I and MANY OTHERS on the Internet think certain hair products have a DISTINCT odor. I will say this conditioner smelled that very way—awful. So bad that I am taking it back. My husband asked me never to use it again.
Also, I find Shea Naturals shea butter (not the coconut) to have this same, DISTINCT, horrible scent.

Good value! Lacks THAT tresemme smell that makes me nauseous, actually smells rather nice, an expensive vanilla kind of smell. It leaves my hair really soft, smooth, and nicely scented.
My only gripe is that even with very dry, frizzy hair, this set is too moisturizing. But on the other hand, this means I can actually skip conditioner on the top part of my head and use it from the ears down, like ”they” often tell you to. This isn’t possible with any other product I’ve found! If I ignore it though, I’ll be greasy by Day 2.
Very well formulated, I’m just as satisfied with it as I am most proper salon shampoos. Unlike the basic Tresemme, this really does look, feel, perform, and smell ”salon quality”.

I love the smell of these! I picked up both the shampoo and conditioner for less than $10 for the huge bottles. The shampoo is ok. I think it’s a little too moisturizing for my hair as it left my roots too greasy. I like to wash my hair every 3-4 days and with this by day 2 I felt my roots looked too dirty so for that reason I wouldn’t repurchase. The conditioner is amazing though. It left my hair soft and smooth without being weighed down. The scent lingers too which is nice. Overall good products and I will certainly re purchase the conditioner.

I am so happy Tresemme finally made some new scents for their products!
I was so tired of their scent. I could not use any of their products because they would make my stomach turn.
This line has a nice soft sweet scent to it.
It is pleasant…still not on my favorite list but it’s nice.
The shampoo and conditioner worked well and my hair did not get as oily as quickly.
However, I never noticed any improvement in the look or condition of my hair but it did an okay job as a basic cleanser and conditioner.
One thing that was surprising was that it gave my hair lots of volume and made it very fluffy and poufy which I did not care for it at all.
The conditioner detangled my hair a fair amount.
If you have healthy hair I think this would be a fine line but if you have damaged or frizzy hair I would pass.

This shampoo/conditioner combo is a great value. I paid less than $5 for each of them and the bottles are quite large (25fl oz). The scent of these is right up my alley… nutty and slightly sweet.
I liked the way this stuff jived with my hair on some days and not on others. My hair felt clean, soft, and smooth the day after washing. I tend to wash my hair every day so it was usually fine. However, one day without washing and it would be a greasy mess. I can go a few days without washing and have my hair look progressively better each day with the right shampoo/conditioner combo, but that’s not what happened with these products. At the same time, somehow, my scalp would often get flaky and dry while using these. Oily hair and a dry scalp… not a good time!!
I used these up entirely and while doing so, came to think it was just my hair and scalp being problematic and not the fault of these products. But as soon as I started using a different kind of shampoo and conditioner, my hair went back to being non-oily and my scalp went back to being non-flaky.
I give this three lippies because it smells good and does clean my hair and leave it feeling soft. But there are other products out there that I can use and not have to deal with the cons that came along for me when using the TRESemme Expert Selection Botanique line.

This is for the conditioner. It has a creamy consistency and is perfect for co-washing and as a rinse out. It has loads of slip and softens very well. I was very impressed on how nice my hair air dried. It has a nice scent and rinses clean.

Well, to be honest, i never cared for most of Tresseme BUT this one us excellent! The smell is light enough that it will not bother me and my hair looks good and healthy! I even tried the reverse method of conditioning first with good results. My hair is not under or over moisturized and it brings out the shine. Like the other reviewer I been using mostly salon brands and this is better ( other than Paul Mitchel that I love) I can not say anything bad about this product

I’ve recently started trying out some drugstore shampoo and conditions (and styling products) pretty much just out of curiosity. I’ve been using different salon and high end hair care products for sometime, but I love to look at the thousands of different shampoos and conditions at the drugstore anytime I am wandering the aisles! So many colours! So many smells! So many claims! And well, seems like prices aren’t too shabby (obviously because it’s drugstore) Anyway, that led me to try out this new line from TRESemme: their Damage and Recovery line. I got the Macadamia oil one. There is another which is Coconut. But because I’m very picky about my coconut smells, I went with this one instead – I loved the way it smelled in comparison. I actually was not 100% sold on this, and I went back to the drugstore the day after and bought it. The price was about $3.99 (on sale) and I believe the TRESemme line usually doesn’t surpass $7 or $8 normally, so even at that rate you wouldn’t be breaking the bank. I figured if I absolutely hated it, my only regret would be that I’d have two massive bottles of product to get rid of. But….I actually was so surprised at how much I love this stuff! It smells so amazing! The oil spray actually reminds me so much of the Pink Sugar perfume (I have another review of a different shampoo which also makes me think of that scent…for some reason that must be a selling point for me for some reason?? Ha)
The conditioner makes my hair feel exceptionally soft and fluffy when it’s dry. I find the shampoo very moisturizing, which feels pretty good for my sometimes straw like hair. I think this line will stay in my bathroom in my regular shampoo and conditioner rotation. Also, it’s awesome to see that it has NO PARABENS! Very happy I’ve tried this line.
