This is a pretty average shampoo. The smell is fantastic. I love green apple and this one is nice and clean. My hair feels fine, soft as usual.
I picked this up because my scalp has been dry lately, though I don’t think it’s dandruff. I suffered with that throughout high school and always came back to this shampoo after trying others. I thought I’d give this a try to see if it’d help regular dry scalp and it hasn’t done much. I can’t mark it down for that though. It did its job for me back in high school. My dandruff was terrible. This really helped back then. I’d buy this again if my dandruff ever came back. As a regular shampoo, probably not.

I accidentally toned out my ombre with a permanent blonde toner and was looking for ways to get it back without using a color remover product (like Color Oops) or bleach. Clarifying shampoo helped a little bit. I knew washing my hair over time would fade the color but I wanted something quicker. I kept finding articles that said Head & Shoulders would fade color, watched a few youtube videos where people demonstrated the process- so I bought it. I mixed this with baking soda in a 1:1 ratio and slathered it on wet hair, put it up in a cap for 40 minutes, then rinsed in the shower. My hair was pretty dry afterwards (expected result since I put 2 detergents in it), but I saw a lot of the color rinsing in the tub so I felt encouraged. I did this a second time and now the toner is 90% out of my hair. Pretty happy with that.

I actually love head and shoulders for my hair but also for my makeup brushes, yes my makeup brushes natural and synthetic, I really don’t think there’s need to spend 23-30 dollars for a brush cleaner when head and shoulders comes with zinc that can kill fungus and bacteria just in the first wash and it only costs about 10 or less. It also leaves them extra clean, soft and smelling nice for a long time 🙂 I truly recommend that if you have a bottle at home you try it with your brushes and sponges.

My hair has never reacted as quickly to a product as the 2-in-1 head & shoulders product. I’ve been getting some mild/moderate dandruff and was really looking to get rid of that, so I went to buy this product. The first day there was still a little bit of dandruff left, but my hair felt soft and fresh. The SECOND day, however, my hair feels disgusting. It’s distinctly sticky to the touch and looks as though it hasn’t been washed in three days. I hopped back in the shower in case I hadn’t washed it out thoroughly, but even this didn’t help. I’m heading to the store today to find a new shampoo, I can’t WAIT to get rid of this. I’m just frustrated that I spent a whole 7 dollars on a bottle I can’t use.

They must have changed the formula within the past year! I’ve always had a problem with dandruff and a mild case of seb derm on my scalp. I had used H&S primarily for a long time and liked this one best because I liked the scent but about 8 months ago I felt like it wasn’t working like it should and switched to a salicylic acid shampoo (either selsun naturals or neutrogena TSal). I decided it was time to change it up again so went and purchased this again last week. I am SO disappointed! I don’t know what the hell they did to the formula but this no longer works AT ALL for me. It’s not helping with my scalp issues much even though I use it as recommended and always let it sit on the scalp like the bottle says. However it’s reduced effectiveness is not what really bothers me…
This shampoo leaves a disgusting film on my hair now!!!!! I had to check the bottle a million times to make sure I didn’t accidentally grab the 2 in 1! Nope I grabbed the plain shampoo it just sucks now. It doesn’t matter how long I rinse my hair there’s always a nasty feeling residue left behind that I can STILL feel after drying and styling my hair. I even tried using this first and then following up with a regular, gentle clarifying shampoo and the residue is STILL there ☹️ it feels gross, makes my fine hair tangle easier and look dull. Hubby can finish this up because I’m switching back to an SA shampoo ASAP! Btw TGel also works for my scalp but I loathe the smell and feel like it dries my hair out more than the SA formulas.

This review is for the 2-in-1 shampoo. I have tried Head and Shoulders in the past and never liked it. However, an itchy scalp led me to give it one more chance, and I was hoping that since it has some decent reviews, maybe it had improved. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have changed much except for the scent. It just didn’t get my hair clean. The apple scent didn’t last at all. By the next morning, my hair looked and felt like it hadn’t been washed in a week. I couldn’t wait to get in the shower and wash my hair with anything else besides this shampoo. Definitely won’t buy this again.

I had a really bad case of dandruff that is extremely itchy and inflammed. This helped soothe it. I still have it but i think i will just keep using this until it does go away. I never really had dandruff so i wasnt sure if this would actually help but it does!

I use it as a cleansing shampoo once a month to get rid of any build up products.I have dry curly hair and it dries it out but leaves my scalp refreshed and clean.It smells amazing as well.

my dandruff has been very bad for the last couple of years and I finally discovered this. I used this for about 2 weeks. In the first week everything was great and it got rid of most of my dandruff. The second week this made my hair super greasy and waxy right after I got out of the shower. I love the smell of this but it doesn’t stay for long. I started using the scent with the almond (also a 2 in 1) and that one works a lot better, I like the smell way more, the smell actually stays, and it makes my head less itchy. NOTICE/I still use my regular shampoo with this because if I use just the head and shoulders almond one my head will still be very itchy.

This is a lovely and gentle shampoo for my dry and highlighted hair. It makes my hair soft and shiny. I also adore the smell of apples. As I don’t have dandruff, I don’t know how the shampoo performs in that department. I have started washing my hair less often and I find that this shampoo allows me to go a couple if days without washing it. I’m very happy with this shampoo and will definitely keep buying it.
