This is the BEST smelling hair oil. My friend is a hair stylist and when she used this on me I KNEW I had to buy it. It smells delicious!!! It also gives your hair such a shiny finish.

Nice non greasy shine but does nothing for frizz or taming hair

Unfortunately this is yet another run of the mill hair oil. Granted, my hair is what you would call difficult, as my straw ends are pretty much a constant issue, even when I’ve just trimmed them. However, hard as it is for me to find anything that makes a significant difference for me, some products do work better than others.
Well my issue with this one is that even though it is marketed as a professional product and priced like one, it performs no better than any of the drugstore oils I have tried. Therefore I reach for some of my cheaper oils much more often than I reach for this. I mean it does smooth and tame things temporarily, and thankfully it doesn’t weigh hair down, but the effect is very short lasting.
It does have a pretty fruity vanilla scent, but I do smell some very noticeable alcohol in the mix. I’m not sure I’m happy about that.
I have no reason to repurchase this product.

This product has made such a big difference in my hair!
it is a wonderful lightweight hair oil that provides shine and nourishment. It’s better to use something like this because rather than just provide shine, like most finishing products, this nourishes the hair as well.
The smell is kind of intense, but it is a good smell and it fades.
It’s so easy to distribute through my hair, just a couple pumps is enough. It’s thin enough to work through my hair, but still thick/heavy enough to actually provide benefits.
I’m probably on my 3rd or 4th bottle and I plan to continue to repurchase. It really is a miracle product!
Hair oils are a different kind of oil for your hair than what comes out of your head. They have good ingredients, too. focus on the middle and ends of your hair, not the roots which could weigh down hair.
I was worried this oil would weigh down my thin blonde hair or leave it feeling gross, but it doesn’t and my hair still looks bright, it doesn’t alter the color. I actually really needed the extra smoothness on the ends. It makes my hair look soooo good and healthy. It definitely lessens frizz, too! I usually put it in dry hair, but it can be applied wet. I’ve also put a lot in and kept it in for a long time as a mask/treatment and it works great for that!
It is expensive, so I usually wait until Ulta has this on sale, then I stock up. I prefer this to other oils, it’s so much better than the redken diamond oil or matrix oil wonders.
I’ve tried the wella oil from the new luxe line which has keratin, and i still like this a little bit more.

I discovered this gem at Ulta while shopping for a new moisturizing shampoo. I must admit, the price was what caught my eye first. I believe this product was originally just a little over $40….it was on sale for $10! I’m pretty sure that is because of the demographic area of the store. Even though this product is for any ethnicity, certain ethnicities are just more likely to use/buy hair products containing oils. Anyhow, after reading the product description I was sold. Being a black woman, I have PAID for hair products before and probably would have paid retail for this product (It was a nice size bottle)….or at least found it on Amazon if someone had recommended it to me. However, for the price I couldn’t help but try it. Ulta has a great return policy anyway so, if I wasn’t satisfied, I would’ve returned it for a full refund. Win win! I love trying products with ‘light’ oils and moisturizing goodness on my hair. My relaxed hair is fine but thick. Too many heavy products or oils/moisturizers weigh it down but yet, it’s prone to dryness and shedding. Plus, I use heat implements. To combat this, I get the bulk of my moisture in prior to styling (pre shampoo treatments, conditioning shampoos, conditioners) and use styling products sparingly. I like my shoulder length hair to move when I move, stay smooth, and have a healthy sheen. This product can be applied on wet and dry hair which I like. I applied several pumps after washing & conditioning my hair as I normally do, blow-dried, and styled with a flat iron. I applied a small, additional amount to my hair after I flat ironed it but before I combed it out. I’ve also used when letting my hair air dry overnight. I LOVE this product! It gave my hair a beautiful sheen, it smells wonderful, and the flat iron just gliiiiides across the hairs surface. It’s not heavy or greasy at all! If you’re looking for a heavy oil for hair that is desperately dry, I do not think this is the product for you. I will be going back to get another bottle just to have on hand!

I didn’t think this was that great I get better results with Organic Coconut oil. This didn’t add shine, nor did it defrizz my hair at all. My hair essentially felt the same. When I use coconut oil the same way or argan oil, I always get results.
$40 bucks for this as well. Don’t waste your money if you’re like me and have coarse, thick, long hair. This wont do anything miraculous.

Wella Oil Reflections Smoothening Treatment is kind of dry oil that works great on damp hair. It does control frizz and makes hair smooth & soft. However, it neither does add any extraordinary shine to hair nor makes dry hair frizz free. check out detailed review here: Wella Oil Reflections Smoothening Treatment Review

I received a 2mL sample from my local beauty supple to try out. The SA said this was nice for adding softness and shine which turned out to be accurate. It has a vanilla like scent that gradually fades and contains vitmamin E, avocado oil, macadamia oil, and coconut oil. There is also alcohol denatured which may concern some. It does work to smooth out the hair which is why I really like it. It takes about five minutes to fully absorb, but once it does, frizz is greatly diminished. It is wonderful for heat styling and doesn’t feel greasy even if I use a lot. I’m surprised this has already been reviewed. I’m definitely considering getting the full size.
