This masque feels very luxe. The smell is amazing, and the texture is smooth and buttery. I wish it didn’t come in a jar because it gets messy, but I suppose most masques do. It makes my dry, color-treated hair smooth and soft the day I use it. But it doesn’t leave a lasting effect, meaning it doesn’t seem like a “treatment” to me. But if you’re looking for something to give short-term glamorously smooth hair this is it.

Fantastic mask! I got a color treatment done and the stylist used this on my hair and I immediately asked her what she put on my hair because I literally felt my hair drinking it up. I’ve never felt a mask do that to my hair before. Usually I’d have to apply heat to know the mask was absorbing but this mask absorbed right in just on my wet hair which is what I prefer as I hate sitting under a dryer. I don’t consider the mask experience but on par with other salon brands and it’s totally worth it. My search for the perfect mask is over!

This stuff is amazing. yes, it’s expensive. But if your hair, like mine, is damaged from being overprocessed or just in bad shape, it’s worth it. I have medium length, super thick hair and a good sized dollop on the ends of my hair worked just fine. It smells good too. It made my hair go from gummy, dry and damaged to soft and moisturized. If you’re willing to splurge on a hair mask, this is the one!

I never have luck with hair masques and deep conditioners… I stopped even trying to make them work years ago. My hair is fine, highlighted, bottom of shoulder blade length, and I have tons and tons of it. Heavy products just make my hair look lackluster and limp, or worse yet, greasy. Luckily my hair is very healthy so I haven’t felt the need for anything more than a regular conditioner. I rotate between B&B Super Rich and Oribe’s Ultra Gentle Conditioner and I love both. But I’ve had such amazing results with Oribe products that I wanted to try this out. I can’t rave about it enough! It truly makes a difference without any of the unwanted extras.
I usually do this about once a week, using a quarter sized blob and concentrating on the ends first and the roots/crown last. I comb through and pin up my hair and then shave my legs and stuff while I give it a few extra minutes to soak in.
The texture looks and feels like whipped shea butter, so it coats my hair well. But surprisingly it’s somehow lightweight too. It rinses clean without leaving that strange, overly slick feeling behind, something I disliked with other hair masques. My hair combs through so easily afterwards, no detangler or leave-in condoner needed. And my hair feels like brand new, baby soft silk after I blow-dry. No grease, no residue, no limp locks and weighed down roots. I can actually see the difference right away, not just feel it. It’s great to have this after I’ve spent a few days beating up my hair with lots of styling products and my flat iron or curling wand. It helps nourish and protect my hair and bring it back to healthy normalcy.
I bought this for myself last Christmas, and I still have about 25% left. I haven’t always used it routinely, I skip a week or two here and there, but that’s still pretty impressive. Ten months and I still have some! Anyways, it’s an expensive product, definitely a luxury, but I figure if I’m putting out a lot of money for highlights and cuts etc., it’s worth it to have a treatment that helps maintain everything. If you have fine hair and haven’t had luck with masques give this a try.

Fabulous product!
– Moisturizes my medium to fine, blond, slightly wavy hair, shoulder blade length with highlights.
– Hair is soft, manageable, with body and shine.
– Pleasant smell – obviously scents are highly personal, but I like that this one does not linger.
I usually leave this mask on my hair for about 10-15 min.
One star off for the exorbitant price tag, $59 per tub is indeed very steep, but I find that it is a worthy splurge and will repurchase.

My hair is thin, color treated, fragile, and often dull. This product really helps with the damage caused by color treatments and adds a lot of moisture. I started using this about a year and a half ago and I don’t use any other masks now. I am usually one to try a lot of products and stockpile different brands, but I have settled on this product as the only mask I will now use. It also smells heavenly.

I can’t convey what a disppointment this product was. I thought it was going to be fantastic since I love the Royal Blow Out. But this masque was a flop. It was like putting spackle on my hair and provided absolutely zero moisture. I should’ve known when the girl at the salon said I could return it. It smelled nice and and had nice packaging, but the price was exorbitant. I don’t mind paying for product if it delivers. This didn’t.

Amazing product for my colored hair. Worth the price tag.

Fabulous stuff. Super expensive $69/5 oz. Use about a quarter size amount focussing on the mid length to ends of should length hair and then smoosh the rest through to roots, pile on head, shower cap, towel wrap and have a poodle bath once a week. This makes my hair shiny, it swings, it has weight, but isn’t weighed down. Body galore and my usually rough ends are smooth, smooth, smooth. For reference, my hair is fine, I’ve experienced loss of hair and body due to thyroid. This is a life saver for my poor hair. I will continue to repurchase for as long as I can afford it. Once a week seems to do the trick for me. Oribe products don’t mess around, they do what they say they will. They are expensive, luckily I have a salon that will take back anything I don’t like. So far I’ve only returned the Gold Pomade, horrible sticky filmy gunk. Their shampoos are amazing and you use so little it’s unbelievable. Lovely, lovely line.

i have used everything!! before this product my favourite was she umera and shiseido (can’t get the shiseido hair products in the uk but can buy in europe). i have also used frederic fekkai HOWEVER this is the best haircare i have ever used. whatever awful condition my hair is in (say when you return from holiday and its matted !!!) this product just sorts it out!
you don’t even have to use the intensive masque as the daily conditioner is excellent. it is so good my hairdresser now buys it for herself!
it seems to make your hair silky …. amazing products.
