Hair loss….that dreaded moment we all face at some point when our hair brush seems to be carrying off most of our hair with it. I purchased a box of this at Sephora as an SA recommended to try this (having run out of my usual hair loss treatment). What I liked about Phytocyane is that it wasn’t greasy in any way, however it was slightly harsh on my scalp, probably due to the high alcohol content which made my scalp itch slightly. I applied this 3 times every week to my hair after washing and towel drying. I think this step is very important as it clears the scalp of sebum and debris, allowing the product to work better. I think some of the negative reviews could be due to scalp build-up not letting the product penetrate properly. But I’m just guessing to be fair. Not every product works for every person who uses it.
During the time that I used it, I did notice a slight difference in the amount of visible hair shedding, however at the expense of a slightly irritated scalp. I understand the alcohols function as a carrier for the botanicals but it would be good if Phyto could find a suitable and gentler replacement. In general I love this brand and their ingredients/philosophy but this product wouldn’t be a re-purchase for me unfortunately.

I am a 34 year old male. I have experienced hair thinning for a while and decided to try both the Phyto PHYTOLIUM 4 and PHYTOCYANE SERUMS.
First I used the PHYTOLIUM 4, I followed the instructions and found the packaging was easy to use. I didn’t see any significant results however. I perhaps noticed less fall out but no new growth. I finished the entire box but I don’t think I will repurchase.
I decided to try the PHYTOCYANE SERUM next because I thought perhaps my thinning was increased by stress. I absolutely hated the packaging. The little ampules were difficult to. break open and the tip attachment did not stay on tight causing the product to leak everywhere. I also did not see any improvements to my hair. I finished the entire box, I will not repurchase.

This serum for hair loss is fantastic. I used to think all these things are gimmicks because most of them are except this one. I used to have bald spots near my hair line on both sides of my head plus my hair was falling like crazy due to stress; and this worked miracles! It not only stopped hair from falling as much as it used to but also started growing hair on my bald spots that i had since childhood. I hated wearing my hair in a ponytail due to this reason but now I can wear one no problem. I only bought the one package and that was enough for me. I will definitely repurchase if need be in the future!

I’ve been using the Phytocyane set for 2 months and I don’t think my hair is growing faster than usual; however my hair has stopped falling out, and feels slightly thicker.
I was having an alarming amount of hair fall, probably due to stress and health issues, and I recently noticed that hardly any falls now. I’d estimate an 80% reduction, so it’s significant. I also noticed I have several very short hairs emerging from my scalp, and they don’t look like breakage, so I think the product is stimulating the follicles that were inactive. Since running out of the serum, my hair fall has increased again, but it’s still probably around half of what it was before beginning the treatment.
The Phytocyane set includes a shampoo, a scalp treatment and a nutritional supplement. Phyto’s website emphasizes that this set is meant specifically for women’s hair hormonal thinning and loss, whereas the Phytolium products are for men, or women with chronically thinning hair related to genetics. I appreciate their holistic approach. I’ve reviewed the other products in the set separately. I recently spoke to a Phyto rep and she said you need to go through a cycle of two-three boxes.
The serum contains alcohol and goes directly onto your scalp, so you can imagine it can be drying if you apply too much in one place. Phyto provides a plastic applicator to put on the end of the glass ampoule after you snap the top off (incidentally, I worried about jagged edges or shattering the tube, but never had an issue!). This makes the product come out soooo slowly that I think I only used it once. However, I would recommend using it if you have the time, because it ensures the correct application for the area. I accidentally poured half a tube on one spot, I got flakes there for a while.
Even without accidental spills, I found I ran out of product after covering only half my head. If I would have stuck to using the applicator, I would have been able to do the whole thing. The process is almost like applying hair color to roots with a squeezy bottle. Probably much easier with a helper! I wish they’d package it like phytopolleine, in a smaller bottle with a tip; still, I’ll buy this serum again because it absolutely worked.
Phyto recommends a three-month course of Phytocyane treatment starting with one ampoule after every wash, then one per week after that. I found this set lasted me almost two months, but it depends how often you wash your hair. You only receive enough supplements for one month, but I had enough shampoo for two months. If you buy the kit from Sephora, you basically get the shampoo for free.

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease June 3 of this year. Due to all the drugs I am taking I am losing my hair slowly, and bought this treatment. I don’ t know if its this or the biotin or the Nixion conditioner Im using but my hair loss is still going but not as much.
But this product is a little too expensive but then again its not too expensive for me to be bald

I bought 2 boxes in Paris which was so much cheaper. The sales lady at Parashop suggested I get 2 boxes for better results and it was buy 1 Phyto item get the 2nd Phyto item 30% off. The prices in the USA is about a 30% mark up.
I was losing a lot of hair over the summer 2013 due to stress and working too much. I also always (since childhood) had super thin hair/baldish spot near the left temple. So I decided to try it since the box said it was for stress related. I didn’t follow the instructions on the box because it didn’t work for my schedule. It says to use 1 vial every 2-3 days. But since I wash my hair every other day I would use half a vial every time. I didn’t bother using the contraption it provided because it SUCKS! I instead transferred the serum into a dropper container. So after I wash my hair and let it air dry for 15 minutes (I didn’t want to water down the serum with super wet hair) I would use half a vial everytime using the dropper and squeeze it onto my scalp concentrating on the forehead and temples and lastly the crown and rest of the head.
So I’m here now because I had just finished the 2 boxes. I’m not losing as much hair anymore. In fact I’m losing even less hair than I use to when it was healthy. The bald spot near my temple has also become fuller.

By far the best “hair tonic”. Been looking for something to at least reduce the rate of hair thinning, especially at the crown (e scalp is visible), so decided to get it even though it’s quite expensive. Surprisingly, it does not cause any excess oiliness ( compared to other pdts used before), instead it seems to act like a root lifter, with slight cooling sensation, doesn’t cause ANY hair drop when massage into scalp!!! In order to use sparingly the precious serum, I placed e solution in a spritz bottle for easier application. Other all I’m very satisfied with this.

I’ve been having a slow, awful hair loss the past three years to the point where I saw gashes of scalp and a huge thin spot on the back of my head (I’m not at cue-ball stage or anything, but most would suggest I use Toppik). I just got this yesterday: Obviously there are no signs of regrowth after 13 hours, but my scalp feels amazing! I’ve had excess oil production and my hair feels like I’ve bathed it in Crisco. The worst part is that oily hair actually smells unpleasant. Today, clean, light, fluffy goodness. Maybe it’s the alcohol base, though. And almost no scalp showing! I can’t speak for the long-term properties, but nothing – mousses, tonics, sprays, etc – has made my hair look anything like this. In fact, the others ended up making my hair look limp and sparse and super greasy. In short, love. I bought Phytopolleine today and am hoping it’ll help.

A year ago, I became alarmed by my hair loss. I tried this expensive product out of desperation. I honestly think it helps, although I also started taking vitamins (but I eat very well anyway) and the Phytocyane shampoo for women with thinning hair. Still, I noticed a considerable slowing of my hair loss during the time I was using the serum. Several months later, I suspected that the hair loss might be starting again, so I dashed out and picked up another set of ampoules. Again, the hair loss seemed to stop. Now, I can’t be certain this helps as it is impossible to conduct a proper study on oneself, but if you are really worried about excessive or prolonged hair loss, give this a shot – if you have the 89$ to fork out.

I have been using Phytocyane Revitalizing Serum for about 3 weeks. I wear my hair pulled back alot and so the edges are beginning to thin. I apply the serum to my edges about three times week. I could not get use to the glass applicator bottles, so I brought a plastic applicator bottle from the beauty supply store. You have to be really careful when opening the glass top (maybe I’m just heavy handed). My hair is beginning to thicken around the edges! I will continue until I finish all the bottles and then use the shampoo, hair mask along with styling cream to maintain. The Sephora Associate recommended the Phyto Hair Relaxer. She said it has received rave reviews and many customers are switching from their current Relaxer to the Phyto Relaxer. It’s almost time for a re-touch, so I will keep “The Alley” posted.
