There really isn’t anything good I can say about this serum. It claims to eliminate frizz. It doesn’t. It claims to soften. It didn’t. It claims to restore and nourish. Another ‘no’ from me.
The consistency of this was what first put me off. It’s hard to describe, but with other serums I’ve used they’ve been quite liquidy in nature and therefore easy to run through your hair. But this stuff was quite thick and once applied, really weighed my hair down and made it feel super oily. It also smelt horrid! Very medicinal, almost like cough syrup (I think there may have been cloves in there somewhere – it certainly smelt that way).
I got this in a beauty box and am quite astounded to learn that it won the 2014 Beauty Insider’s Choice award (it must have been slim pickings that year). There’s certainly no award I’d give it, other than a one way ticket to the trash. Which is exactly where it ended up. Definitely not worth the £14.99 price tag, especially when you can buy other hair serums which would out perform this any day of the week and wouldn’t leave your hair smelling like you’d just fallen into a vat of cough medicine. One to avoid.
