A favourite. I’ve repurchased this shampoo many times despite living in a country where it’s near impossible to get. It suits my sensitive skin and in combination with the conditioner it calms my “not quite curls, not quite straight” -hair.
Also, incidentally, it has nearly eliminated my husband’s dandruff problem, which was a bit surprising seeing as he had been using anti-dandruff shampoos before – to no avail.
I don’t really have any cons, except maybe the scarcity of the stuff here in Scandinavia.

I have long hair, that is fine and has oily roots. My skin is ultra intolerant so I need to be careful about everything reacting to every part of me! This shampoo was decently priced and my skin did not react to it (my skin can break out in these tiny red bumps that are fairly itchy to anything too harsh) which was such a relief. I don’t really notice any extra volume to my hair, but my hair is quite soft using this shampoo so can’t complain. Wish that it made my oily scalp last a little longer between washes but you can’t have everything. Anyone with sensitive skin should be good with this as its fragrance free, paraben free and sulfate free, and the essential oils they do use in the product don’t irritate the skin and personally I enjoy the smell!

This stuff really likes my fine oily hair, and I feel comfortable using this everyday without ruining my hair. I didn’t give it 5 lippies because I didn’t notice any increased volume, and I wish it lathered better but overall a good shampoo.

I picked this up when I was out hiking just outside of Forks, Wa this summer. I went back to my hotel and realized that I did not have any shampoo with me. I ran up to the only grocery store in forks to see what they had. This was the most natural(and one of the most expensive) shampoos there. All I can say is it’s just your average shampoo, nothing special. Got my hair clean, smells nice, didn’t mess with my curls. Gave nice volume. In a pinch this did just fine, but I wouldn’t buy it again. Nothing special. If you are here looking for your go-to miracle worker shampoo, try the seaweed bath co. shampoo in whatever scent you like. that is my personal favorite. Sad that you can’t find it on here, I’d love to write a review on that one. Hope this helps.

I’ve been using this for about three weeks now and at first it worked fine, no problems at all and all of a sudden this past week my hair has been so greasy and flat at the back! I find this shampoo gives me NO volume at all! If anything it has made my hair more limp and frizzy. I have natually wavy/curly hair and my hair is NEVER oily if I wash it everyday. Using this shampoo I’ve been washing it everyday and it leaves my hair greasy when it dries!

This is my go-to shampoo. I discovered it a few years ago and have repurchased it several times. I dislike using shampoos with SLS, so this is a great alternative. I have lots and lots of hair, but it is very fine and very straight. This helps to boost the volume without stripping it, and it hasn’t irritated scalp (I have mild dandruff). I do buy other shampoos to try once in awhile, but I come back to this in between. It doesn’t lather too much, but I don’t mind. It smells of lavender, but it’s not super strong and I like the natural scent. Overall, a solid shampoo, decently priced, easy to use, recyclable container, smells good, works well. I’d say get it to try. I use the conditioner, too.

My hair is long, a little wavy, and medium/fine. I have oily roots and dry ends, and I live in a dry climate so finding the right shampoo & conditioner is a struggle! I have been using this shampoo with the Big Body conditioner for a couple of weeks now, and I am not impressed. My hair seems frizzier since I’ve been using this, and I haven’t noticed and extra body. My hair doesn’t seem to stay clean as long, and gets all flat and gross pretty quickly. I don’t really care for the scent (medicinal lavender) but it hardly lasts anyway. If I was a big environmental nut I could just deal with this stuff, but I’m not so I’m moving on to a different product.

EDIT: I couldn’t make it to the end of the bottle!! It was like my hair rejected this overnight! I hadn’t changed anything else in my routine, but I was suddenly fraught with limp, greasy, waxy hair. And the lavender scent became perfumey and disgusting! I have NEVER tired of lavender before! I did a clarifying rinse, and persevered for another couple days, but I couldn’t handle it. No dice. Buh-bye 4-star rating. Blech.
An awesome drugstore shampoo? Who knew? This Shampoo is sulfate/parabens free, smells like lavender (ie: amazing!) and does a great job of giving my fine, sensitive-scalped, oily-rooted/dry-ended hair body and gentle cleansing.
Keep in mind that sulfate-free shampoos will not foam up as much as regular shampoos. It doesn’t mean you need more or that it isn’t working! It just means that it’s cleansing your hair gently without added detergents- a definite plus if you do have fine or fragile hair.
At $8CDN a pop, I consider it a steal- especially since I have a long history of using expensive salon shampoos that don’t come close to matching this. I will wait until I’ve completely used the entire bottle before I give it a 5-star rating, but I have a feeling this is going to be my HG. One lippie off packaging simply because I prefer long slender bottles that fit more easily on my small shower shelves.

my first time using this shampoo today – it is my first SLS-free shampoo; i decided to switch over due to irritating scalp psoriasis. i feel an instant calm in my skin. i can’t describe the feeling.. my scalp just feels so happy! my hair is very thin and this shampoo definitely gave me lots of body – without a hair dryer (i NEVER use a dryer because of my psoriasis)
the only thing i am not 100% on is the frizziness.. i have not really noticed too much today but i can see how i could potentially have a small issue with frizziness on a few days here and there. however it’s not even bad enough to take off a lippie because the benefit of calm scalp, lots of body, clean feeling hair and avoiding harsh chemicals makes up for all of that. i am not personally a fan of the lavendar smell however it is not at all bad. i love that the shampoo is clear like water, and it actually lathered up pretty nicely for me, maybe i used too much? all-in-all definitely like this shampoo! so happy i found it

I love this line of shampoos. I also use the ‘Whenever’ shampoo on occasion. I decided to stop using products with SLS because it was irritating my skin. Since I’ve switched to this line I’ve experienced less breakouts along my hairline and I lose much less hair when I wash. It smells amazing (I personally like lavender) and it makes my hair feel clean, soft and manageable. It also does give it noticeable body. I will continue to buy these shampoos. P.S. The ‘Whenever’ conditioner is also another gem.
