According to the GOSH website the Overnight dry oil is a ‘vegan-friendly overnight treatment product for dry hair, split ends and damaged hair, which has been over-processed or heat damaged’. Which just about describes my hair. I use it as an overnight treatment and as the last step when I style my hair. It definitely makes hair softer and shinier. The ends of my hair are frizzy and when I use this, the ends come together in strands like normal hair instead of looking like cotton wool. I’m not sure how much it actually repairs. But I do find that it adds a protective layer which prevents hair from drying out and splitting and it certainly makes my hair look much better. The fragrance is pleasant and mild – I get asked what perfume I’m wearing, when I use it. It’s a spray, but I don’t use it as such; I spray some on one hand, rub my palms together and smooth it primarily over the ends and then the rest of the hair.
EDIT: I upped it from four to five lippes, becuse I find myself using it constantly.I’m amazed at how it leaves my hair shiny and bouncy and not greasy at all. I’ve looked up one of the main ingredients; Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, also known as Marula oil, which has hydrating properties and small molecule size, so it soaks in instead of leaving a greasy layer on top. There is dimethicone in the GOSH oil, and I know that some reviewers don’t like ‘cones, but I’d definitely recommend sampling another product with Marula oil, since this seems to be the magic ingredient.
