I tried to like this, kept it around for half a year but every time I used it, it left my hair a sticky clumpy mess. It felt dirty. I have very thick, salt and pepper hair that doesn’t like oil or serum but prefers moisture gels and creams. I discovered Mane n tail herbal cream and boy my hair softens right up like magic

Unfortunately, this “Cosmopolitan-magazine” hair oil, and not-so “natural “hair brand, in reality, made my hair super greasy so I’d suggest to use it very sparingly. It also did not do its intended job – to smoothe my hair and split ends. Instead, I found my hair was drier after I washed it off each time. I was actually very happy to run out of it and try new hair oils. Also, it does have a very strong tropical coconut-pineapple-pina colada kind of scent. And I will not be re-purchasing.

So the thing here is that I have super weird frizzy wavy-transitioning-to-straight dehydrated hair and that had always make me insecure about my hair (I think is one of the silliest things in the world) so I used to always straighten it so it looks good but it’s just so annoying. I air dry my hair all the time cuz using the blow dryer makes my hair even worse than it already looks but nothing seemed to help my hair just be nice and soft.
I worked at a Sally Beauty Supply alike place and they had this brand that I’ve never heard of before and decided to read the label and it said that it was Cruelty Free and vegan and i was surprised because of the price.
So long story short I decided to buy it and see what would happen and omg, best purchase ever. It leaves my hair amazingly soft and helps me detangle it, but yeah, you have to put it on your palms before and then smooth it on the hair. It even helped with my super bleached hair which was super dry.
I found my holy grail for hair and I will totally repurchase again. 100% recommended.

This stuff is the bomb..I have tried every leave in/smoothing lotion/oil..you name it and I’ve tried it. Bought this stuff at CVS after reading about it here and I couldn’t be happier. I have fine/color treated hair with dry, frizzy ends and this stuff makes my hair shiny and smooth without weighing it down too much.

I have been on the hunt for a hair oil with no silicones, searching high end to low end and finding nothing. My hair can’t handle argan oil, much too heavy on my thick but fine textured hair. So when I discovered this at the grocery store, I bought it without thinking twice. Coconut oil has always worked splendidly with my hair. I agree with the other reviewers, spray this on your palms then work through the hair, spraying it directly on the hair is a great way to make a greasy mess. I use 2 pumps, and distribute it on towel dried hair, concentrating on the ends. I have tried using it on dry hair, but it doesn’t seem to absorb that way, so it makes my hair a bit limp. Sometimes I like to coat my hair with several sprays, sleep with it in, then shampoo in the morning. Using it as a pre-poo oil leaves my hair so soft and silky. It also smells delightful, like mangoes and coconut, a favorite combo of mine. I’m glad my search for a silicone free hair oil is over. I will continue to repurchase this and recommend to others.

Finally! I finally found THE product that works for my hair!!! Smells like cotton candy but is indeed a weightless oil. Does not leave an oily residue on hands after smoothing into my hair but if you use too much your hair will look greasy even though it won’t feel that way. So glad I read the review written by “ensayles” for tips on applying to your hands and smoothing along hair as opposed to spritzing directly on hair, which is a sure fire way to overdo it and end up looking like a greasy mess. I love how silky soft this makes my hair. I’ve struggled for a long time looking for a product that will soften my hair sufficiently without weighing down my curls. This does what I was hoping the Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Treatment would do for me (but did not). My hair is relatively thick and I have a lot of it so it can look big and unruly if not kept under control. Maui Moisture shampoo, conditioner and masks/treatments have helped immensely but this oil mist is the ultimate in softening for me. If you do end up applying too much, leave it in overnight – it is a wonderful pre-wash treatment. Your hair will feel incredible. The first time I used it I applied too much and wore my hair in a braid 4 days in a row before washing again – this worked wonders on my hair. It was as though I had a professional deep hot oil conditioning treatment when I finally washed my hair again. Loving this more than any other hair product.

LOVE THIS! i have curly, fine hair so the struggle is how much product is enough and how much weighs my hair down? there is a very fine line between the two! this oil gives my hair a nice shine and a great smell without weighing it down. i love it!!

My hair is INCESSANTLY dry, despite using no styling tools and ONLY using moisturizing styling products! I want long silky hair that just hangs, but I have frizzy hair that dries funny. I had just cut 2 inches off of my hair 6 weeks ago and it was ALREADY looking fried and dried so I walked down the aisle at Walmart determined to get a “better” conditioner. That’s when I realized that the conditioners all had water as the first ingredient and some type of alcohol as the second….even as I continued into the more and more expensive brands, they still had alcohol as the second ingredient! I determined that I would find SOMETHING without that drying alcohol ingredient (at least so far near the front) and came upon this product line. See my reviews of Maui Moisture shampoo and conditioner for those, but as for this spray….
I paid about $6.50 for this at Walmart and at first didn’t like it because it was much too greasy….but technically I had tried it at Walmart by spritzing a pump on my dry hair and it says to put it in wet hair so I wanted to give it a fair shot. To get this to work well, here’s the trick….spritz it into the palm of your hand and smear it between your palms, then smooth it onto/into your hair starting ONLY where it’s dry (so for me that’s below my ears.) I do one spritz on the left side and move it over to the right, then one spritz starting on my right side and smearing it over to the left. If I do 3 spritzes, then I’m on the greasy side. That’s it. I have done one spritz wet and then decided to do another spritz dry and that worked well, to…but put it on your palms…don’t spray it straight into your hair! Since I only wash my hair every 3rd day, I usually use 2 spritzes straight out of the shower, another on the second day, ONLY a spritz on the 3rd if I need it….so generally 3 spritzes twice a week. It’s gonna last me FOREVER!
I have tried other hair oils, coconut oil, and most recently I was using EVOO…this works better than all of that! But if your hair is already healthy, avoid this…it’s for dry, damaged hair like mine that can soak up the oils.

I picked this product up at the drugstore a little while ago, mostly because of the “SILICONE FREE” printed on the label. My hair doesn’t hate silicone, but it also needs a break from it once in awhile. Well, I tried this product when I got home before I was going to wash my hair, and was disappointed that it was just too heavy for me (it looked totally greasy).
But, I let it sit for a bit while doing other things around the house, and eventually got in the shower and washed it out. My hair felt so soft! So, this is definitely my favorite pre-shampoo type product. I love coconut oil, but I am a very lazy person who likes to create as little mess as possible, so I rarely break it out. If I do, it’s usually in the summer when it’s already liquefied and not a pain to get out of the jar, haha. 🙂
I am sure this product would work as intended on coarser/thicker hair than mine.
