I bought this in a 2-pack for $10, so it was an exceptional deal. I have used cleansing conditioners of varying brands in the past, so I’m familiar with them. For reference, my hair is extremely thick and coarse, wavy/frizzy, and tends to be dry. This product is for coarse hair, and I do find that it smooths my hair nicely, probably due to the amodimethicone. I even sometimes use a partial pump as a leave-in conditioner/styling product, which helps my hair dry smooth & also really cuts my blowdry time. This cleansing conditioner works well, my hair feels clean and not stripped, soft, and my hair is smooth. However, this product has one major flaw, and that is the “avocado” scent. It is extremely strong, and it smells exactly – and I stress *EXACTLY* – like Deep Woods Off. Yes, the bug spray. I don’t notice it after I rinse & dry my hair, so I can’t say that it lingers, but it’s not really a scent I appreciate in a grooming product. If you’re not familiar with that product, the scent may not bother you.

I got this on sale. I have fine to medium hair. I got this for the others have a too strong of a scent.
This worked for my fine hair but beware do not add any leave in conditioners or oils for it will be too much. This really, really conditions.
It smells light, earthy. Rinses out very well

This stuff is amazing. I have curly, frizzy, fine, thin confused hair that has to be babied. My hair is confused because it has tight ringlets in one area, no curl in some, and waves in others. It has always been a mess.
I have tried everything on the market with no results.
I got a book on how to care for naturally curly hair and it instructed to stop using all shampoos, no matter how fancy or what they claim. They strip your hair of oils, period.
It said to use a cleansing conditioner everyday and then a good conditioner on top of that and to not rinse that out all the way, to rinse until it feels slimy. This works!
I was using the ION extreme cleansing conditioner, which they have stopped making to my dismay. I don’t know what to get now. I added the Biolage , using it once a week, and the other everyday.
What a difference the Biolage makes. My hair is supper soft, not dry at all, and clean.
Without my other cleansing conditioner that I use on top of the Biolage it is a bit more frizzy and the curl isn’t defined. but other than that this stuff really works and is worth the cost.
I have tried all 3, fine, course and medium and have the same results. Awesome.

NAAAHHHH…. I bought the acai one for medium hair and followed the directions on the bottle with the exception of using a couple of more pumps than indicated (because it just didn’t seem like 2 or 3 were enough) and then completely and thoroughly rinsed it out. I then put my hair in a loose topknot and went to bed. It claims to cleanse, condition and defrizz so I decided not to layer any other products on top so that I can see the genuine results that this product gave to my hair. When I got up the next day my hair was semi dry but man o man did it feel greasy and even dirtier than before I had even washed it! I returned it the next day and exchanged it for Bain de Terre’s phyto keratin 5 in 1 cleansing conditioner which left my hair feeling squeaky clean, soft to the touch and healthier. and it was much cheaper to. Ion’s extreme cleansins conditioner sold at sally’s was another cheaper and better option to. Another thing I disliked about the biolage one was that despite it being more expensive it didn’t have much (or any for that matter) of the “healthy ingredients” for your hair.
yeah it smelled nice and the packaging was cute, but really thats about it…
so all in all…It’s a No from me

I am trying really hard to like this! I read all the reviews so I know that it takes some jiggery pokery and that I have to use it a few times as well. That said, I do have kind of course, color treated hair and I don’t wash too often to begin with. My hair is kind of dry but I do get a lot of build up from sweat and whatever so I do need a shampoo to get a clean feeling. This had good reviews so I picked it up.
I heard to alternate with clarifying (which I really have to do, especially now) but I used only this a few times so my hair could adjust, which other reviewers suggested. Well, I’m not sure if it has, or if this is just not for my hair type.
On the pro side, it smells really nice, and my hair feels soft…and it doesn’t strip color which is great but I also feel weighed down and greasy. I didn’t use too much and I did make sure to get in the back and roots and let it sit and rinsed well but it still didn’t seem to attack my buildup. It’s only the day after washing and my roots feel REALLY greasy and heavy. Noooottt good. Like when I run my fingers through they get greasy and I even tried to really rub my scalp well in the shower, like this didn’t come off my head well. I will try this again next time after maybe a vinegar rinse, but it’s so hard for me to find a shampoo that keeps me feeling clean yet soft. 🙁
I will update after more time, I just wanted to give the impression I got from the first few times. Right now I feel like I’d maybe keep it as a freshen up wash between regular washes, (which means washing more often, because normally “between washes” for me means I don’t wash my hair at all……so essentially it’s kind of pointless for me) but I would see myself needing a stronger shampoo most of the time and this less frequently. I doubt I’d repurchase though. If after clarifying I still have a lot of buildup when I use it again I’d return it. I’m itching to return it already…just two days after washing my hair looked like it hadn’t been washed in a month. Felt like it too. uuughh
I couldn’t do it!! I couldn’t use it one more time!! Returrnnedddd. I’d rather my Suave almond and shea! AHH. I don’t mind dying my hair often, since I get bored of colors quickly anyway…at least it’s clean now! 😛

My mother is a cosmetologist, and she got a free sample of this for me to try. I have, thick, coarse, wavy hair that gets greasy at the roots and dry at the ends. When I first tried it, I was disappointed. My hair was greasy the next day, so I thought this didn’t work well with my hair type.
I ended up trying it again to see if maybe I used it incorrectly. I got the big bottle of it without a pump, which was cheaper to get at that size than the smaller one. I’m so glad I tried it again because it’s working beautifully with my hair! Since my hair is long, I use about a handfull of it, which works great if I massage it into my scalp for a couple minutes and leave it in my hair while I clean other parts of my body. It makes my hair feel soooo soft and smooth once it dries. If you easily get greasy hair like I do, I recommend alternating it with regular shampoo and conditioner. Since I’ve been using this regularly, my scalp actually gets LESS greasy than it used to!
Another thing I should add is how I love the smell. I think it smells so good because it has avocado in it.
