns out I love it just as much now as I did then! In fact, I have a shower full of salon and sulfate-free shampoos, and I am always reaching for my Herbal Essences. This still leaves my hair soft, shiny, and clean, even after repeated use. I don’t think it strips my hair more than any other shampoo; in fact, I think it’s just the act of washing period that leads to color fading eventually. I hope this never gets discontinued again!

I remember my mom used to buy this back in the day & I was obsessed with the scent! It smells so good it actually does leave my hair smooth. I have no need for my detangling spray. I don’t always reach out for this because sometimes I need extra hydration & I like to switch it up. If you have normal hair I think this is for you

I wanted to compare this to matrix volume rose. Funny this did not smooth my hair but gave me volume. Go figure. Matrix Volume rose really smooths better than this! This is less conditioning and more harsh but a good alternative if you want the rose scent. This shampoo/conditioner is lightweight which is a plus

So happy this shampoo and conditioner have been brought back. This is a nice, basic shampoo which cleans hair nicely and rinses cleanly, without being too heavy, and without making my fine/ wavy hair too dry. It has a fruity scent to me. Mostly apple. If anyone is familiar with Victoria’s Secret Endless Love, it’s similar to that. I don’t think it smells like rose at all, I have a couple of rose scented conditioners (Shiseido rosarium, Anna Sui rose), which smell like authentic rose.. it says rose hips on the bottle, and if anyone if familiar with rose hips tea, it’s apple with maybe a hint of that, and a touch citrus. ,One of the best shampoo scents out here to my nose.
This is called “smooth” collection, I don’t think this is really a “smoothing” shampoo, it’s more of a basic, frequent use shampoo for fine/ oilier hair types. Build up sensitive individuals might still need to clarify once in a while, because even though this doesn’t contain silicones, it has a couple of other ingredients that can potentially build up. Excellent product.

omg! it made my hair so smooth, silky and gorgeous just after one wash. I’m going to use this shampoo forever now.
This is my Holy grail shampoo! I have very sensitive hair and scalp and this is the only shampoo that makes my hair soft and manageable. Please do not discontinue this!

This product is a miracle on my hair. I am from Japanese and Indian descent so I have quite straight hair which sometimes although not as of lately, can be stravy. It gets frizzy when not sorted out with a heat tool. I have hair that is manageable, it doesn’t tangle so much and if I blow dry it it looks straightened most the time (apart from my fringe). However.. some shampoos make my hair frizzy, so when it is blow-dried, I have to go over it with a hair straightener. A vast majority of shampoos do this to my hair, especially volume related formulations.
This is perfect. It takes all the frizz away, leaving my hair soft and smooth. Also, very silky. I do not have to use any heat tools to get my hair straight other than a blow drier. My hair smells amazing afterwards too. My only complaint is that the smell does not last.
I think this is a good shampoo for people who generally have a straight hair type. I am not sure if it would work so well on curly/wavy haired girls/boys.

Just to start off I am bias because, it turns out I love the smell of rose, and the fragrance featured in here is …rose.
This tells a cute tale on the back of the bottle about Greek lore. It is not really important , but it is nice to learn about.
When I was using this I was a strawberry blonde , and redheads have a hard time retaining color due to the molecule size of the hair. I found this to be a little more gentle for my hair because it had a red tint that would deposit some color as some left whilst I shampooed.
The scent is not too strong – it smells more like a ‘rosa gallica’ parfum than a ‘rosa centifola’, the latter which I find to be more strong.
This does have ‘methylinothiazalone’ and, ‘methylisothiazolinoline’ which are strong irritants. if you have a sensitive scalp I recommend avoiding this,

This is quite nice actually. I’m happy to use this when not using Kerastase. I like the conditioner too, it really untangles and moisturises my hair. I believe the new version has no silicones which is an added bonus. It’s also great value. In my opinion the old herbal essences range is by far better quality and more reliable than any of the new range. I find they either leave your hair dry, or greasy. The new zero sulphate range left my hair like absolute straw. Luckily I only used it whilst round a friends, and hadn’t bought it, otherwise it would have gone straight in the bin.
