Well, the search for a hydrating masque continues. I purchased this one on a BOGO at Ulta. I’ve been looking for an alternative to the Sally’s GVP version of KPAK, which hasn’t been delivering as of late. I was hoping this was it, but alas, after one use, I wasn’t sold. My hair was a bit softer, but nothing extraordinary. In fact, the ends were kind of rough. I didn’t get much slip with this product, either. I was hoping for more. I will exchange for another Shea mask at Ulta.

I really like this line in general, but won’t repurchase this product. I have 2a hair and I tried using this both with a heating cap and after shampooing in the shower. I didn’t find it moisturizing and my hair didn’t feel nice after using it. Smell is strong, but I kind of like it.

I wanted to love this. I wanted to keep it. I wanted this to be a great mask for me. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. It did great things for my hair. I had moisturized, soft, smooth hair. However, I could NOT tolerate the smell. It was terribly strong, overly floral, and didn’t fade. I had a migraine within 5 minutes of applying this. I tried it a second time to see if I had a fluke headache, but the smell triggered another headache. Because of this, it went back. Unfortunately, the same thing happened with another mask from this brand. It performed, but the smell was simply too much. I wish they would make one in the curl and shine scent as I seem to only be able to tolerate that. I may try the honey mask from this line, as I am able to tolerate the serum. Overall, this is great if the scent doesn’t bother you.

This conditioner smelled and applied nice, but I don’t feel like it improved my hair after deep conditioning for an hour under a plastic cap and towel. It didn’t hurt my hair either, so three lippies for that. I have other deep conditioners that do more for my hair, so I passed this one on to my mother and will not repurchase.

This line is awesome awesome awesome. I have 3b curly fine, thin hair, that has been colored. This made my curls come to life. I love the protein in this line of shea moisture.

I like this product, currently on the quest for the perfect deep conditioner. Still looking this did ok with added oils and under hooded dryer, left my curls really soft and manageable I don’t know if I love it enough to repurchase though.

First of all, I love the neon green color of the packaging (Green is my favorite color 🙂 ). This masque was on sale at Target and I adore monoi based products so I knew I had to try this. This is also exclusive at Target. This treatment features keratin, peptides, and botanical extracts (noni and monoi) and is geared towards wavy, curly, frizzy hair. I left it in for five minutes as the packaging said. You can also use it with a heating cap for 30 minutes. It has decent slip. You can feel the shea butter and oils linger a bit while rinsing, but it left my hair feeling softer and detangled. It didn’t feel greasy at all. It has a nice tropical floral smell too. The texture is reminescent of whipped butter. It does smooth down the frizz for me which is the bane of my existence and I can’t wait to try the matching hair glosser next time I go to Target. If you are protein sensitive, avoid. Glycerin is also high in the ingredient list so it may not work as well during cooler temps.
